1. That is so sad! It's still a little puppy! Good luck!
2. Very good dog! You should go get her a medal :)

Dog pregnancy.

Puppies is a LOT of work. Although mommy will take care of them for the most half, but you have to take care of mommy! Momma dog should go to the vet, see if she is pregnant. And while your there, give her a health check - especially if she's pregnant! Trying to urinate but not going could be a sign of a urinary tract infection. I had a cat with that problem, and that was what was wrong with him. So check her for the urinary tract infection and pregnancy. We really don't want anything wrong with your dog! Please keep us updated
4. I cant see it?
5.
On petfinder.org there was a Beagle mixed with a Great Dane. It looked so funny because it had the beagle colours, with really long legs. I tried to find a picture but he must have been adopted. There is a cute Dobe mixed with a Rottie they she's beautiful.
There is the image :)
6. Well, a cure for that is to take her to a park for her to 'go' so she doesn't leave in inheated scent around the house. It will help, but probably not eliminate the chances of dogs hanging around. You could also get those doggie panties :) I read about that in a book so it should be a good solution. But it is kind of difficult to do..
7.
Scotty_lvr, we are a fairly friendly board judging from the several other similar forums I have seen. Many here are involved with animal welfare/breed rescue etc and the amount of dogs put to sleep is not only sickening and saddening but a constant source of frustration. a lot of it IS education, or lack thereof. there are not enough people being educated about the overpopulation crisis in shelters and too many myths still abound about the desexing of pets. DP and Aroura have made some excellent points, as has Roxy. this is a forum where we voice our opinions, some not as popular as others but there are strong personalities on here as you may well have guessed. We don't always agree with guests and we disagree amongst ourselves too. If you've been offended, sorry, but that's the way most forums operate! 8)
Very well said, BK. I happen to agree 100000% with you ;) My opinion is usually out-weighed but I then see their points and they are right :o I am learning a lot here, and I thank these people for "typing" their opinions and getting my stubborness to listen :D I think DogPaddle asked a lot of good questions that should be answered. I really hope we didn't scare her away and that she'll come back.
8. Here are some boy names with their meanings! I cheated, I went to a baby name web site hehe Findlay - Blond-haired soldier Finlay - Blond-haired soldier Finley - Fair Haired One Finn - Fair Phineas - Loudmouth (could change it to Fineas)
9. The black kitten has died... It was expected but I had my hopes up thatd it'd survive. I can't seem to stop crying. It's been two hours since we found out. I feel like it's all my fault even though I know it wasn't. I was its mommy and I had failed it. If the tiger kitten dies, I dunno what I'll do. I think I might keep the tiger kitten now. I really wanted to keep the black kitten because it was so 'helpless'. I seem to like the helpless things. Picture of both the black and tiger kitten
10. I'll admit, I don't know that much about pits. I'm guessing that pits are naturally agressive to other dogs, and not people?
11. Horsefeathers: very brave of you to voice that even when you think it might make someone mad! :) I definately don't want no agrument, so I sincerely apologize.
12. I agree, your pit does sound dangerous. I, myself, have never met an agressive pit in my life. I've seen them around other dogs and they were just fine. You should probably make sure that your Pit has all its shots, Rabies and distemper especially. Also make sure it's spayed/nuetered because that can cause a little agression if it knows another male dogs around with a female dog inheat. Hope these tips help. I also suggest getting a vets recommendation to help it. Take it to dog classes to try and get it socialized well - which you should have done as a puppy.
13. I absolutely agree with you, Aroura. My sister thought I was nuts taking on these kittens, but I got money saved up for just an emergency :D So she couldn't argue with me. If she didn't want to desex her dogs, she should have separeted them through the heat cycle. It can be difficult, but it CAN be done! Or use those doggie-panties. That'd also help even more. Kind of a low-ranked birthcontrol.
14.
Put a bell on his halti - he won't be able to hear it when you jiggle the line but he may feel the vibration. You'll have to work on training him to this in a calm environment to start with. You can also get key chains that vibrate and/or ring when you clap or whistle - again same idea - he should be able to feel the vibration even if he can't hear it and then you'd be able to get his attention when he's off lead. I have also heard of deaf dogs trained to respond to when someone stomps on the ground - works better inside of course.
Oh yes, my old deaf dog could feel hand claps and foot stomps. It worked rather well! He's getting old... He's my grandmas dog. All her dogs are 10+. We don't expect her older Pom to live much longer.
15. You know, I never heard of animal abortions til I came here, lol. The more I think about it, the more I think it's a good idea. I think we scared the person away though :(
16. You've certainly had a rough week. I'm glad to hear the boy is ok. How's the other 2 doing? My sis tried to commit suicide once... I didn't know what to do because she told me she took an overdosage..! I actually don't remember what I did either? All I remember is her going to the ER. Poor sissy.. She had to eat charcoal :o
17. I agree with the rest. Puppies are 'very' expensive! I'm against cropping/docking too :( I always thought it was cruel. I'm against de-clawing cats too..
18. I let my 10 wk old puppy out ever 3 hours, but she doesn't have a BM every time. She used to when she was younger, but not now. It's (as mentioned) the new food and probably the new environment. Have you tried to use the food that they breeder used?
19. Congrats! You must be soo pleased! And who could blame you?
20. Well, "I" stop eating the food I like and eat things I hate (like carrots, milk, corn, steak..) once in a while. I think it's because my body isn't getting the correct amount of nutrition. So my body makes me crave other things.. I'm not really sure though.. Then again, this is a dog. It could be sick and not hungry (but wouldn't turn down a yummy meal!). I'm not really sure :(

Hurray!

It turns out they wanted MY puppy..! I quickly fixed the problem and put a 'not for sale' on my web site..! Least I know she's cute..!
24. Oh that sounds like so much fun!

Hurray!
