2. Use the dryer sheets to cut down on static electricity and make sure she has a place she can burrow into. Don't pamper her, or she'll get worse. I heard from another message board with someone with the similar problem that they cut down static and that the static may be what upsets the dog. Hope this helps. Good luck! 3. Hehehe :evilbat: I'm with you on that one courtnek. I could not help but laugh  I can just picture it.....
4. I feel soooo sorry for her now! The more you explain what she looks like. It makes me feel sad  I hope she feels better though. Is she going around wagging her tail? And did she give you big doggie kisses, telling you thank you? I'm sure she don't mine what she looks like, just as long as she feels better! :D

7. I agree with carolk9s. I started trainning as soon as i brought Nostalgia home. It's very rewarding in the long run. My dog reacts to any "NO". I don't have to tell her no anymore, but it's the children that i am always saying no to. So she thinks i'm telling her no and she gets all upset. I just try to let her know that she is a good girl all the time. You will get more positive reactions out of your dog if you constantly let her know how good she is. Its just like any other child. Good luck!
8. I guess i was just lucky! We have a digital camera so in take a few seconds. I just keep on telling her to get her tail til i got a good shot of her. I think thats the best shot i've gotten of her so far. I still laugh every time i see this photo. I guess it is pretty funny looking. :lol

10. I'm glad your dog was found :D And i hope your week gets better. Just hang in there and keep us posted when ever you can.
11. Congrats :bday: And wish your pup a happy birthday for me please. I wish i could get my dog a cake and toys for her b-day. But my husband says nostalgia is to spoiled as it is. I don't think she is :-? Besides you could never spoil a dog to much.
12. Oh, that is sooo sad  I'm sorry you have to go through that. My dog tries to catch birds and rabbits, but she is to slow. I think she wants to play with them. Maybe thats what your dog is doing is playing with them. She may not mean to hurt them but does not know her own strength. If she is not killing them and trying to eat them, then she may just be playing with them.
13. I came apon this sad story while lokking at weimaraner adoption places. Please take the time to read this. It broke my heart    Notes: Please read Hanna's story, and visit The American Heartworm Society for more vital information about this disease. Sweet Hanna. This little darling came to us in terrible shape. We knew that Hanna was heartworm positive, she was skin and bones, and she was in advanced stages of heartworm disease. We took her anyway, to offer her a chance at life. We worked to put some weight on Hanna before starting heartworm treatment, and on December 4, she had her first treatment to rid her of the heartworms. Hanna was doing great during the first week, she seemed to be responding well. On the 10th, she did have a setback, she went into shock and was taken immediately to the vet. She returned home on the afternoon of the 10th, and was resting comfortably all evening. Late evening, she was having another coughing attack, and was going into shock again. She was rushed to the emergency clinic where she spent the night in ICU, being cared for minute by minute. On the morning of the 11th, Hanna was transferred to hospital care with our regular vet. Hanna seemed to be doing fine, and was livening up with all the love and attention she received from the staff. On Friday night, her foster mom stopped in and hand-fed Hanna, just to spoil her, and the two hung out together for a short while. Hanna's tail was wagging fiercely, she loved the attention. The vet clinic called at about 11pm on Friday night... Hanna had had a third and final attack, and they were unable to bring her back. It was the last thing anyone expected, because she was doing so well. Her heartworm was so advanced, she just couldn't handle the battle going on inside her heart and lungs. Please take a moment today to think a good thought for Hanna, and hug your own dogs. When was the last time you had them tested for heartworm? Are they on preventative? Don't let something like this happen to your dog. Hanna suffered because of an irresponsible owner who didn't take the time to give her the care she needed. It is our hope that Hanna's loss will be a reminder to many about the real danger of heartworm, and perhaps some other dogs will be saved because of her story.
14. Such a handsome boy. He looks sooooo lonely and sad. You need to take him home. I really hope your dog likes him. Good luck, and let us know how it goes.
15. How many of you have big dog/dogs that will not eat anything in less you break it up into pieces for them. Well, my black lab is such a big baby. I just tried giving her a whole piece of bacon and she caught it in the air then lightly put it down and looked at me like "arin't you going to break it up into pieces for me?" But of course i did  And then I gave it back to her. Now this is a dog that will eat anything with no problem. Do you think i'm babying her to much?
16. I have had very weird names for my dogs that i can't even pronouns. But how about: *SKYLER* *SERINITY*
17. Oh, I love weimaraner! :calus: I would love to get a weimaraner. What color is she? And you must send us some pictures. Good luck with your new pup.
18. Here is my dog being silly. She is laying on her back trying to get her tail. And it looks like she succeeded. This is one of her tricks she does. I will ask her to "get her tail" and she will go in circles and then on her back wiggling back and forth barking and trying to get her tail. I though this would make some people laugh. Enjoy
19. Good luck! Your dog will be just fine. And when you get to see her again She will be a happy pup. Don't worry the vet will take good care of her. If you stress your dog will stress. But please keep us updated and let us know how it goes.
20. I agree! It is soooo wrong. A lot of the puppys at the pet stores are sick or have a disease. It is a very sad thing. A lot of those puppys never get out to play or even get petted. At least at humane societys they have that chance of being handled and adopted. I wish they would band puppys from being sold at pet stores.
21. Though i did not laugh, i did smile real big :D I would never wish that for anyone to go though. My children have done that to me a couple of times. But my dog knows to just lay next to the door and wait for me. I am sooooo sorry you had to go though that. I'm sure your dog did not mean it, she was just soooo happy to get inside the house to see you.
22. My husbands the same way. He thinks i'm weird for doing those things for my dog. But she is like one of my children and i think i'm going to bake some for her and see how she likes them. I'm sure she will, she will eat anything. Thanks for the recipe.
23. My baby-dog had a cow that would make those weird noises. It only took a week before she got the noise maker out of it. I now just get stuffed animals at garage sales. Because the ones at the pet stores start adding up in money. She does not know the difference any ways. As long as she has her stuffed animal to kill, Shes a happy girl! :D
24. I hate ticks and fleas soooooo much  We have fleas here very bad. The ticks are very bad more out in the country. But the fleas, My dog goes outside for a second to go potty and when she comes back in, i have to be waiting by the door to flip here over and spray her belly. She would be covered all over her belly. I to use frontline plus and a flea and tick collar. But sometimes those things just don't work. I feel for you and your dog and i hope you will be able to get rid of those awful ticks.
25. Sounds like you are nervous. You and Macy will do just fine. I'm sure you will do whats best for her. My husbands the same way, except he does not like animals at all. I got my baby-dog when we were seperated. Or i would have never been able to get her. He has no choice but to like her now. I wanted to adopt a blue tick hound a couple of weeks ago when i was volenteering at the humane society. But no matter how much i begged and pleaded he would not budge. I wish i could have another companion for my dog, so she would not feel alone when ever we were gone. But one dog is enough my husband says. I say bah-hum-bug  I guess i'm going to have to sneak one in someday
