1. I agree. It sounds great! Be sure to let the girls meet the boy first though, just to make sure everything is sunshine and lollipops between them all. ;)
2. It really does stink that they are moving, Nay. I'm sorry to hear that they have to ship out...I would be mad if I lived there and saw that happening. Does she not have any say at all in how long she needs? Not only is that ridiculous, but it's insensitive. The wound is still fresh and they're booting her out of the community...
3. I'm glad that your mom actually agreed to letting you have a pooch. I hope you gave her an extra hug and an extra kiss for reconsidering. ;)
4. Lately when K goes out for a pee, she will bark her head off. This has been happening for about a month...she goes out for 5 minutes and in that miniscule amount of time she will howl her head off. I'm beginning to worry that the neighbours will think she has been out for hours, while in reality it hasn't even been close to 15 minutes. What do I do? I really am at wit's end...I'm losing patience quick...help! :-?
5. Kyra "Stinky"
6. Today when I was out walking Kyra, a man called her "a stupid bitch". Before I get even more hot-headed...I'm going to explain the situation calm and rationally. We were walking the same route we do everyday -- sometimes twice a day -- when a man and his dog came striding towards us. His dog became very aggressive, barking and growling at K. We totally avoided them until the man called to us. He referred to me as, "Hey lady," which was my first clue that I wasn't going to like this guy... When I turned he started muttering about how I thought my dog was "too good" for his. Eeeesh... I went on to tell him I didn't think that at all. I figured he didn't want our two to meet so I just went on my way. I apologized and asked if his pooch was dog-friendly. He snapped, "of course he is. What else is he going to be? He is a damn dog." Talk about short circuit. I still kept my distance though...his dog was still growling and it's head was lowered. I told him that K wasn't up for a romp today and that I'd best be getting home so that my fianc
7. What a dog! Lazy is such a little cutie -- she's got a great name and a hilarious expression on her face in these pictures. Too funny.
8. Dahlila is so pretty. Happy belated birthday to her! :bday:
9. Happy birthday dear Kyra, happy birthday to you. Jeez, it seems like only yesterday that I brought a little ball of black fur home to love. Now my baby, Kyra is eight years old! How time flies... :o
10. What an adorable picture - your skin and furbabies. :) Cute stuff! Happy belated holidays right back at you all.
11. I'm very sorry to hear about Ilsa's grandpa and grandma. They will both be in my thoughts and prayers. What a looker that grandma is, doesn't look a day over two years old. 8) And those puppies...don't even get me started on them. Kevin is mad at you now! I have been calling him over every five minutes to show him a new thing I noticed in each of those photos. You've made an enemy. :P I want a puppy so bad - those tan Dobies are such lookers! How purdy they all truly are. :)
12. LMBO! Oh my Dog, was that ever funny! I like the little arrows pointing to wear Rex is. Too cute...
13. Tammy, I'm very sorry to hear that all of this has been happening to you. I know we have had our differences, but I'd like you to know that I'm here for you. *hugs* My condolences to you - may Little Girl rest in peace. I also hope that things with your husband work out for the better. Prayers and good thoughts coming your way. :)
14. They're both real beauties. I would love to have those two oogling me!
15. What fabulous news! I'm so excited for you!! So I could imagine how ecstatic you are. Isn't it funny how relationships all revolve around compromise? Lucky for you, huh? ;)
16. Awww. I'm sorry to hear that things didn't go so well, JM. Like everyone else, I think you would be a great adopter and I'm baffled why this happened. Don't let them discourage you!!
17. Oh my Dog! That sweet big guy is so skinny. :o I feel so sad for him that he had to put up with that for so long, but I'm overjoyed that he found some one like you who will ensure he has a better life from now on. :) That dog has the cutest puppy face I have ever seen. What a doll.
18. Well, Autumn is here and where we are, that means that it is going to be rainy, muddy, and stinky here. Today it must have poured for 2+ hours and Kyra went out for a potty break during that time. When she came in, I was about to tell her to "stay", but she had already bolted through the door and was leaving cute little pawprints all over our rug. Last year we tried training her to sit and stay when she would come in and out of the house. It seems that since I was an idiot and did not keep on reinforcing the command, K has totally forgotten about that. We have tried teaching her again and we are failing miserably. :( Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get her doing so again? I miss my clean rugs! Also, what do you do with your dogs when it is raining? Do you still walk them or do you find a fun indoor activity to do? If so, what activity do you play and how do you play it? Thanks!
19. I'm so happy to hear that the pace has quickened! I bet, to you, that felt like years. Hopefully the process will speed up and you will get your third dog. Good luck!
20. Lucky is very cute. I just want to kiss that sweet little nose! :)
21. How wonderful! I'm so happy to hear that he is home safe and sound. The man who picked him up sounds like his guardian angel. :) What a happy ending!!
22. Baileysmom, you are truly an amazing person for trying to help out so many dogs. I just have to say that even though this person is your friend, you are going to have to be firm with her. Let's not forget that she in the one giving up the dog and that does not really entitle her to such privledges as knowing the new owner. If the dog is such a hassle to her, she should be simply happy that he/she is in a home where he/she is cared for in the way that she could not provide. She is must definitely being selfish. She can't have her cake and eat it too. It's just not fair to the dog. It's like giving the dog to the worst imaginable owner just because she is friends with the person. Is that not pointless? I would much rather see a dog in an exceptional home with a stranger, then in a crappy home with a friend... Tell your friend that the dog's needs are to be met before hers. If she really wanted to see him/her THAT badly, I'm sure the new owners (even if they were strangers) wouldn't mind arranging a date where they play and frollick together. Good luck! :)
23. The adoption process taking so long must be a real downer on you. I'm sorry to hear that they can't seem to get their act together. Or just that one woman I guess is the source of the problem. Like Divine said, I'm sure after it gets going...it'll go very quickly. Good luck on your home visit when it finally comes! ;)
24. Kyra's going to be a cowgirl. She is going to wear one of Kevin's plaid shirts, an old cowboy hat from when I was a cowgirl and she has a nice bandana to go along with her ensemble. I'm thinking she's going to look pretty darn cute. :)
25. Sounds to me like the pace is starting to pick up. Thank Dog, eh? I bet it feels like years to you. I wish you the best of luck with the rest of your adoption journey. :)
