I contacted a local pure-breed rescue to see if I can help them in any way, and they finally contacted me back! It seems they have an Eskie! Remember I'm trying to start an American Eskimo Rescue? This could be the beginning of it! (not counting the rescued kittens). I'm so excited! Please note, I'm still looking for volunteers and would accept donations by money order or check IF I acquire an Eskie!

I hear that a lot, lol. When I was 14, people thought I was 17.. Now I'm 17, and who knows what people think. I'm a 'very' resposible young lady, that's how I was allowed to move out early! Or maybe it was because I brought in to many pets? Hmm....

Oh I absolutely love the first one! I'm showing it to my sis now

I like the name Patches too. I can't wait to get a puppy/kitty that I can call that. How about the names Claws or Paws? Kidding! Lacy (like shoe laces, puppies love shoes) Venus (girl) Baby, Sweety or Honey Clover (they like grass too...)

I'm using Purina puppy chow right now. Do you guys suggest that I move to a different brand now, or should/can I wait til she's off puppy food?

There might be a space in between lines. Try removing any spaces inbetween the img and /img tags

I don't have a bond with neither of my parents. Nor my grandparents - whom I grew up with. I was spoiled rotten and still not happy. I actually requested once to be sent to my room. I wanted punished! Now I'm on depressant meds and sleeping meds.. And moved out! I'm 17 years old.

[quote name='mjriggl2'] Also, I gave this dog Lycoposium 30C and feed him Canidae (he was on Iams). [/quote] May I ask, what is Lyc and Canidea? I've never heard of them before. It is absolutely wonderful that the dog is getting better! You should feel very proud of yourself for recognizing a problem, not a habbit, and taking care of it!

Is Purina a good choice? That's what I use...

You know, I've never met a vicious doberman in my life! I had one live down the street from me, and he was really sweet!

Considering the money expenses, I'd suggust you wait until the next litter. The last thing you need is to get a puppy that requires shots, spay/nuetering, heartworm meds, etc. and buying a house..! The bills would be hard to pay off.. and add a lot of stress on you.

I usa Frontline, and my vet(two of my vets, one for dogs and one for cats) recommend it! You may consider Sentinel, I haven't heard anything wrong with it (yet).

Aonir replied to ellieangel's topic in Veterinary information
Did they take x-rays to see if the dog swallowed anything? This dog once ate coins on Animal Planet.. -
I believe we did, Dog Lover... :o

[quote name='ellieangel']I do agree with all of you that this breeding should be discouraged but I have to say ..........that goldendoodle is gorgeous......sorry :([/quote] Don't feel bad, I like 'mutts' too! There was this one dog who was mixed so much, that it actually became a breed! Can't think of it's name though.. Was on TV a lloonngg time ago.

[quote name='Pumpkin the musher']I agree Annushka- a true Siberian is quite different from what the show style is here in the States. There is a man in Canada trying to breed back to what they originally looked like- he calls them Seppala siberians in honor of one of the founders of the breed in the west, Leonard Seppala. If I can find the website again I'll point you at it, really interesting stuff.[/quote] That isn't the original Sibes?? Find the link, I wanna see!

My friend has got to get rid of his APBT
Aonir replied to Angelboddy's topic in Amstaffs & Pit Bulls
That is so sad that she has to go through that. I think getting a puppy and getting rid of the dog is just mean! :( -
Hmm.. The quiz said I should get an American Eskimo.. *looks over at her puppy* That's what she is.. Maybe it gets it right 50/50? or 1/100?

Sounds good enough to me! Here's a little advice about Puddles - let her help you pick the new dog! Bring her with you and see if she likes any of them from the selections. I suggest going to a Pap rescue that will widen your choice. Or if you want a puppy, go to multiple breeders.

OES means old english sheepdog :) Congrats! And, like abker said, we'd love to see pics!

I really like the number 3 of any animal. 3 to me is perfect. However, I grew up with 4 dogs, 4 cats, 2 birds, 2 iguanas, and 1 rabbit. I kept bringing in kittens (evil me,) but most were given up because they were 'to much'. Even though they were outside cats! I think that before you adopt another animal, you should consider 1. Cost (food, vet bills, etc) 2. Family (will your family love to have another pet? and have time for it?) 3. Space (all dogs need a lot of space, a lot of dogs isnt ideal for a trailer/apartment) 4. Other Animals (Will they like a new playmate??) Hope that helps. Anyone add anything I forgot!

Although I don't see 'why' anyone would dye their pets hair a different color, I say as long as the dye product is MADE for dogs - not humans - then it isn't that bad. Human shampoo is bad for dogs, so hair dye should just be as bad, if not worse. I've heard that hair dye can cause skin cancer? If that's true or not, I dunno. But if it is, that should be taken into consideration.

If you love cats, go for them! My sister loves dogs, and I love cats. My sis just got 2 kittens and I want them and she won't give me one, lol! So I tease her with my puppy. It's all in fun though. There is PLENTY of kittens in shelters everywhere. Because there is a lot of homeless cats on the streets. They impregnant or get pregnant because of that. A kitten would be easier for your hours. I still highly discourage you from getting a puppy. If you 'must' have a dog, get a full-grown dog.

I've never dressed up a dog. I mean, they got fur, right? BUT I intend on dressing up my puppy with a little flower-tiara on her head with a veil for my wedding. But that's 1 1/2 from now!

Great news! It's about time..!
