1. I have a seat belt for all 3 of the dogs that is a harness that clicks right into the seat belt thingy thats the human seat belt fits into.
2. Sorry I meant to have a question mark there. And no that wasn't meant to be an insult.
3.
This seems like an attempt to reinforce one of the darker sides of Christianity, in my opinion ... that which says humans are to have dominion over animals and that animals have no soul and can not go to heaven.
No I think this is a case of people who are too into psychobabble and should just tell people to get over it. Christianity hasn't a thing to do with it. Beside we do have dominion over animals they certainly don't control us. You don't have control over your dog.
4. Just one of the joys of dog ownership.
5. Why do they do that?!! It has to be bitter to eat those pills. Dogs!!! I am so glad she is alright. :D
6. We had a lab mix Scooby that was euthanized when our dog Brandy was 5 and she wasn't overly depressed but when we were on walks and she would see a black dog she would get excited and would try to go to him/her. When Brandy was 12 we got Toto she loved Toto and would try to play with him but had really bad knees to fix torn cruciate ligament on both knees. She ended up only living 6 months after he came she died liver failure from I believe the Rymadyl we were giving her for the pain after the surgeries. Anyway Toto couldn't of cared less. I think all the feelings were on Brandy's side. Toto didn't even look for her. He is awfully self centered anyway.
7. They can be stinkers. One of my dogs the cairn terrier is a perfect gentlemen at all times. I can leave my food right in front of his face and say "mine" before I leave he doesn't touch it. I let him sit at the table sometimes because he wouldn't ever touch a thing. But the other two forget it. My so called Sheltie who weighs almost 40lbs now and is tall enough to get to table level has stolen so many things. Were on guard for a long time then we get forgetful just once and something is gone. Tonight it was a piece of Angel food cake on the counter. Mandy our border terrier mix is too short, thank God, to steal much but she tries.
8. I don't suppose you have any pictures of her wearing pantyhose on her head.
9. Well Geez what kind of a zoo would a pack of wild dogs be able to get into? That is weird.
10. What a well behaved wholesome girl!! You just don't see that much this days.
11. At the grooming shop my sister worked at she always brushed the dogs out to get rid of any matts before the bath and at that time she would clip the nails, clean the ears, etc. Then after bathing they were dried and then clipped. But if the dog was too matted they always called the owner to get approval. It was a shop that specialized in "difficult" dogs so you wouldn't believe some of the matted up dogs that came in. Some were abusive in my opinion but it doesn't do any good to call anyone because just by bringing them there they were making an effort so there was nothing they could do about it. I used to work with her sometimes and was appalled by the condition of some of the dogs.
12. There is just one problem with your solution K I am not so sure I want him "humanely" put to sleep. :x
13. That makes me angry too. Everyone with an ounce of sense knows that a hurt dog may bite when they are in pain. We had a dog when I was kid that bit my cousin across the face and he needed stitches. He wasn't put to sleep because when questioned my cousin who was only 3 at time pointed to where he pulled on the dog. Lets just say it was a highly sensitive area. This was before people were really educated to neuter their dogs.
14. Oh God just the thought of that poor puppy being kicked across the street. That is just horrible.
15. Thanks for the info on the dogs shows Kiwi. I agree those little ears do looks silly on that dog. I love the big floppy ears.
16.
No thanks needed.
No your wrong K is the administrator and she says that pictures are needed as thanks. Are you going to go against the adminstrator?
17.
Watched it...poodle won....big surprise...not..... Dog shows make me sick these days, no offense to people who show, just that the dogs are ruined by show breeders  or maybe that is just AKC, i dunno, cause those are the only ones i have saw. Except pit bull dog shows, god i love those I feel so sorry for neo mastiffs now that they have been recognized by the AKC.
I don't really follow dog shows I hate that they judge on looks rather then ability so forgive my ignorance but do they have shows for individual breeds. The only ones I have ever seen are the ones on Animal planet and that is all breeds. I do watch them because I love to see all the different breeds but I don't really take notice of who wins. To me the one that wins never looks any different to me then the others.
18. It always breaks my heart and makes me cry whenever I hear that through it all they are still wagging their little tails. What wonderful beings they are? I know I am preaching to the choir.
19.
You should have seen my poor husband's face the first time he saw this thing laying on the floor with a dog firmly attached to it. It was kind of like he wanted to ask what it was and where it came from, but he wasn't sure he wanted to know. I think he thought I had a secret life. :o If I'd been thinking fast, I'd have picked it up all in a tizzy and muttered something about "d*mn dogs..." while tucking into a drawer. I don't think he would have even had the nerve to ask. :P
OMG your killing me!!!
20. I like the idea of leaving him home and having the neighbor pop in that way the neighbor doesn't have to worry about him all day long. I totally understand what your saying about him being not as laid back I have the same situation with Toto my cairn he loves people so much he never leaves them alone so unless you love every dog Toto might be a bit intense to deal with. That doesn't make him a bad dog that needs work he's just very active.
21. I did that with Shadow our sheltie when he was younger and your right he didn't stop biting us but he did stop biting his own tail.
22. that is hilarious and so true. My problem is that my camera takes a moment to get the picture. Well with a puppy you don't always have a moment to get that picture.
23. Well anyway saying this seems off topic right now even though it was the original topic but that puppy in the middle with the sweater is the cutest puppy I have ever seen. K do you have pictures of your bulldogs anywhere on here I would love to see a picture?
24. Here's your emoticon for the future.
25.
We used to love the bald eagles flying overhead at our lake home. But if my brother had his Cocker Spaniel there when the eagles were out, we made sure we kept a real close eye on him. You could tell that a few of the eagles were checking him out as a possible meal.
I don't know much about bald eagles can they really pick up a cocker spaniel? I was sitting here thinking my dogs are safe because I don't have one under 20lbs.
