Hmmmm I may have someone that will take your dog. Theyve had Akitas before and want another one. They just moved or are going to move into a house. Maybe my friend can take in your Akita. Ill try to reach her and ask. They may not be able to but its worth a try, right? :)

Oh I realize, Odnarb, about these dogs because I read about them and thats how I got the pictures. Actually they were bred from Chinese Pugs and St. Bernards, although I find it hard to believe they got brindles from the pairing or that the size stayed the same as the pugs but I suppose after breeding and breeding you could change the size and coloring. These dogs are a "new breed" ( :roll: ) and are not pugs, as you may have thought! Thats the reason for them being called "Mini-Mastiffs" because they want to keep the breeds from getting mixed up. See Ive done my research! :D :wink:

Its possible that they are Dutch shepherds, after all not all internet sources are reliable... :-?

Ok Im on a roll with brindle dog pictures! :lol: THese are brindle pugs BUT breeders have been trying to make them different and a new breed. They are now called Mini-Mastiffs. You know when I was searching for pictures of brindle breeds, I found many interesting facts. For instance, I didnt know how many colors border collies came in! :o In the link I gave theres quite a few different colors. There was plenty of brindle chihuahuas in my search too and I found that there are many people breeding for it as a new trend. :roll: Just like with blue pits. Also there was claims of brindle rotties. I never found any pictures as of yet but I plan of researching some more as I find this topic to be very interesting. *EDIT* I did more research and I found that brindle used to be a common color for Rotties but now they are only breed as black and tan. Oh and I found some old picures of the GSD before some kennel clubs ruined the breed. Please dont argue with me about tthat though its just my opinion and there was another thread about it, but I dont want to start another fight over it. Anyway though, its amazing how much the breed has changed. Oooo I love brindle coloring too. I think thats what first caught my eye with bully breeds. Lol those Akitas kinda look lie hyenas with those brindle coats. Nothing against them though because I love Akitas also. Hmmm Ill have to find some pictures of brindles and post them here since the rest of you are. :D Dont want to feel left out.

Sorry but I dont think Primrose has the right to say PBL's girl IS people aggressive just because the dog didnt like one person. One! I get the point to take percaution, Im all for that but we dont have enough proof to say that her dog has human aggression. We all just want you to see that even if its not your dog thats starts it, that doesnt change the fact that people will look negatively at the APBT! Please just listen to what we have to say, I understand youre trying to defend your little girl but PLEASE take the things everyones said into consideration. I have been working with dogs for almost a year now (not to mention I was born and raised in a home with many animals including a dog) and I know that if youre dog ran into another female who was also dominant you would have a BIG issue!
