Wow, I thought I had a hard time with my puppy. That sounds like a big bite and a potentially big problem. I'm with pyrless, find a behaviorist ASAP. This could be a bad situation that could end up even worse. The next bite could be worse. I hope not, but I would be scared to death. As a parent of two small children if I were in your situation the dog would probably have been PTS. It really freaks me out that the kid was napping and the dog bite him. Sounds like a big problem to me. A dog can do alot of damage and biting a sleeping child totally unprovoked is a very bad sign in my eyes. I'm not a professional either, you better find one before it gets worse. I'm sorry for your situation, Good Luck.

Toby refuses to come near the computer during the V E T discussion. He did however ask that I tell you that the vet is the devil. Toby said "That man scares the crap out of me. I hide in the back of my crate, but that evil man grabs me and pulls me out." Oh and he added, "That's ok though, because I sit so still and be so good maybe mommy won't bring me back. Good Luck and be careful with that vet, they are sneaky creatures."

AWW, Pooh Bear is a big boy. Sounds like things are going great. Glad they had fun at petsmart. Just watch, he'll get rid of that stinkin collar and then you may come home to something chewed up. Although Jackie and Maya may keep him busy and out of trouble. :wink: Good Luck.

She defiently must be more pit, but she looks alot like McKenzie, other than the color, so I suppose she could be a mix.

That is how I have always felt, but I know some people give them to there dogs all the time. They think I am crazy and it is to big to choke on. Maybe now, but later on when he is bigger I feel it would lodge perfectly in his throat. So maybe I am not over reacting.

I don't know if I have ever asked this before, but here goes. Toby loves a good tennis ball. Brad plays fetch with him with it. Toby however does not like to give it up. He brings it back and drops it and lets you throw it again. When he thinks play time is over he tries to bury or hide the ball so we can't put it away. I don't care for him playing with it and he loves chewing on it, but round objects scare the crap out of me. I'm always afraid when left alone he might choke on it. Is this possible? Should I continue taking it when he is alone? Or am I crazy and he is perfectly safe?

I prefer the look of the cropped ears too. Probably because I have always seen them that way. I guess if you usually seen them natural cropped would look odd.

Ah, doggy disaster stories. When I was still lived at home we had a boxer. Dad got it for my sister. He did great in the house, but then one day he showed his true colors. We came home to toilet paper everywhere. He ate a lampshade. He also chewed through the lamp wire while it was plugged in. He destroyed several toys and ate the faces off of baby dolls. Crazy dog.

:o I've heard of it in humans, but never dogs. It's sad, but I bet if you get him/her spayed/neutered or whatever you wanna call it, sputered in this case, I bet this dog will live a normal life.
