1. Never had any trouble with my neighbours, :D even though next door just bought her son a off-road bike. :x He'd only had it a week and I was pissed of with him revving it up for 4 hours so I went ballistic. :agrue: Not seen it out since. :D They are all very nice down here. :D
2. Very rarely anything for sale along here Zoe. :( There's only 12 houses and most of the people have lived here since they were built. :o The last was 3 years ago and the one before that was 14 years ago and that was us. :o There are some terraced further up the road, but even they get snapped up as soon as the signs go up. We were very lucky to get this, my sister used to live up the street and she told us about it, we looked straight away and put an offer in. We are having some trouble with children on off-road bikes but thankfully not as bad as it has been. We bought this for
3. :( I've been bitten three times by other peoples dogs, :( all in the past year. :o
4. My neighbour is the same, as you know we live opposite a lovely big Heath and take our dogs out 3-4 times a day. But she just opens her front door lets the dogs out and shuts it. They have been under my car wheels when I've been reversing into my drive loads of times. When I mention this she just says "It's okay, they'll move out of the way". She does this several times a day. She does take her dogs for occasional walks but mostly does above. When himself was working away, I'd take them out about 10.30pm and walk them to the bottom of the Heath (in my PJs) and let them have a run around, every night they were on the front by themselves. We had some newish neighbours round for drinks on Saturday night and they mentioned this. They said they'd nearly run them over several times. Luckily we're at a dead end (farm) but we still get traffic. Don't get me wrong, our two go on the front but ONLY when I am on the front. Ruby just lies on the front of the Heath and never moves and Rosie mostly doesn't bother going out but she has been known to lie in the middle of the road. But they are NEVER out of my sight and as soon as I go in they go in.
5. :D Beautiful and Clever :D
6. :D :P :D GET WELL SOON MAX :D :P :D Let us know how his bloods are asap Behle. :D I don't think you're being the over protective mum. It's lovely that you love your dogs so much  and there's nothing wrong with being worried sick about him. If you had seen me on Saturday when Cleo fell down the stairs, I was like a raving :o lunatic :o running round with her in my arms, I was so frightened. :buzi: :buzi: Lots of hugs and kisses to Max for a speedy recovery. :buzi: :buzi:
7. Every Saturday night we call the chipshop on the way home from the pub and they always put something extra in for the dogs. :D Last week we ended up with kebabs, another week sausages. I think it depends what they have left at the end of the night because :o we are nearly always the last ones in there. :o
8. Duh!!!!  Alicat, yes the eggshells provide their :o CALCIUM, :o I've got vitamin C on the brain at the moment because I'm taking supplements myself.

11. I make up the supplement recommended in Dr Pitcairns book for my dogs. Have done for a few years now. Because I homecook their food I like to make sure they get all the vitamins they need. It consists of LECITHIN, BREWERS YEAST, KELP and I also save all my egg shells (quite a few because they love scrambled egg) and crush them to a powder when dry, which gives them their Vitamin C.

13. Even so Behle, when both legs were bad it took them about ten minutes to do them. They only cleaned the sores. It used to take me nearly one hour, because I cleaned the whole leg and made sure it was thorough. I even had to do them when she was in hopital because the ward she was on wasn't a surgical ward and they didn't have anyone to do them. Can you believe it :o the ward never even had dressings and bandages. :o The healthcare in this country is atrocious, :x :o UNLESS YOU PAY :o And we do really with national insurance contributions. :x In May my sister went the doctor's, she was unable to lie flat and everything was going up and down. She's been off work 2 months now. The doctor sent a letter to the consultant marked URGENT, she got an appointment for 21 July :o The doctor said she couldn't rule out a brain tumour, :o so obviously she was more stressed which made her condition worse. I paid for her to see the consultant privately last week, thankfully he thinks it's her blood pressure out of control. Imagine waiting another 3 weeks thinking you've got a tumour and yet you can't afford to pay. :x It was worth every penny for her peace of mind. :D :D Oh god, I'm ranting again, but the things I've seen would make your hair curl. :x :x
14. Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww, thanks Rowie, you're so sweet. :D :D luckily himself is going working away in London for a few days, :D you never know, I might get a bit of peace :o But then I'll have ALL the dog walking and feeding to do. Mind you, I've got to do some shopping for mum, because although she has several children on her doorstep (I'm in another town) none of them have got her anything in.
15. Been mum's tonight, first time I've seen her since she came home from hospital on Friday. :( One of her legs is ulcerated again :( and she has open red raw wounds on it, :( it looks bloody painful and she was crying when I got there. Got her some painkillers but couldn't do much else straight away because as some of you know, as soon as I arrive Cleo starts twirling round in circles and yapping for me to take her out. Well she's 13 now but she ran like the wind over the field, her eyesight is going slightly so I have to clap to let her know where I am otherwise she follows other people thinking they're me(everyone thinks I'm cracking up) :o :o By the way, the district nurse had been today to dress my mum's arm and leg. My mum told her the dry dressings she was putting on were chafing the open sores every time she moved and she'd had to take them off. What did she do, put the same bloody things back on again. I have had to do her legs on many occasions after the nurse has been, she says they always feel more comfortable, but I put loads of antibacterial cream on under the dressing so they don't chafe. Anyway got everything ready to do this and noticed Cleo was acting strange, she staggered to her bed and had trouble getting in it, she was lolling sideways, shaking and her breathing sounded funny. Apparently she's had these before but I'd never seen them. She put the fear of GOD up me, I got down on the floor next to her bed to comfort her and she tried to get to me (a few inches) and couldn't. I stroked and kissed her, then managed to gently pick her up and put her on my knee. I kissed, kissed, kissed and more kissed hoping it would go away. Eventually she came out of it, I think it must of been some sort of fit. So there I was Mum crying in agony, dog fitting and not knowing who I should see to first, but had to comfort Cleo, I really thought she was dying and I love her so much(don't mean I don't love my mum). Her bed was all lumpy, nobody had shook it for her, took it outside and really gave it a good shake, she jumped in it like nothing had happened and snuggled right down and went to sleep. :D :D :D Finally, I managed to get mum's leg dressed, cleaned it with Sterile water then put loads of cream on and fresh dressing and bandage. Came home eventually, when I left mum was more comfortable :D and Cleo was snug as a bug in a rug. :D PHEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Here's Cleo for those of you who haven't seen her.
