:Dog_run: I know someone who uses the gravel and it doesn't smell. She hoses it down about once a week and uses a disinfectant. If there is a good rain she waits a little longer to hose it. It works great for them.

:Dog_run: Sometimes Scott is such a smart a$$.

:Dog_run: He said I could get another dog!! Actually his exact words were "When I get a second woman, Re-Run can have his" :( I'm not sure I want another dog that badly.

:Dog_run: Scott's a keeper so I'll give in on this one. But there are times when a tomato in the face would be just the thing he needs. Mouse is right. Chinook will be back next time they go away, or if I'm really lucky Re-Run will go over to Chi's house for a long weekend and give me a break. :lol:

:Dog_run: Yes, I want another dog!!!!! I would love to have another one but Scott says NO! When I was growing up we always had two dogs so it's normal for me. He had every animal under the sun (usually to raise and well, let's just say to raise and how can I put this?? Chickens, lambs, a cow once, do you follow me??) But they never had more then one dog at a time. I use the excuse that my house is small and it much cheaper to have one but we can afford to have more then one. We have 11 acres so land isn't an issue. He won't budge on the issue so this is one battle I let Scott win. :( I tease him all the time that when he goes, more dogs will be here.

:Dog_run: Poor baby dog. We have been watching his best friend, Chinook since Tuesday and Chi's dad came and got him about an hour ago. Re-Run ran under the bed and won't come out. He will mope around most of tomorrow. It takes him a few days to get used to being the only dog in the house. Chi is an American Eskimo Spitz so I put him on my avatar. I miss Chi!!

:Dog_run: I would love to know if you get a reply. As much as I hope this Wayne is telling the truth and it's just their way of getting unwanted puppies, I highly doubt it. I hope no one calls to give their pups to them. :(

:Dog_run: Well, I called. His message does end with "God Bless" He did call me back, his name is Wayne and he claims to be with a rescue group-no name given. He lives about one mile from Detroit and claims they have a shortage of puppies in the area. He said he is in the Flint area. I made a story up about Beagle puppies and my hubby drives trucks to Flint from here (he saw the area code) He claims they are having problems with people disposing of puppies in various ways and they are trying to give people an alternative to doing that by taking the pups off their hands. Hmmmm. He sounds like a nice older man. He also ended our conversation with God Bless and thank you for calling. I have no idea what to think.
