1. :o I'm sorry. It's sad when you breed and can't tell males from females. Very very sad. They don't know what they are doing at all.
2. :o This thread is bad for me...just watch
Crystal, you're a big weenie! :banan:
That's the way I like em...
3. I bet I couldn't even find anyone near me that does it. Sheeew that was close. I love my crappy little town. HEHEHE, I'm not looking either and you can't make me. edited: because I am an idiot and put enough instead of even.
4. Don't have it. We only have a little vet clinic anyways, he probably would die laughing if I asked if they accepted it. I've always got the credit cards if something happened. I'd even go out and get a job if that is what it took to pay some unexpected vet bills. My husband and I don't even have insurance for ourselves. The kids do though. I think insurance of all types is a rip off. I mean car insurance is through the roof and if you put all that money in an account every month you would have plenty to cover you if anything happened. 5. *inches slow from the security of the couch* Is it safe??? Ok, I don't see anymore needles. I have a pretty good tolerance for pain, I mean I did do natural child birth twice. Still I would freak out. I'm not a big needle person. It never bothered me until when I was having my son. There was this nurse in training doing my IV. It is hard to get and IV in me anyways, so set up someone who is unexpierenced and watch the drama unfold. Now I kept my composure and handled it like a tough girl, but inside I was screaming. Then on top of that she also got to practice taking it out. AHHHHHH. I bleed like crazy. So NO NEEDLES. I'm scared very scared. I would be one to tense up. That was one big problem with my depo. It took me 3 shot to figure out how not to tense my arm. It was sore either way, but only for 2 days if I didn't tense up. It took a week to recover until I figured that out. Keep your needles to yourself. I've seen people with them placed in there face. I'd die, honestly I would. I know they don't go in far, but still. It seems creepy.
6. :o I really didn't need to see that. I can not imagine going through that. I've always been freaked out by it, to see it with a dog. EEK. *runs behind the couch*
7. WOW, I would never have thought about doggy accupunture. You learn something new everyday.
8. :o accupuncture. UGH that scares me. I can't imagine Toby laying still for that. Doggy pin cushion.
9. Those are really good.
10. Yay, Pooh Bear is a big boy now. Glad your house was still standing. This was funny, "smokes and cokes" Maybe the next icecream flavor.
11. yeah I can see me on the skateboard. ROFLMAO. That would be good. Poor Toby would be more scared after I nearly kill myself on that thing. Me and skateboard are a big no-no. I'll leave that one up to hubby. I guess we will see if he gets over his fear of skateboards. What an odd thing to be scared of. Why not bikes, cars, golf carts? Who knows? Thanks
12. Good Luck, hope you have a house left when you get home
13. Well it is a good thing you found those kittens. You saved the babies!!!
14. Poor Sheep. Hope you can figure something out.
15. I bet your right, it probably was the fence leap or land that twisted her back. Hope she gets better soon.
16.
That color test scared the blank out of me! :o
Me too. Then I got hubby. I think he got some guys at work too.
17. I'm hoping he runs away and comes back to you too. Sounds like he needs help. Andrea saves the animals .com hehehe, you need a website
18. We laughed at the peeing thing. We just don't get it, we've never ever seen this before or even heard of it. We thought dogs growled because they were tough, not because they were scared. Undereducated on that one. Sorry if I offended anyone, but I didn't realize why he does this. I do know what is going on now, poor Toby. Poor Toby peed right by the front door and then I stepped in it, not to mention Timothy was pretty freaked out, which made it funny too. You would have to know Timothy, BRAT. So it wasn't really Toby we were laughing at, it was the pee, but still maybe it wasn't all that funny. I'll have to go tell Toby I'm sorry and I understand now. Maybe we should just get a skateboard and let Toby check it out and see if that helps. Toby sees all kinds of people everyday. The lady across the street is in a wheelchair and he just ignores that and walks on by. The kids ride bikes and even a golf cart up and down the road and we have taken him out to see those too. Maybe it was just the skateboard. I'll get Timothy to let me borrow one and introduce it to Toby. I'll let him check it out when he is ready. Thanks guys, I bet it was the skateboard that scared him, probably the first time he saw one.
19. She has had him for a few years and says she loves him and couldn't part with him. I've never meet a more unruley animal. I'd beat myself over the head if my animal listened like hers, which is not at all. Animal Control here sucks. They are lazy and never ever come when they say they will. They are the worst people I've ever meet, they are not out to help animals, they want a paycheck.
20. My neighbor has a dog named Tanner. He is the funniest looking dog in the world. He is also Toby's play buddy and they have loads of fun together. Well yesterday they were playing and I was talking to his owner. She said he got hit by a truck the night before. Not to shocking. Now for some history. We have lived her for about a year. Well at first Tanner was always on a chain in the carport all day. Then at night he slept in a crate in the house. When I first met the old lady she said he was bigger than she was told he would be. I figured that meant she wasn't all to happy with him. Well a month or two ago she starts letting Tanner go all day. I thought it was odd. Then I see her out in the yard with what I thought was a little black kitten. Turns out it was a puppy her son got her. I can't remember what breed, but it was a small dog. Just what she wanted. Well it stays indoors all the time, only out to potty. So Tanner gets outside loose all day. He chases cars bad. Ok, now so he got hit and the guy said he thought he ran all the way over him. Tanner only has one sore foot, so I guess that is all that got hit. He is ok now though. She doesn't want to tie him back up and will not keep him inside loose because he is to big. He sleeps in a crate inside at night. This dog is so not trained. She calls and calls him, but he runs the other way. Most of the time he is dragging his leash because he pulled away from her. It drives me crazy to see him chase cars. You can yell and yell and he goes all the way to the end of the road. Toby makes this dog look like a fool. Toby always comes when called. She will try to catch Tanner when playtime is over and I will call Toby. I have Toby in less than 10 seconds and it takes her all of 20 minutes or more to get Tanner. I can't help but laugh, as it is her own fault for not training him. Anways I guess I just wanted to vent. I feel bad for the dog because he is going to get run over worse one day. I don't know why dogs like to chase cars nor do I know anything that can stop them. I told her maybe now he would stay out of the road. What else can I do? She refuses to tie him back up now. GRRRRRR  The last thing I want to see is Tanner as Road Kill infront of my house. It would break my daughters heart. She usually helps catch him. I'm a little ticked off her. I will stop ranting now.
21. Ok so here is what happened. Yesterday my 14 year old brother in law, Timothy, was skateboarding past our house. Toby was on the front porch. So Timothy decides to come in the yard, big nono. Toby has only seen him twice, when he was much smaller. So Toby stands right in front of the door and barks. The closer Timothy gets the more upset Toby is. I mean tail straight down, hair standing up, and by now he is growling. I was sitting by the door watching him. Being Toby prefers Brad, hubby, over me I yelled at Brad and told him to go out there before his brother got bitten.Well Brad went out and this only increased the growling. With each step Timothy took the growling got deeper and deeper. He finally just stopped in the yard and talked a minute then left. Before he left Toby managed to wee himself. Brad came in and said "I don't know what is wrong with that dog, he is growling and pissing all over himself." We both had a good laugh. Anywho, Toby doesn't usually do this. He growls at the other dogs, but only when he is on the chain. If he is running and playing with them he is fine. People walk up and down the road all the time and I have never heard him growl at any of them. Now, I will say Timothy can be a little pain 99% of the time. But all he was doing was walking into the yard. Maybe it was the skateboard??? I have no idea. This totally blew me away. So I don't know what to think. He was fine after Timothy left. Maybe he just doesn't like him. They say dogs can sense things about people, maybe? I don't know. I was just wondering if you guys had any idea why he may have decided to growl at Timothy. Timothy said last night, "I don't like your dog." Brad said "good, because he don't like you." He probably won't be coming around alone anymore. It's so odd because my mom and my sister had just been here and Toby just greeted them with a happy tail. He has seen them a few more times though. He like my brother too. Hmm, maybe we should just disown the brother in law. Any thoughts on what was going on in Toby's head?
22. those are good.
23. Shedding is awful. I've seen my inlaws dog shed and I feel horrible for him, GSD and husky mix. They brush and brush and it seems to come out endlessly. The thing about Toby is that his hair isn't extremly short, but not long either. It's a long kinda short, I wouldn't even call it medium. Anyway, It gets in everything and sticks stragith through clothing. It is sharp and pokes the crap out of you if it gets in your clothes. It is almost impossible to get out too. So if I hate his shedding that much I feel very bad for those of you with long haired dogs.
24. OOPS I forgot about this thread. GIGI, I wasn't ignoring your last post, I just got lost. Ok so chin's roaming the house sounds like a big fat no no. I don't have enough energy for that. Sounds like to much work. They are adorable though.
