Indy does exactly the same thing. He has even started doing it to strangers at our obedience classes. He has figured out by now that everyone wears treat pouches (that his head is level with them may have something to do with it) and when ever someone comes over to pat him he sits, then drops, gives his paw for them to shake and if they don't give him a treat he starts to woo woo at them :roll:

D.A.L - what do you do with the lemon juice - give it to the dog or pour it on the grass???? I'd be keen to know if there was a solution as we have the dreaded yellow spots too. I think the best thing is probably to water the grass frequently.

HF, I am so sorry that you had to make such a hard choice - even if it was the right one. I don't believe anyone could have tried harder or done more for a dog and what you have done for Penny. Lots of hugs to you :cry:

I don't really have any advice either but the only thing I can think of that is that it may be quite stressfull for a dog aggressive dog to live in a house with so many other dogs and is now releasing that in other ways.??????? I'm probably way off but just a thought. Anyway... I am sorry you are in such a distressing situation HF and I will be thinking of you. I know you will make the right decision for all involved. Though just having the dogs (especially one of Zoe's size) should be enough of a visual deterant - no need for them to be vicious. No one, not even Roy will ever know that the tiger was thinking - though I do believe that if it had really wanted to kill him Roy would have been dead in about 10 seconds (or less) and there would have been nothing anyone could have done.

I think it's sad that the law puts more value on purebred dogs because of the monetary value - a life is a life regardless of the $$$ involved.
