1. K: Sure! I'm glad you asked! :) And I'm so sorry for your friend!
  2. ShadyLady: It's hard to take the background out of the pic you have in your profile now.... that's why... Daisy: I couldn't find a picture that would be relatively easy to take the background away... Black/dark dogs are hard to mix with... /Crest
  3.
Yep that was one of the problems with the site I saw...the cats were skinned alive....hanging up by big meat hooks.....no no more....
Yes, seeing pictures like that is REALLY disturbing, but seeing it on tv and HEARING the dog scream from the top of his lungs ...that's a whole diffirent thing! I'll never forget the screaming. How many hours of screaming and pain does it take to get a full length fur coat for some rich lady?! /Crest
  4. I saw this documentary about that on the TV... I couldn't watch it long... They showed how they ripped the skin of a dog! They cut open the skin around the neck and literally pulled the skin of the dog THAT WAS ALIVE AT THIS POINT!! Can you imagine the screaming?! I nearly threw up and started crying! I HAD to change the channel!! I couldn't look at that!! It's horrible enough to take a skin of a dead dog, but to rip the skin of a dog that is alive (hadn't got ANY drugs to ease the pain) is... There's no words for it! My hands get sweaty and I start freezing and shakeing all over again by just thinking about it! That was the first and last time they showed that documentary on TV.
  5. Thanks sheltie and bk! :D I had to find something to do when I'm so bored!! :D

The picture slaughter hasn't ended yet! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA! :cooldevil: /Crest
  11. I'm so sorry Mouse... Your doggy was the next victim! :D What do you think? Anybody else have any pictures they want me to make as an avtar? :D (it's easier with a picture with for example a black dog against a white carpet (so the background is white) or something like that, so that you clearly see the dog from it's background. And it's easier allso if it's a bigger picture. The smaller the picutre the worse the result...) Mouse: I allso made the background transparent, but I'm not sure if it will go as an avtar, because gif images are bigger then jpg:s... Well you can try if you want to... here: ...and they are not as good quality as jpg... :( /Crest
  12. Jen: You're very welcome! :D It is in jpg form and it should work (I checked that it's 80 x 80 pixles (maximum size of the avtar pic) and under 10kB big). I'll try to change it as my avtar for a second just to try it... :) ------- I tried it and it DOES work! Here's how you change it (you can't go wrong if you do it this way ): Click on the 'profile' button above and choose the picture you want by browsing. When you get the pic, go back up on the same page where it says 'current password'. Type in your password and click on the 'submit' button on the bottom of that page. Now you should have it! :) /Crest
  13. Jen... I had some leftover energy and thought I'd do some photo mixing... I took your pup as a victim! :D I mean... she's so cute (allthough too hairy for me!)! I made a little avtar... You're welcome to use it if you want. It should be ok in your profile... (it's 2,91kb and 80 x 80 pixles) I hope you like it! :) /Crest

  15.
crested what a wonderful post....i love it. i am definatley going to try out the various sock toys you`ve made. i think Laylah will love them the most as she is a SOCK THIEF!! I`m not joking everytime someone takes their socks off she STEALS them!!  So i will see if giving her her own "sock toy" will stop her stealing ours!! i love eveyone else`s ideas too, i will give them all a try and let you know the results. also will try and invent one myself to post to you :D
Thanks, Jen! :) Oh, geesh! Sock thief? That's NOTHING compared to Ben! Here's some stealing tricks of his: 1. When someone is takeing their socks off, pull them quick from his/her hand and go running around the house with it. 2. When somebody opens the closet, run there and pull a sock out! Then run around the house and don't let ANYBODY get the sock from you! It's YOURS all YOURS!! 3. If somebody's sock isn't properly in their feet, walk slowly and quietly to them when they're not watching and carefully bite in the sock (NOT THE FOOT!!) and pull the sock from the humans foot! Now remember that now the sock is yours and the humans have no buissness running after you! I hope your dogs won't read this.... And Ben has 3... no wait... 4 socks of his own so the stealing hasn't stopped!
I HAVE TIED ABOUT SIX OLD SOCKS TOGETHER --I HAVE PUT A TENNIS BALL INSIDE A SOCK. THEY ENJOYED THEM :)
Oh! I have to try that! Ben loves tennis balls too, so it would be fun to try that too... Oh, wait... I won't... think of what the damage the ball will do to the walls, cealing, porslin, etc we have in the house... :o He'll use it as a slingshot!!! Remember where the sock landed his FIRST Christmas here?? :o
Great ideas Crested ! Rio was a destructive pup so to keep him occupied-and to try to save wear and tear on the soft furnishings-I make him boxes to tear up while i am out! I save all my boxes e.g.ready meals, cereal boxes etc and put a few treats in each one and then tape them up with sellotape if you have a few boxes of different sizes you can put one inside the other with treats in each layer !! You can also wrap them up a pass the parcel type thing with newspaper ! Rio loves it and when i get home there are tiny pieces of card everywhere but my sofa is saved !!!
Thanks Ellie! :) What if the dog swallows a piece of a box and it gets stuck in his throat or something?
My dog will go for hours with a plain garden hose.
Ben couldn't care less of a garden hose! Your dog is just weird! :D /Crest
  16. I thought that when everybody (well atleast me) wants to spoil their furry/hairless friends with new toys, but don't have the $$$ to buy new ones all the time, home made toys might be a great idea. Tell everybody how you have made a toy (successfull entertainment for your dogs or not) and how much your dog liked or disliked the toy. :) Here's a couple of my "creations". Ben loves socks and he loves squeeky toys. First I was too stupid not to add them together, so the first creation was this: Sock toy 1: Take a thick, old woollen sock (thick, if you want it to last longer in your tail-wagging-friend's mouth) and start rolling the sock from the toe part to the ankle part. When you've reached the end open it (the end of the sock I mean) and pull it over the roll. Ben loved this, because he wanted to throw it around and get the sock straight! One Christmas we wonderd why he was looking at the Christmas tree (wich was waving from one side to the other by the way) and we started wondering where the sock was. We took a closer eye on the tree and there, on the top branches of the tree was the sock! :D Then came another version: Sock toy 2: Take a thick, old wollen sock and tie a knot in the middle of it. This was great fun for Ben (and makes a grait pulling and tugging toy)! Then I came up with another version. (well mom did) Squeeky sock 1: Take a thick, woolen sock. Put a squeeky toy in the sock and a knot in the middle. This entertained Ben for ages when he tried to figure out how to get the toy out of the sock. Now he's understood that it's no point in trying and loves to throw the sock around just for fun. (litterally! He often throws it around so hard it hits the ceeling 2 meters up in the air!!!) Squeeky sock 2: This is Ben's favourite of all sock toys! Take TWO thick, woolen socks and put a squeeky toy in the end of one of them (you can allso put it in the end of both of them or put two toys in both by sowing the ancle ends shut). Then put the socks over eachother so they form a cross, sow a few stiches in the middle to keep them in their places and put a dubble knot in the middle. After this you can give it to your pal! Guess how much fun it will be when your pal starts thinking of a way to get the toy(s) out of there!! Here's another toy I made to replace any tree branch or anything like that outside (and why not inside too) because as many of you know throwing a branch can sometimes hurt your dog's mouth. This is totally harmless! Jeans toy Take a little peace of cloth that can stand MUCH punishment (like jeans) and cut out a rectangle peace (I used a 20cm x 15cm for Ben and the result became a 20cm x 5cm toy). Put the cloth in front of you wrong side up. Take the long ends and fold them in, then sow them. Then do it again and this time fold them to the middle of the peace and sow them. Then sick-sack the short ends. Toy is ready to be played with!! This isn't Ben's favourite toy, but I'm sure it will be fun for dogs that love retrieveing! :) Just for small dogs I found that a cup (cork) of a baby's bottle is a GREAT toy for small dogs like Ben. Ben puts the cup in his mouth bites it and the cup shoots from the corner of his lips and he runs after it. But you have to keep a close eye on this toy! If it starts to look like it could brake any minute take it away, because if your dog bites it and it brakes, it could seriously hurt your dogs gums and mouth!! So... What do you think? I'll try and get photos of the toys here if you want? But here's a little showing how Ben loves the "squeeky sock 2"! :D Now tell me your stories!! /Crest

  18. What if we would put a timeline there... Like... Anyone who wants to be in it can join within a week (for example next week), then we could have semifinals (for example 5 dogs at a time) and the winner of each semifinal goes to the second semi final untill we have 10 dogs in the final! Umm... Is this a good idea or a bad one? /Crest
  19.
It's when you walk back and forth in the same spot, usually wearing the floor beneath you out, waiting for something. Daddy's are notorious for this when their children are being born.
A-haa! NOW I get it! No... I haven't started doing that... Umm... yet...
  20. I want to be in it! And Ben wants to be too! Where? WHEN?? :D
  21.
Have you started pacing the floor yet?
...huh?? :o What does that mean? Sorry... My english is not THAT good yet, but I'm working on it... :) (It could be because I'm tired, too...) Mouse: Isn't it? ooooh! I can't wait!!!!!!!!!! And on top of all this puppy feever, I've got an aquarium feever too! :o Yeah... It's nice when you have dubble feevers! 8) I've started scratching the silicons of my old little aquarium tank that I'm going to have as a babyfish tank and a quarenteen... I'm hopeing on getting an aquarium in
  22. K: Exacly!!
  23. Ben hasn't coughed anymore. Could it be of the vometing? I mean you often get a sore throat after you've vomited a lot, right? Could it be that he just had a sore/dry mouth? He got a lot better when I gave him food. /Crest
  24. Hah hah! Thanks you guys! :) I really can't wait! I just pray each day that a perfect little girl will be born for me! And next month I'll be seeing her for the first time (and I promise I'll give you photos of that)! I just can't wait a month!!! It's seems forever!! /Crest
  25. I'm so glad you liked my post! :D For me my dog is special because he's hairless! :D Hah hah! ...and because he loves to sit in mylap while I'm on the computer (wich is grait because I'm a nerd) Nice post by the way! /Crest
