2. thats so sad. hmmmm if you read it, she stated that the dog ran out the door when she was putting a box on the porch
3.     cant fit your own poor doggies into your schedule? shame on you
4. Congrats!! she's a cutie!! :D she looks like a terrier/beagle mix with some lab probably
5. i would keep him in a bedroom with the doors and windows closed tight. and take him out on leash only, make sure he cant back out of his collar. even if you have a fenced in yard, dogs who would never jump a fence before, might when frightened by such things...alot of dogs end up getting out of their yards and lost on the 4th of July my dogs have never really been bothered by fireworks... maggie hates them but she just finds a place to hide and lays there til the noise stops
6. Maggie's DogAge is 60.9! That's 15.6 years younger than the average DogAge for Maggie's breed.
7. Pro Plan seems to be a chosen food for alot of people who compete...i'm on a dock dogs message board and like 90% of the people on there feed Pro Plan...and they swear by it.. Maggie use to eat Pro Plan a few years ago....she did fine on it if I remember correctly..it has been a few years... kat, i pay $28 for a 35lbs. bag of the chicken soup dog food and $18 for a 44lb bag of diamond lamb and rice. i recently discovered that solid gold is available about 15 minutes away..so if I get a lil extra money and someone to drive me...i might pick up a bag and see how the dogs do...
8. she thought about it for awhile....and i mean Tully is one heck of a Staffy Bull....she's got a lot of titles in conformation and agility.. her hips have been OFA'd... and she picked a stud that would seriously compliment Tully...i mean he's dead...but they still have his sperm..and i guess he was one heck of a Staffy Bull too... it's certainly not something she just jumped into..she went back and forth on the decision but finally decided to breed her...
9. if you want to give rawhides...it's best to give PRESSED rawhide, and ones that are made in America. the cheap ones that are made in other countries are the ones that have cancer causing preservatives. my dogs get pressed rawhides whenever we go to petsmart. nylabones are good if you have a dog that really likes to chew....my dogs werent too impressed with the nylabone ....i'm not even sure where it is now cause they never touched it....
10. your vet shoul be able to determine the approximate age of the pup

12. the dog goes from being a fucking GSD mix to a Pit bull type dog??? ~~~~~ It was the last thing police and the owner wanted. And it ended in the worst possible way. Toronto Police were forced to pull their guns and kill a dog Monday afternoon, after it attacked a 16-year-old boy. The animal, a 12-year-old Terrier-German Shepherd mix named Shade, lunged at the teen when he entered his neighbour’s home near Shuter and Sackville Sts. in the downtown core. The owner frantically tried to subdue the animal, but couldn’t grab it in time. When David Crow tried to leave the house, the dog caught up to him, getting a firm grip on his leg with its powerful jaws. Pay duty cops working on a film set down the street rushed to the scene, and managed to pry the animal off the youth, now writhing in pain. But when it appeared the animal was about to lunge at its target again, cops took the only step they could think of, and opened fire, killing the animal. “It held him and he was screaming and then the cops ran over from the movie set and shot the dog four times through the window,” shudders witness Joseph Bucca. Crow was transported to St. Michael’s Hospital for treatment for wounds to his leg. But this incident isn’t what it seems. Crow walked into the home unannounced, despite knowing the animal was a trained attack dog and was generally kept in the basement. “They know not to walk in my house and he did,” complains Sue Lynne Bennett,” Shade’s owner. “David stood there like an idiot saying "what" before coming in, but he just walked in and all hell broke loose.” The dog had a reputation for being vicious, but up until Monday, had never attacked a human. Crow’s distraught dad thinks the animal reacted on instinct. “He's always showed up no problems,” Bill Crow responds. “This time, the dog must have got a whiff of my dog and went after him. It’s the first time a pit bull-type canine has attacked anyone since Attorney General Michael Bryant passed his controversial legislation banning the breed earlier this year. Critics contend it proves how flawed the law is – under the rules, the dog would not have had to be muzzled, because the animal was in its own home. “We warned somebody earlier today not to put their hands in our gate because he went to go pet him and we're like ‘don't do that,’” observes Bennett. “You don't know the dog. The dog will attack. And it's just unfortunate that letting a dog in and somebody walking in at the same time, the dog just lunged at our friend.” The 16-year-old, now bearing a huge gash in his leg sewn up with stitches, admits the incident was his fault, and he should have known better. It’s small comfort for the owner, who watched the family’s protector lose its life in front of her eyes.
13. a couple of groups that I am on have a card exchange..it's a lot of fun...it can be a lil expensive with stamps..but i think it's worth it...

15. Welcome back! i believe most people deserve a second chance...
16. some people are just a lil too overprotective of their dogs, imo. I think it's perfectly fine to let your dog play outside by itself, i dont think a dog needs to be supervised 24/7.
17. No i dont think it's wrong as long as you are willing to pay for it
18. no her head is exactly like a bassets should be. the pics suck and dont do her justics at all. she looks just like their other basset in body and everything, just different color and coat :D
19. OMG I am terrible  I didnt even realize it was his birthday today! I'll have to make it up to him big time tomorrow He is 2 years old!! Happy birthday my baby boy!!!! :iloveyou: :bday: :BIG: :B-fly:
20. i shall try to take better pics of the pooch lol. if the people see me they will think I am some sort of freaking riding by snapping pics   I know she isnt a puppy because they've had her for a few years. they have her, a smooth coated basset and a coon hound..they hunt with all of em :D I know the standard, but it says a distinctly long coat is a DQ..wich pretty muchs mean they exist but are not allowed to be shown :D
21. The Basset Hound is of French origin, and is a low-set heavily built dog with long pendulous ears, and hound's head, "crooked" forelegs, and long body. They have excellent tongues, extraordinary scenting powers, and will readily hunt deer, roebuck, wild boars, wolves, foxes, hares, rabbits, either singly or in packs. Colour black, white and hound tan. There are both smooth-coated and rough-coated Basset Hounds, the only difference being the coat. Weight 40 to 50 lbs. Height 12 to 14 ins. at shoulder. 22. that's because the pictures SUCK. if you see her in person you can clearly see her tail has long flowing hair and her body is furrier than a smooth coated basset and her chest is very "feathered"
23. ok so the dog was outside when I rode by...and i tried to get a pic but failed miserbley  sorry....this is the best i could do with my crappy 3 X zoom and being on the road and traveling on a bike  because she is running the pic is a lil blurred so it doesnt show her long hair on her tail.. but she is a very pretty dog....
