1. That is pretty. I was looking at the site at all the Patron saint prints. They are so cute. As far as my dogs go it says the Cairn is the patron saint of play and the Sheltie is the patron saint of ankle nippers. Both are very true. Toto loves to play and of course Shadow loves to herd us around. This one is adorable though. I just love Rotties. One day I am going to have one. It's so true to they love a good belly rub but then what dog doesn't.
2. My God the poor dog I think it might have been kinder to have him euthanized if no one was going to train him then to just leave him out there with no interaction.
3. Okay to break up this difference of opinion I think all 3 of them look like each other but the petfinder dog does have the little white going up between the eyes so in that way he looks a tiny bit more like Cinco. But I have to add I think the way Barkleys nose is all white with little black spots and the rest is black is so cute!!
4. OMG that middle picture makes me wonder how on earth you managed to adopt him. If I were in the rescue I would of kept him and he never would have been up for adoption. But then I can be selfish.
5. Sorry but when I think of the entire scene in my head I can't help but laugh.
6. My God that poor woman.
7. I actually bought a box of 150 greenies from Pet edge for about $60.
8. OMG what a sicko!
9. She is beautiful!! She looks great against the color in the room.
10.
I completely understand where youre coming from, Cairn, but Im not judging the dogs, Im judging the people... theres a difference. I said I love Goldens, I just hate how people think of them as "perfect." I know that all breeds can be great dogs and that all breeds can be little devils. Its all in the owner and breeder. I just have a problem with people not thinking thats the way it is, because, well, it is. Yes I KNOW that a pit bull can do more damage than a Chi can and I KNOW that some breeds are more likely to bite than others but thats not my point.... my point is that its never the dogs fault, its the people's and I put all the blame and yes even prejudice on the people. It was wrong of me to judge the teacher but I cant help what pops into my head when I think "Golden" just like a person whos been attacked or witnesses an attack by a pit bull probably cant help but think of their powerful jaws coming towards them and clamping down. Even if you dont blame the dogs, you cant help what comes into your head about them.
Okay I understand where your coming from now. I have never owned a Golden retriever myself so to tell the the truth I am not sure what they are like at home having only known the ones I see at parks and the grooming shop and yes they are a bit hyper but I have found them to be really beautiful wonderful dogs. I am just very fond of dogs, period. I don't care what breed I just love them all.
11.

What I don't get it why him saying he has a golden retriever would make you go OY!! Golden retrievers are wonderful dogs why wouldn't he want to own one.
 Because sometimes, people get a certain kind of breed, like Retrievers, because they've been told that they are the "perfect dog." And sometimes those people just get that kind of dog because they think they're perfect, and so they don't actually do research on what kind of dog is best for them. And that means they don't do research on dog breeds in general, so it wouldn't be all that unlikely that a person who just went out and got a retriever might harbor some unfair biases against certain other breeds of dogs that they've never taken the time to actually learn about. That is my initial reaction when someone says they have a Lab or Golden. Maybe that's wrong of me, but it's not entirely unfounded. There are plenty of people like that, just as there are plenty owners of "dangerous" breeds who get them for the wrong reasons. It's not fair to judge either group, but it happens. I'm perfectly happy to be proven wrong when I meet a retriever owner who does know about other breeds and who doesn't think their breed is perfect. That's great. But while some people may cross to the other side of the street when they see a Pit, Rott, Dobe, or even GSD walking toward them, I inwardly groan when I initially come across retriever owners. I can't help it. I actually like Labs and Goldens; I've never met one I didn't like, including my own lab, but they're not really what I want in a dog at all (which is not why I have issues with them, but I don't want anyone to think I have anything against retrievers themselves). I even liked my cousin's chocolate lab, who was friendly sometimes. Of course, he almost bit my mother twice, once coming a matter of inches from her nose, and he eventually had to be PTS because he'd bitten so many people. But generally, he tended to be a nice dog.
You mean kind of like when some people hear someone has a pit bull and assume they only want the dog because it looks tough and could tear someone apart. And that perhaps they are even fighting them. I'm sorry but the generalizations of some people on here that are so adament about the way pit bulls are protrayed negatively spend a lot of time talking about how horrible other breeds are. The automatic prejudice is no different then all the people that are called idiots because they don't understand how great the Pit bulls are. It seems to me if you want people to accept all dogs you should try keeping an open mind and stop assuming that other breeds are just like the ones you have come in contact with. It's as if the hatred some people have for Pit bulls has sent some of you so far the other way that Pit bulls can do no wrong and all other breeds are subject to looking at through a microscope to see all their flaws.
12.

What I don't get it why him saying he has a golden retriever would make you go OY!! Golden retrievers are wonderful dogs why wouldn't he want to own one.
not all people like them. just like not all people like APBT or labs or rots, and all other breeds. some breeds don't fit certain people's personalities. like a person who was very active wouldn't want a laid back dog, and a lazy person wouldn't want a dog like a border collie. I always said i would NEVER own a golden. I just didn't like all their hair and their personality, etc. Then I got ozzy(he's a mix yes but he's so close to being pure it's not funny) and he is exactly what I have always wanted in a dog. he's smart, gorgeous, fetches, swims, loving, and can be trusted off leash. see now if Ozzy wouldn't have been dumped into my lap, i would probably still not like goldens, but now i like them and would like to have another golden or golden mix in my life.
I know that all people don't like them. My point is he does and there is nothing wrong with that. Goldens are wonderful dogs. All dogs are great. Why would anyone question someones love of any breed?
13. Those are cute. Sometimes like look really freaky but those aren't bad.
14. He's cute I just love those ears!!
15. What I don't get it why him saying he has a golden retriever would make you go OY!! Golden retrievers are wonderful dogs why wouldn't he want to own one.
16.
and theres another commercial (about a car) with a little dog being chased by a rottweiler down alleys and city streets, and his owner is following him in the car taking sharp turns and screaming down alleys. He finallymanages to cut the dog off and open the passenger window, and the dog jumps in The guy looks at him and says "I TOLD you she had a boyfriend...." the expression on the dogs face was hilarious....
I love that commercial!!
17.
Yours TOTO is a total DOLL by the way. I should have known the breed, we had one who was a regular at the shop adorable little buggers!
Thanks yours is beautiful. Assuming of course the picture in your avatar is your dog?
18. I end up on the second page a lot.
19.
nope, toto is a cairn terrier

I think Toto is a terrier, cant remember exactly but I think he/she (movies always get me on that sex thing) either a Border Terrier, or an Australian Terrier. I could be WAAAAY off though. My favs ever are Chance from Homeward Bound and Hooch from Turner and Hooch. I fell in love with both those wet mouth goofballs. lol
No one ever reads my posts. I have a whole thing on Toto being a cairn terrier a couple of posts up.
20. No Toto is a cairn terrier. And since I happen to have a cairn terrier named Toto he happens to be my favorite at the moment. I have gotten a lot of comments on his name including when he was a pup and I was looking for a trainer the lady said "No you didn't name him that, Change it right now" I didn't use her. My niece was 6 at the time and had just watched the wizard of Oz for the first time. I had never heard of a cairn terrier when I found mine and certainly didn't know the dog in the movie was a cairn. But Sam was so excited and I couldn't let her down. I still sometimes get embarrassed when mentioning his name. When he's hair is grown out he looks just like him too. I also found that very little people know what a cairn terrier is or what they look like. I am often asked if he is a scottie or a snauzer. When I tell them he is a cairn they don't know what that is. Apparently they are not too popular here in the US. People prefer the Westie instead. I guess because there are white. For some crazy reason a lot of people don't care for black dogs. They have always been my favorite. I'm rambling.
21. Thanks that is interesting. I think I am going to talk to the vet when I take Toto in for his shots in March. It's seems odd two other vets said they can separate it but this was says no.
22. It's better to be safe and yes the neighbors will think she is dangerous but from what you said I guess if they are a stranger that is true. So use it or you'll lose her.
23. When Toto was a puppy he also was extremely sore after getting his injections I called the doctor because he would just scream when we tried to pick him up. The doctor told us he thought it was a reaction to the Lepto vaccine. DO, I have wanted to ask someone who worked in a vet's office about what his first vet said. He put in Toto's records to not give him the Leptospirosis vaccination and that in the future I should keep him from getting that vaccine. Then we changed vet's a few months later because this doctor was so busy we couldn't get an appointment unless we made it way in advance so I told the new doctor that he was sensitive to the Lepto vaccine and that his first vet said to separate the vaccine and not give the Lepto. That Vet told me he gave him the rest of the combination vaccine without the Lepto he said he just didn't put it in there. We did that for the next 3 years. Then we moved and had to go to a new vet here in our new town. Well they claim it's not possible to separate the Lepto from the vaccine because they all come together. What I want to know is who is telling me the truth. Is this new vet full of crap or the old vet was just humoring me?
24. Oh no that poor chihuahua they get cold so easily what a creep.
25. Yeah well because of the popularity of maltese, chihuahua, yorkie, and toy poodle ect. they will probably soon be one of the largest groups of dogs needing to be rescued.
