I don't have time to read the story now, but I'll scan through it later on. That dog is beautiful, good choice Lucky. :angel: I've decided that I will be doing the Aussie. But she has no name. I know that I didn't ever meet the dog, that I didn't rescue her, or no the person that did, but I feel she should have a name, even if it's just a "temporary" one, for this Memory dogs thing. Is that wrong? Should I just keep her as no name? Or shall I go ahead and name her? :-? :-? :-? :-?

I was in Spanish class today, and my teacher said something about fasting. (Like when u don't eat at all for 1 day, usually sun up to sun down) Well, I got to thinking about it, and earlier in the day I had been trying to figure out something that I could do to honor/remember the dogs that have been abused, and then died as a result. (Ex. Chica, the Chi that came from a puppy mill, I believe Sanvean posted the link, and the dog from the story "I never knew her name" she was an Aussie.) So this is what I'm planning on doing: On Sept. 26 (A Friday, and I still might change the date) I will not eat from sun up to sun down in memory of a dog that was killed as a result of some kind of abuse. I haven't picked the dog I want to honor yet, but I will soon. I'll also be lighting a candle for that dog, which I'll leave burning all day. Before the sun sets, I'm going to do sorta like a candle light visual, (I think that's what it's called :oops: ) and basically will take a walk, with the candle, in memory of this dog. (A lot of people in my city did this after 9/11) I already have two friends willing to do this with me. I'm inviting u ALL to take part in this. U will pick a dog that u want to remember, and in honor of it, light the candle, and fast. What do ya'll think? Is it a good idea? I'm also hoping this will help raise awareness about animal abuse. I'm hoping that when I do the walk with the candle, people will ask what it is for, then I can tell them my dog's "story". I'll also get alot of questions from kids at my school, and teachers, because I won't be eating that day. Please give me any input on this, I want to know what ya'll think. :D

Sounds like fun! Just the other day I saw a guy on rollerblades and his pittie was pullin' him down the street, he was flyin'! I wish I could do somethin' like that with Abs, but she'd probably pull me into the street or somethin' and get us both killed......... :roll:

:( As most of ya'll know I went back to school Monday, and that means Abs and Cracker have to stay home alone durin' the day. :( I think that I'M the one with seperation anxiety, not her. After bein' with Ab almost 24/7 all summer it's odd when I have to leave her in the mornin'. :x :( Anyways, my question is, what are some things I can leave her to do while I'm gone? She has a Kong toy, what are some things I can stuff it with? I usually stuff it with peanut butter and some cookies, but there's gotta be somethin' else that I could put in it... :-? She also has a Talk to Me treat ball, but it's plastic and I probably shouldn't leave it with her while she's alone. :-? Another thing I wanted to say, I know I chat with alot of u on the MSN messenger, and often times I can't stay long. Please don't take it as an offensive thing when I'm only in there for a couple minutes, then have to go. I really enjoy chatting, but my schedule is so busy now, I hardly have time to relax any more. :-?
