1. Oh I was also going to say that I also give Indy meat with his kibble sometimes if I have scraps left over from the meat that I
2. I don't think anyone should be made to feel guilty about what they feed their dog! Each person should just do what they feel is best for their dog and what they are most comfortable with. As long and the dog is getting adequate food I don't think anyone has the right to make anyone else feel guilty or make them out to be a bad owner just because they do something different.
3.
Why not come on here and ask for advice on how to cope when the new baby comes ??
Excellent suggestion Ellieangel. We have lots of people here who are Mum's to both fur kids and skin kids so I'm sure there would be plenty of advice on how to cope and juggle everything that needs to done. I plan to start having kids in the next few years but Indy will always be my first "kid". He is about as high maintenance as dogs come but he is worth every second and will continue to be so for the rest of his life.

5. Mei-Mei, I have heard the same thing, however I think it's raw meat and kibble that shouldn't be mixed - not so much cooked meat. I understand that the reason for this is that raw meat takes about an hour for a dog to digest where as kibble takes something like 4 hours. Apparently if raw meat and kibble are in the stomach at the same time the raw meat takes as long to digest as the kibble. So I am assuming that there is much more likelihood of a dog getting sick from raw meat if it stays in the stomach for so long. Again - I am no expert so anyone please correct me I have got this wrong.
6. Whooo Hooo Rowies. Can't wait to see LOTS of pics from you
7. Welcome back Kiger, it's good to hear from you again. And of course it's great to see more pictures of the ever handsome Kato
8.
You would think in the "infromation age" that no one would be so ignorant
I agree. There is so much information to be found on the internet these days that there is no excuse for people being so ignorant. I think the main problem is that people "think" that they already know everything so don't bother doing any further research.
9. I've got to say I'm glad we don't get any wildlife in our backyard. I know it's a natural thing for dogs to do but I get too upset if I see anything hurt or injured or especially killed. Though I think Indy would be too slow and clumsy to catch anything anyway.
10. I'm actually a little stricter on the exercise and eating. I wait for about 3 hours after Indy has eaten before he does any exercise. However after we have gone for his walk of an evening I wait about an hour to feed him. If I waited any longer it would be almost midnight before he got dinner - he gets it at about 9.00pm as it is.
11. Yum, that sounds great. I am going to try it for sure.
12. I think in this case the breed is irrelevant. She was NOT in a leash free area so no dog should be off lead regardless of their breed.
13. oops we posted at the same time. I'm glad the mystery is solved and that there isn't some really determined freak trying to get his hands on Laurel. I would be pretty pissed of with your son's friend as well - it's really not very funny :-? It's good to know Kyle has a bit more sense.
14. I agree, I would keep a very close eye on her for the moment. It must be quite worrying for you. My first thought is that the two incidents are probably related and the same people are involved. The scary part is that they seem quite organised and prepared to try anything. Are you able to get any info from the police on the people that originally tried to claim she was theirs? I would at least call the police and tell them that they are trying to get her again - just using a different method.
15. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Thanks for sharing your story in order to make others more aware. It's really quite scary that we can't trust everything our vets give us these days. They are supposed to be the experts - right?
16. There is no rule on what is too soon and what isn't. Just do what feels right for you.
17. I am so glad that things have worked out for Baby.
18. I am so glad that Zebra is recovering so well, it is really great news. Sounds like you had a great day all round. :D
19. I think the woman should definitely be charged. Leash laws are there for a reason and apply to EVERYONE.
20. Wow, that really is quite strange but funny too. The dog in question wouldn't be named Houdini would he
21. How horrible  I've probably missed something, but how does this guy even know about Laurel and where would he have got your phone number from?
22. Wow!!!! Good girl Laurel.
23. I am not at present but I have seen them and have thought about it. However I am still undecided on whether it is necessary.
24. I just love Hippo in that outfit - she is adorable :P
25. :roflt: They are so funny. If you get the umbrella thingies you HAVE to post pictures of the girls with them.
