1. Same here :(
2. What darling stories! People usually fuss over Macy, but no one's bought her anything yet!
3. We had a darling little fawn and white pit bull puppy in my rescue group awhile back. I was playing with her at one of the adoptions, and a lady came up and began petting her and asked what breed she was. I said, "She's a pit mix," and this woman snatched her arm away like she was about to have it gnawed off! The puppy was all of about 8 weeks old, by the way :D
4. Oh, he's SUCH a cutie!!!
5. We're doing clicker training with Macy and love it! Two good books are "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Positive Dog Training" and "Quick Clicks." I would recommend a class to get you started, though.
6. Super-cute babies!
7. Yup, I'm Catholic :)
8. I think Japanese chins are adorable! We'd love to see pictures of your baby :)
9. One more link..."10 Reasons Why We Will See Our Pets in Heaven": http://www.americancatholic.org/Messenger/Jul2003/Feature2.asp
10. From the same site, some stories about St. Francis and the animals: http://www.americancatholic.org/Features/Francis/stories.asp My confirmation name is "Francesca," after St. Francis of Assisi. I've always loved the stories about him and some of the other animal-loving saints, like St. Martin de Porres :)
11. This is great link, with lots of stories on how animals reflect God's love for us: http://www.americancatholic.org/Features/Francis/viewstory.asp
12. This is by a Franciscan priest from Americancatholic.org: Q: Can dogs go to heaven? I cannot tell you how much I loved my dog of 11 years, who died last January. I miss him still and want very much to know that I will be with him again some day. Is there any mention in the Bible or in Jesus
13. How sad...everybody, please take a moment and think about what will happen to your pets if you die unexpectedly. I know my parents would love my four angels, but not everyone is so lucky to have family who are willing and able to care for pets. The HSUS has some information on this on their site.
14. Could you ask friends or co-workers for their recommendations?
15. How old is she? Where did you get her from?
16. No kidding! How many truly purebred APBTs are there really out there, anyway? I'm willing to bet 99 percent of them are SOME sort of mix. And besides, so many of those breeds look similar that it would be VERY easy for anyone to say, "Oh, he's a Staffordshire."
17. I can't seem to access ratemykitten.com, either.
18. Poor angel...she probably was someone's pet and was dumped. I can't imagine any other explanation. Let us know what your mom and dad say :D
19. So darling! His tail looks like a little rudder :)
20. What a nice site! I've heard of them before and would love to go there sometime.
21. Oh, I wuv him! :iloveyou:
22. Awwww -- what a beautiful kitty! I love fuzzies :D
23. Bentley, we started feeding her the rolls mixed with her Iams kibble about three weeks ago. About one week ago, we switched her over to the Natural Balance kibble. I'm very happy with hit, and she seems to like it a lot, too.
24. I think those are all great foods, Bentley. Macy is quite a choosy eater herself -- maybe it's a Maltese thing! I add a few crumbs of the Natural Balance rolls (sort of a summer-sausage consistency) to her Natural Balance kibble and she gobbles it right up!
