I don't think so abker17, we've just had a man in the letters page of a national newspaper, he says he hates dogs and that they should always be on a lead and muzzled and their owners should be also. He doesn't want them spoiling his day at the pub, beach etc, drooling and sniffing everywhere. I always thought all god's creations were entitled to be on this earth, I hope when he goes for a swim in the sea he gets eaten by a shark because, well he shouldn't be there, (it's their patch) and somebody on the beach should of made sure he was on a lead.

We don't have that problem too often over here. :( When we do I normally put the fan on or they lie between the open doors and catch the breeze. Rosie lies on the laminate flooring instead of the carpet and both of them dip there muzzles in the big bucket we have under the outside tap. Ruby will lie in the childrens pool (dog pool really, no children) but not Rosie.

If you ask me, the dog should not be with any of them    and the judge should of fined both of them for their stupidity.   I feel so sorry for the dog in question,   I only hope she has grown attached to him and isn't just saying that. :( :( :(

I hope you don't mean the illegal grass Ellie. Never thought of that, I'll have to watch my two when I take them my friends, :o you never know.

The kennel club site will tell you Rosebud. :D

Ha Ha, Rosebud, Rosie ate most of the wood in our house for the first three years, she still occasionally chews on her basket (repaired again). :o I bought a new dining room suite at christmas, leather and solid wood, I prayed that she wouldn't take a fancy to it. I'd had my old one for 16 years and the legs of the chairs were practically gone and the table wasn't far off. She's chewed skirting boards, spindles on my staircase and anything else wooden she could get her teeth in to. Thankfully, she's left the new one alone.

My favourites are Gundogs. Don't know what group that is over there.

My two eat grass all the time and it doesn't seem to do them any harm. They also love wood, which I do discourage.

I like this one seeing as our leads hang on the bell (Setter bell)outside the front door. I'm not really struck by any of the English Setter items. I find in America that the English Setter doesn't look much like ours, I've only seen a few that do. :(

She's my kind of girl :iloveyou: Ruby doesn't bother with the boys at all, :o there's a little dog called Fergie who loves her to bits but she just rebuffs him. Rosie is a one boy dog, :-? she's in love with Jake who live a few doors away, she follows him everywhere.   None of them take after their mum!!!

Yes Mouse, we are too far away and there are plenty over here who need homes too. :( If only we could find homes for them all. :( It's very good of you to post the pics Rowie, you never know, there might be someone who lives near there who would be willing to adopt one. :D

There's nothing wrong with wanting to be where the boys are Rosebud. :D Take her to the park while she does a spot of dating, is she two or three timing them? Is she a bit of a flirt? Go for it girl!!! :P

That's wonderful news Behle. :D You lucky thing, I wish I had been there by your campfire. :( I hope Max wasn't trying to fell any trees now he thinks he's Arnie again.

K, I read that same article when researching for Rosie's skin. It was very informative and I am going to try safflower oil to see if there's any more improvement. They have Omega 3 oil in their food every night and also a health powder that I make up (Lecithin, Brewers Yeast, Kelp and I dry all the egg shells out and then crush them(calcium) all this mixes together, I got it from Dr Pitcairns book. As I home cook their food this is a good way to make sure they get all their requirements. They don't like yoghurt, but love scrambled egg and almost everything else. With Rosie's skin problem I have cotton pads, Tea Tree Skin Wash, A prescription skin wash, Oatmeal Cream, Savlon Cream, E45 Cream and benzyl benzoate and always a good clean towel. Thornitt powder for their ears, ear cleaners, eye cleaners, not to mention the numerous brushes, scissors, combs, mitts etc. Flipping eck, I've just realised how much hard work it sounds like. Still they're worth it.   Ruby has a beautiful shiny coat and despite Rosie's skin(thyroid) she has a nice coat as well. Yeah, michelle and crested I know what you mean. Ruby and Rosie will drink their water out of a bowl but will only take their Baileys and ice from a glass, preferably the one dad's drinking from.

That sounds familiar Mouse, I put an Asda bag on Rosie's paw, she looked a sorrowful sight. Never mind Ben, one of these days you'll get your own back, I promise.

A friend of mine has three Basset Hounds :o and her mother has three also. :o They're great, but one of them Daisy took an instant dislike to my  worse half  and would go at him every chance she got. He's a great dog lover so I don't know why she took a dislike to him.
-
I wish you hadn't told us about him licking the air, I can't stop thinking about it now, :( poor Max :( You're like me, we get that way that we watch for the signs all the time. I constantly follow Rosie round to see if she scratches herself. It's good that he's not done that since his medication  And if the stair lift would of helped, I'd of sent it on my magic carpet, no charge.
-
Behle, I know what it's like with Rosie's recent problems, you rack your brains to try to find something to help them and feel so helpless if it doesn't work out. :( Then start searching for the next thing to try. I hope and pray that Max is soon pain free and enjoying his food again. And you're right, nobody could resist a face like that, he's a very handsome man. :D  I've go a stair lift for sale if you're interested.

My dogs love tuna, sardines, kippers, pilchards etc, although they don't like salmon. They're not so keen on yoghurt but love cream and any white dips that we have. And Rosie loves her pate (she only gets it because she will not take her tablets unless we bury them in something.
