all of those stupid pop stars get their dogs out of puppy stores, they think it's just so great and their dogs are just so cute  the only person i saw actually trying to adopt a dog was Nick, ya know the guy out of 98 degrees and married to jessica simpson. he wanted a husky but jessica didn't want all the hair  a rescue lady brought out 2 husky puppies from the rescue.. then jessica went to a breeder of maltese( i think it was maltese) and you could so tell this guy was a BYB, he was selling the dogs for like $2000 :o

Who would put this on their dog?
AllAmericanPUP replied to True_Pits's topic in Everything about dogs
it's the fact that the chain probably weighs 5 or more pounds. it doesn't matter if it's design or what the heck ever, a chain is a chain and it WILL HURT YOUR DOG. but you obviously dont care -

AllAmericanPUP replied to True_Pits's topic in Everything about dogs
let me put a chain around your neck and see how you like and see if it doesn't damage your neck  it's not the fact that the collar is leather and wide, it's the fact that their is a heavy chain on the thing. yes it would damage your neck, and yes it would make your dog look vicous/tough to people -
I just want to add, you must have some real problems if you have nothing better to do than stick your nose into other peoples buisiness when they are harmlessly going about their own life. I pity you. You needent bother replying either, I'm leaving this forum now. I used to enjoy it here, but certain people have made it a place where I'd prefer not be a part of, I'll go about my life happily ever after, without self rightious snobs trying to stick their nose in where it isn't wanted to make themselves feel better about their sorry life. Goodbye.
yea..i'm the one with problems..uh huh..sure. -

so basically what you're saying is that our opinions are ignorant and what not because they dont agree with yours. but your fellow boxer owner/breeders/showers what the heck ever have the same opinion as you so their opinions are great. gotcha  -
I emailed them about it. Any other tips ya have about checking out a grooming school? I really don't know what to look for. It doesn't look like there are very many grooming schools in IL :(

breeders on here(reputable ones that is) aren't questioned because they don't say a dang thing about how they would like to make money. It's simple. YOU DONT MAKE MONEY BREEDING. I don't care if you put a couple million into showing a dog or whatever, making money should NOT be something on your mind when breeding. -

I have a friend who shows american pit bull terriers. She has some very very nice representations of the breed(K knows who i'm talkin about) she shows them, some of them are champions, and she does weight pull with them. she has tons of ribbons and trophies for her dogs. she spends tons of money in conditioning them and taking them to the shows. does she breed em? NOPE. Why? Because she refuses to breed when there are so many dying in shelters/rescues every day, week, month and year. Showing is NOT JUST for choosing breeding stock, LOTS of people just do it just for fun. -

Are Innova & California Naturals really the best dog foo
AllAmericanPUP replied to imported_Cassie's topic in Nutrition
It all depends on the dog. You have to feed what your dog like and does good on. I don't think there are any food sare are "the best" cause not all foods agree with every dog. some may have better ingredients, but again, it doesn't matter if it doesn't agree with the dog. It is actually good to rotate your dogs food, gives them more variety and they get more nutrients and vitamins and such...... sales people usually dont know a dang thing, they are just there to sell a product and they will tell you anything if it gets yout to buy it -

What breed is Diego?? You may think you make money when you collect that stud money, but in all reality it all just evens out the money you have put into taking him to shows, and health testing, etc. if your stud fee is more than the cost of showing and health testing, then you must be charging one hell of a stud fee  -
Thanks for the input :D Here are the dogs that number 3 will be mating http://www.geocities.com/chrislj15/Puppies.html I think I'm definitely going to look into that one, I REALLY like the parents to be, ESPECIALLY dad, he is so gorgeous! :o PLUS - That will mean I can get him docked!!! Apparently it doesn't cost that much for importing from NZ, a girl at training was telling me today that her Danes breeder was importing from NZ and it was only $1000 for the importing, plus $500 aus for a good dog, so I'm thinking that a Boxer would be less? Plus if he turns out as gorgeous as his dad he is sure to make the money back in stud fees!!!! I'll have to talk to Josh about it, but I'm sure that if I give him "the look" he'll agree to it!
:o if you are thinking about breeding him and making money is something on your mind, you really should NOT breed. Money making is NOT something that should be on someone's mind, even if you are just studding him out. What do you mean by docked? His tail or his ears? or both? -
Ozzy has gone to stay with..
AllAmericanPUP replied to AllAmericanPUP's topic in Everything about dogs
Barkley and Keesha are inside for now, and i'm gonna see if I can keep it that way.. and maggie of course is inside and always will be til the day she dies. Eli gets to come in and sleep with me in my room at night too.. Ozzy knows my sister, she was his "original owner" long story.. so it's not upsetting for him -
Great dane mix..who knows what else. he's got the face of a dane

My sister.. I made the decision to let him go live with her, because my dad came home(he works out of state) and he has decided to probably stay home for a few months... He doesn't let the dogs in the house, cause he doesn't believe they should be inside.. My sister just moved into her own place a few months ago.. It's 2 apartments, and owned by her friend's aunt.. melissa lives in the bigger apartment, it has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a big living room, and a kitchen... They also have 2 yards, both fenced in, one is pretty big, the other is smaller. and her friends have a dog named Harley. my sister mainly takes care of him though cause they are lazy. Ozzy is still MY dog, and will be going with me when I move out, but for now he will stay with my sister where he can be inside. she would take Eli too, but they have cats and he would kill them and he would kill Harley. I made it very clear that Ozzy is only to eat the food we provide, he is to get no table scraps, and they are NEVER to blow smoke in his face nor smoke around him. and she made it very clear to her friends too. She gave him a bath last night and brushed him and what not, and she'll be brushing his teeth as soon as I get a new brush..i've trained her well LOL. He gets along well with Harley and they play alot lol. Eli isn't very happy with it, he seemed to be looking for Ozzy last night..poor guy. He kept getting up and pacing around and this morning he woke me up at 7 AM, and he has NEVER done that before, i always had to pry his fat butt out of bed.. No matter what, i will be bringing Eli inside to sleep in my room everynight. and Barkley will be inside all the time except to go potty and stuff.. and I of course can go over there anytime I want and play with Ozzy and bring him over here for play time, or take him to the park, or whatever I want to do. Will probably bring him over here a couple nights too so he can sleep with me and eli. he of course sleeps with my sister and her boyfriend in their bed so anywayz, thought i would share it with you guyz..
But, the point Im trying to make is that the dog is obviously a genetic freak and should be pitied
While I think the dog is ugly, i don't think ya need to come down that hard on the poor thing! Basically what you're saying is that ALL mutts should be pittied, and that's just wrong! This dog was a rescue, nobody knows if it was an intentional breeding or just some ignoramous that didn't get his 2 dogs fixed and then dumped the pups at the pound! It's not the poor dogs fault!!

Remember that someone stole my pics and put em on dogster, as if Eli was their own dog "angus".. well they removed it! YAY!!!!!!!! Hi Tracy, Woof woof woof! Now that is what I call evidence. Now that we know that the fake page for 'Angus' was removed. I'm sorry we can't move faster but we've been burned by trusting people only to find out that they were lying. It really is a crazy internet out there no matter how simple and safe we try and make Dogster and Catster. I was pretty sure that was Ozzy next to Elijah but wanted to hear you say it too ;> Thanks for taking the time to help us out. Thanks so much for loving the site. We love ya right back. And thanks for being such a great dog lover! I've got a special treat for Elijah to make up for it. Much woof and bark, Ted Rheingold

PIT BULL ATTACKS CHILD! READ THIS!!
AllAmericanPUP replied to AllAmericanPUP's topic in Amstaffs & Pit Bulls
Are dogs that territoral of their pups?
Yea, they are. My friend's poodle had puppies and I tried to sneak a peak over the whelping box and she definately knew she didn't want me around. Dogs usually only let their owners(adults) near the puppies. -
I feel so bad for the child :( They finally put the blame on the person instead of the dog!!!! Caretaker arrested after pit bull attacks toddler Email to a Friend Printer Friendly Version Jeff Thomas was arrested Wednesday evening after his girlfriend's daughter Bre'el Thomas was mauled by a pit bulldog. Authorities say that he was supposed to be watching the toddler, but he was asleep inside his home. (Photo: WKRN) The pit bull who attacked Bre'el Thomas recently had puppies and may have been trying to protect them. (Photo: WKRN) Investigators call it the worst pit bull attack in recent memory: an 18-month-old Cannon County girl left to fend for herself while her caretaker slept inside. Now the child is in critical but stable condition in a Nashville hospital while her mother's boyfriend faces charges. Her youthful resilience might spare her, but it was childlike curiosity that led 18-month-old Bre'el Thomas down a path and into the jaws of a vicious pit bull. Sheree Gregg found the little girl after the savage mauling. "And I just totally panicked. I started screaming, 'Call 911! Call an ambulance!'" said Gregg. Cannon County Det. Charlie Wilder said, "The child was alert and looking around. The child was not screaming at that point. My witnesses say that she was in shock." Investigators arrested Bre'el's mother's boyfriend, who was supposed to be watching the child. Jeff Thomas now faces charges. Sheriff's deputies say Thomas was drunk and passed out in this trailer when little Bre'el toddled away. For loved ones, disbelief has turned to anger. Gregg said, "We don't know if he was on drugs, if he was drinking or what. But if we'd known this, we'd never left the baby with him." Family member Melba Finley said, "I am angry. To me, that's my grandchild!" The dog that attacked little Bre'el is one of a trio of pit bulls chained in a neighboring yard. No one blames the animal, who might have been protecting her three-week-old puppies. No one blames the child. Everyone blames the grownup who should've known better, and one even blames the mother. "If she thinks, if he was drinking or something, she should have took her child," she said. This, of course, isn't the only dog mauling involving a child. You may remember a case 10 years ago involving little Tyler Throneberry of Tullahoma. He was just 2 years old when a pack of dogs tore off Tyler's left arm and mutilated his face. Doctors told his parents he'd never live a normal life, but now Tyler does. When News 2 last saw him in 2001, the 9-year-old was overcoming the odds, and was even playing Little League Baseball. He will, however, have permanent scars the rest of his life.
