I think my dogs have kennel cough.
rotten_two replied to leahluvsherpups's topic in Veterinary information
glad they are getting better! even with bordatella vaccines yearly they can still get kennel cough -- just so you know -- not trying to talk you out of it! -
don't take it personally millie but you have all of a dozen posts on this board and unless you have lurked here for a while -- i am not sure you know what you are getting into no matter how much older or experienced you might be :D

there is movie is called 2 brothers but i thought they were tiger cubs http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0338512/

back peddle -- now i wonder what would be that definition?
-
well maybe she puts it toward his care :D
-
owner of big cats? why? do you train them for movies or shows?
-
and here i thought 'exotic' referred to dancing men in leopard print thongs and 'wild' was more like guys you find at a frat party! geez i really should expand my vocabulary

where was your emt tenant friend when you needed him? j/k -
can't beat that with a stick! i have begged and pleaded with our vet to adjust me

good call ess! i do take gaia and aspen for chiro and acu. the trend is that aspen gets more acu and gaia gets the chiro. she is one of those dogs that has 2 speeds -- fast and faster. she is a brut force kinda girl too so she plows thru everything. most often her neck and her front limbs need adjusting. our dr is our vet so she only does animals including cats and horses. she is very good and when you see the look of relief on gaia's face or when you see her lean in to help get things straight you realize it really does help. alot of human practitioners are interested in animal acu or chiro. have your dr try becareful to watch tucker very carefully so that you know if he is getting stressed. it shouldn't be a bad thing and not everyone who is interested in dogs knows how to handle dogs. if you find you don't like something about your guy you can always find a canine chiro. btw how much would your dr charge you to see tucker?

well are they really serious when they say you're crazy? or are they more joking about it? if they are serious then they have a problem and you might rethink hanging around them. some of my friends call me fanatic or dog crazy or whatever but they are really joking about it so i grin and don't give it another thought. i am crazy about dogs.
-
i think you should act crazy -- really crazy like start playing with knives and such haha. who gives a crap what they say/think! flip em the bird when they say that. the dogs bring you happiness not these buttheads! my goal for myself is that when my dogs go to the bridge they will be able to say to the other dog souls 'i had the best life any dog could hope for' seriously i wouldn't give their criticism another thought. glad sash is clear on stones. hopefully they will isolate the infection and give you antibiotics that will kill it!
ok Laurel is my ex-hunting foxhound.
you taught your dog to hunt exes? cool! i have an ex or two who should be hunted down :o
-
yeah hurry up with those pics. sometimes the status in a pack (not including human members now) is situational. at the doors aspen insists on going out first and gaia could give a crap. on the couch gaia will grumble to keep her position and aspen will find somewhere else to lay down. neither dog marks where the other has peed. pyr they will get it straight between them the key is keeping a watchful eye just in case it were to get a bit out of hand.

you had me going for a minute there!
-
on the chest you mean?
-
what jess said that miss said sounds about right -- i do remember thinking we could have given her more benadryl but the problem was that it made her so lethargic. yeah great she's not chewing but she's barely conscious haha. you could try wiping off face and paws (and winky area) when they come in the door to get any allergens off. i dunno what the pollen count is like now but my allergies have been flaring too.

i still think it might be an alaskan husky! they are more shepherdy looking than the sibes or mals!
-
gaia weighs 85ish pounds and i was giving her 1 am and 1 pm. eventually she moved into prescription drugs and then shots because she has some really bad allergies we learned. are they chewing? corn cobbing? scratching? raw/bald?
