If you're not happy with that, go elsewhere... and dont piss me off, NOT TONIGHT...I just watched a tape of PETA assholes blowing up research labs....and I and my son would be DEAD WITHOUT those labs....

well, HF and everyone.....I watched it. I am now sorry I did. THESE PEOPLE ARE INSANE!!! I agree with their original tenets, that animals should be treated ethically...BUT BLOWING UP A RESEARCH LAB? you all know I am a diabetic. Myself and my son would have died if not for research labs, that discovered Insulin.... Some may say I should not have "bred". knowing this illness is genetic. At the time he was conceived, we didnt know his dad carried the same gene. Since in most cases it is second-generational. and they are coming close to finding a genetic cure (using animal testing) I got pregnant. With the knowledge we had, at the time, it was not going to happen to him...it did. Both he and I will die early, without animal testing to find the eventual cure. WE DIDNT WANT TO BE HERE....in this state... I can only say, morally and ethically wrong, that I hope one of their loved ones is put in this position...where animal testing is the only way to find the cure...and save their life. I cant stop crying....I believe animal testing should be ethical..no pain should ever be suffered by the animal....but it HAS TO BE DONE... i NEED TO SLEEP NOW. I have cried myself out...I have to work tomorrow....Life goes on. Even for us "imperfects"...

unfortunately, I know my age. I'm 30 years and 2 months younger than my son....so I cant forget... I dont know exactly how old my cat or my lab is.....guesstimate is the best I could do.

I dont think we are getting the whole story either. I would bet the child started to run. the chase is on, the dogs knocked him down and his screaming set them off....dogs can sense fear in people. WHY dont people teach their klds these things? NEVER run from a dog. Stand perfectly still if you have to, dont look it in the eye...it's SO easy to teach....oh, and DONT ever go in a strangers yard with a dog outside.... I feel bad for the kid. But the dogs shouldnt have to suffer because of it. They were only defending their territory.... :evil:

sick AND stupid....(fortunately) most dogs would lick one pill and spit it out. Most of them are very bitter tasting... do you have issues with yuor neighbors? Definitely see if the police can get the pills tested.

the hounds hunt in packs. There are 10 with the tracker, and 10 at the farm with the Hunt Master. They wont be killed, unless absolutely neceesary. There is a Cougar rescue society involved, who wants them darted, not shot. There wont be 1 or 2 hounds approaching the cougar, the whole pack will, if they find it. Their training is to corner, tree, and allow the hunter to do the "kill", which in this case will be a tranquilizer dart. Even a cougar wont take on 10 (loudly) baying dogs. That's why they chose Foxhounds,because of the pack training. Foxhounds will trail, surround and make it impossible for the cougar to escape. The odds are good they will tree it, it will be the cougars only escape. They will wait below the tree until the tracker can dart it. They stay together, as a pack, for protection. None of them will venture into the cougars realm with out the others. I only hope they can dart it, and dont have to kill it. It's not the cougars fault people are idiots...

I always thought they rolled in dead things to cover up their own scent, for hunting purposes....prey animals are not going to be afraid of a dead fish, or chicken, or deer... gross, I know... :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

There are two cougars loose in Lake County, about 35 miles North and East of here. They were spotted at a valuable thoroughbred horse farm, and the owners are concerned for the welfare of their horses... They hired a tracker, armed with a dart gun, and he is there with a pack of Foxhounds...from Laurel's Hunt Club!!! 20 dogs, patrolling the property 24/7....protecting the horses and searching for the cougars. They have found a trail, but havent quite caught up with them yet....cougars move fast...and the horse farm wants the dogs there to warn if the cougars return. They've been loose in this area since January. They think they were someones exotic pets, that were either let loose, or escaped. Kinda cool!!

I agree with the others. Dont hold it against the puppy...she loves YOU regardless..I would submit the breeder to both the AKC for Pitt Bulls, AND to the Better Busines Bureau. This was a sale...they didnt live up to their end of the deal. Also, I would go to other Pit Bull sites and tell them to spread the word about this kennel. Info is the best thing to use - the more people that have it, the better. Good luck with your pup.... :angel:

Good Lord, that is absolutely AMAZING.....Most people have trouble teaching their dogs recall on command..... these dogs are jumping from airplanes, and willingly wearing gas masks.... I think the dalmation was probably not a good idea however...the spots are too easy to see....I am glad they are getting a memorial at last. They deserve it, absolutely. I really like the black and white "sailor dog"...looked like a BC mix...very cute.

expired milk carries the threat of food poisoning...which costs MORE to correct (stomach pumping, vet care, inhtravenous feedings, because they cant eat) then THROWING THE OLD MILK OUT!!!

They WILL take the bed out from under you, if you let them. My Foxhound does that. I go to sleep, she's in the corner, I wake up, she has taken over the bed and MY LEGS are hanging over the side... :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

did you ever contact the ASPCA? You may qualify for reduced cost pet assistance for her medicine....

What was the reason she snapped? Did you come up behind her, surprise her? scare her? And was she actually trying to bite? or warn you off? This concerns me.....There is a vast difference in children's understanding between a 7 and 10 year old, and a 3 and 4 year old.....Children that young do not understand the body language that dogs display (a lot of adults dont either) and if she snapped at you, I would have to say, unfortunately, she is not safe around children that young.... She would need extensive socialization with your children, and could NEVER be trusted alone with them. No dog should ever be left alone with a child, but especially a dog that has snapped at someone already. It really all depends on what made her snap the first time....

OMG!!! In that second picture - he looks like he's crossed with a FOX!! Fox have just recently returned to the area, and they look ALOT like that (red fox, at least) I see them near the river all the time...I cant take Laurel down there because of that (She's a Foxhound...trained to hunt fox scent).

I have rescued/fostered a lot of dogs, but NONE like this....Laurel has figured out how to open the screen doors, and let herself out. I have to keep the front one locked now.... She countersurfs, when she know's I wont catch her, like when I'm asleep... She bugs me to get things for Freebee, because Freebee knows better than to annoy me....how can they gang up on you like that? I brought home a 25 lb. bag of dog food...dinner was late...she tore it open at the bottom and helped herself.... aaarrgghhhh.....the worst part is it's so HARD to correct her..she has that "OH, I'M SO SOORRYYY" face....no more falling for THAT, that's for sure.... Freebee looks guilty when she's bad....Laurel looks CRUSHED... YEA, RIGHT... I am being taken advantage of.... :drinking: :drinking:
