Congratulations!! how I wish one of my dogs would pass :( i mean i've never had them tested cause i dont know how to find a place that it's done...but none of them really have the OB to pass.....as soon as I get a job i'm going to enroll either Sheeba or Shadow into an OB class and then find a place to test them for CGC and TDI :) Sheeba did make a visit to a nursing home awhile back and she did well but she was a lil more interested in all the new smells than she was the people but maybe after her 2nd visit she would have loved on the people :-? either way she DID make alot of the elderly people happy :D sorry for rambling :oops:

criminals in prison get internet access now adays? :lol: must be a fancy prison :lol: :lol: :lol: of course she likes that aussie board cause they clearly dont know everything about what she has done. i gurantee you they dont know she is planning on leaving cody who is deaf and vision impaired and zoey outside in 100 + weather. someone on another board was getting a pyr pup from a breeder down in New Mexico, the dogs and puppies were outside but hey they had fresh water and ponds and plenty of shade but guess what the pups and one adult still died. all the shade and water in the world will NOT save a dog from heat stroke in 100+ weather. :cry:

IMO if you dont have the time to do the correct things with your dogs then you shouldnt be breeding. it's all or nothing. I understand everyone has a life, i certainly dont think that breeders have all the time in the world, but if you dont have the time to do everything it takes to make sure your dogs are the best of the best then maybe one shouldnt be breeding. and i certainly dont expect everyone to get a dog from a shelter/rescue, we do need responsible breeders, rescue dogs arent for everyone...but responsible breeders are few and far between.

so this guy bred these boxer to have bob tails because of the risk and the look.... so why not have gone the opposite direction and just bred them to have thicker tails??? oh wait wait.... it wouldnt look right :roll: there's a boxer a couple blocks from here, he has his tail and he certainly looks like a boxer. there's also a rotti here in town and he certainly looks like a rotti

I feel ya! I think a dog should have it's CGC and be TT(temperment tested). not all dogs can pass a CGC and TT. All health screening should be done, i also think only dogs with OFA scores of Good or Excellent should be bred. I've expressed my feelings about showing before, for some of the small companion dogs, sure cause they werent really bred for anything else, but with other breeds, i think the dogs should be titled in things like weight pull, agility, flyball, field tests, shutzund, etc. etc. there's plenty of dog sports out there to choose from. I also dont think a female should be bred after 6 years old, but maybe thats just me.

I use one with Eli...works well with him.. It doesnt hurt, i tried it on myself.

speaking of the whole cropping for safety thing..ESS did ya ever notice how it's the SHOW breeders who crop but the majority of FIELD breeders do NOT crop :-? isnt that funny? they say cropping is for the safety..yet the dogs who work all day still have their tails but the dogs who just get pranced around the ring are docked? i've spent a good deal of time checking out ESS breeders...there are a couple of field breeders that dock some of their dogs..but most of the ones i found do not dock their dogs tails....yet every single show breeder docks because "its' the standard" :roll: and honestly how many boxers do you know that work??? tail injuries can happen in any breed, maybe we should dock all of them? :roll:

I use garlic :-? i just sprinkle some garlic powder on their food and we havent seen any fleas since.. or you can use fresh garlic, 1 clove a day. it will NOT harm your dogs. for a small dog you would use 1/2 a clove
