Awwww, what a sweet boy !!!!! My Gretchen is always very wary walking on our kitchen floor.....she's very afraid of slipping and sliding !!! That picture is great !!! :D

I'm not squeamish about dog germs, if I was I wouldn't let them kiss my face :o :lol: The only reason I wouldn't put my plate on the floor for them to lick is; #1- There's more than one and I don't want fights #2- I don't want them to see somebody with a plate and think it's fair game. SO........if I have any leftovers I think are O.K for them, I divide between the 3 and scrape them into their dishes. :wink:

I have Jacks and they are definitely a misunderstood breed....... I did my homework before I got my first one and I knew I could handle them........ #1 I'm home all day/night, so I had time to spend with them #2 They definitely aren't for a person that's going to work all day and leave them un-attended for great lengths of time So anyone that has seen Frasier or Wishbone need to re-think. #3- My Grrlz are good with kids, but the fact is they were raised with kids around and the kids have been raised to respect animals of all kinds. I think each dog is going to have it's own personality's, you can't just think just because it's a certain breed every one is going to fit the mold. :wink:

:o Wow !!!!! And my hubby calls me "The Dog Lady" ??? O.K in order of appearance; Sassafrass Louise- (Sassy, SassFrass, Sassafrass Louisy,Snow Queen, Casper, The White Ghost, etc.......) Jack Russell Terrier, aquired her from a private breeder at 8weeks, she's now 3yr. and the Queen Bee. Loves to snuggle and sleeps under the covers with me !! Gretchen Josephine-(Gretchie, Big Blackie, Chewbacca, Wookie, girlfriend) Rottweiler/LabradorX, I aquired her from a shiesty breeder that was passing them off as purebred Rotts. She was the prettiest thing I've ever seen and is still absolutely gorgeous. She's got the sweetest disposition around.......She follows me around the house at all times......she doesn't sleep on the bed but right next to it on a cushy dog bed....I think she's afraid of the water bed !!! She'll be 3yr. on Christmas day !!! Kato @at- (Rotten @at, Fat @at, Mr. Stinkers) Orange Tiger 2yr. old My oldest daughter actually got him for herself......and brought him to our house to see.......my 2 younger kids fell in love with him and she couldn't bear to take him away.......she said he was 8wk. but when we took him to the Vet, the Vet said he'd be surprised if the feline was 6wk. He's never seen another @at, and I really think he thinks he's a dog.....he's the same size as one of my Jacks !!! 17lb. !!! Maisy Mae- (Mais, Crazy Maisy, Mai-Mae, Maisy Moo-Moo, Scaredy @at) Jack Russell Terrier 2yr. old JRT's are like chips, can't have just one.......got Mais at 8wk. from a breeder of JRT's and Horses. Seems the two go together. Mais is the youngest and the alpha, she and Kato used to be best friends but now she's afraid of him which earned her the last nick name !! The Moo-Moo nickname is because she looks like a Jersey cow with her markings !!! Maisy is my biggest lover.........if she can get anywhere near your face you will be instantly French kissed :P !!! She loves to be on me at all times and sleeps with me too !! My hubby Kris is a big YES fan and they have an album called "Welcome to the House of YES", well in the summer time he writes with sidewalk chalk on our sidewalk......"WELCOME To The HOUSE of YAP" :roll:

What mix are the pups ? They look like they've got some Terrier in there !! My favs based on looks alone are Bubbles and Scruff !! :angel:

Here in N.Y you must license and vaccinate your dog for Rabies. The licenses are renewed yearly and Rabies vaccinations can be yearly or every 3yr. depending on which shot you get. (must have proof of this when you license your dog) You pay more to license an un-spayed/un-neutered dog. If you're not up to date with your license and Rabies Vac. they can fine you and if you still don't comply they will take your dog. :(

I saw that same stupid article........it was supposed to be about Brittney being a new "step-mom"....but all it was was pictures of her with this little white dog......... :roll: I pity the child !!! :lol: And people charge more for their pups to these celebrities because they know they can fork over the dough !!! They don't care about these pups !!! :-?

3 of our dearly departed pets are buried in the local Pet Cemetary..... 3 are buried in our backyard.......and we keep all the collars and tags of our loved ones. I hang them on hooks on my kitchen wall.....my Mom couldn't bear keeping her last little Bostons harness so she gave it to me and it hangs right next to Nakita's collar on the wall. :wink:

Yes, Boots had 1 blue eye......at the time they said it was called a "watch" eye...... My parents got her from a breeder at a good price because they said she wasn't "show" quality. When she was bred, with another Boston she had 3 pups......one came out looking like a Beagle :o !!!! Her people named her Snoopy cause she had floppy ears and a pointy nose !!! :lol:

When I was a pre-teen my parents brought home our very first Boston.......her name was Boots (I know, not very original) her AKC name was Debricken Boots (Deb, Rick, Ken....all of us kids names in one !!) :o WOW, thank goodness you had the dogs !!! The Jacks alert me to everything........Gretchen rarely barks at all, she's more of an observer.......so when she does bark or growl I pay FULL attention !!!! One night we were just in bed and usually the dogs all go right to sleep....well Gretchen was sitting at the window and doing this real low under her breath growly noise........which of course got the Jacks going.. So I'm looking out the window and it's dark, I'm not seeing anything, but Gretchen kept growling and being very insistant......so I keep looking and sure enough under a street light in the darkness I see the lit end of a cigarette !!!!! Someone was standing in the darkness smoking looking up towards our house !!!!! This is very unusual because this is a neighborhood that is set apart from the city........ So, Kris called the police to do a drive-by and the next day NYSEG came out and trimmed back the tree branches so the street light could throw more light. I think it was one of the neighbors neer-do-well sons.......... :-?

My groomer told me whatever the dog weighs at 6mos. double that and that's what they'll weigh full grown. Don't know if it's true but that's what she said.......... :wink:
