1. That is one gorgeous pup! Good luck in your search. :D
2. Hopefully your new neighbors will LOVE dogs! It is a badge of honor to be "the dog lady"!!! :kciuki:
3. HF - Congrats on your imminent arrival! Good luck on selecting a name! :D
4. Oh, Sanvean! I remember Charlie's photo from when I was going through the phase of deciding whether or not to get another dog after Max's passing. He is so handsome, but couldn't have come to live here since we have two cats and a big male dog. I will say a prayer for Charlie. He deserves a chance at a decent life. God bless his foster family..... I hope Charlie does well.
5. I sneaked a peek at her website....her dogs look lovely. I love the black and white... :D Good Luck!!!
6. Rest Up! He will keep you waiting hand and foot on him once he gets home! :D I wish you a happy reunion tomorrow!
7. There should be a picture of him in Webster's Dictionary under the entry for *cute*! I love his spots! :iloveyou:
8. Lots of drooling here! Ben makes strings of drool sometimes even though he is a relatively dry-mouthed saint. Jerry drools for food, but polite crystal clear drops, not big gobby strings like Ben! Cassie - loved your post! Our previous saint Wiley was a champion drooler....get the towel!!!...was the cry in our house when Wiley came our way. :D
9. Very nice job! The pictures you posted say it all! The last picture of Haley just screams, "Guilty, guilty, guilty of the most heinous ear-licking!" :iloveyou:
10. Fantastic Results! Congratulations, Lily and Aroura! :smilecolros: :smilecolros:
11. Fatty tumor, maybe? Ben has one. We just have to watch it for any increase in size.
12. EXCELLENT!
13. :cunao: :cunao: :kciuki: :kciuki: I agree wholeheartedly! I've gotta remember that one!
14. Yes, there are people here who love Saints! We love them because of their "largeness" both in spirit and body, their goofy ways, slightly dopey appearance from time to time (at least true with my Ben), loyalty to their people, and downright good naturedness. We love them in spite of (as K mentioned) their larger costs across the board (food, time, vet bills, cleaning). They are 100% worth the extra effort as anyone who has owned one knows. It's just good to be prepared! :D :D
15. We should weep...... :bigcry: :bigcry: :bigcry:
An estimate for HEALTHY dogs destroyed is between 4-8 MILLION per year in the United States
We should weep 8 million tears. This is our national disgrace! We ought to have a mandatory course in schools across our entire country on the ethical treatment of animals. Estimate does not include sick dogs, cats and other pets.
16. Yes, she does have that look! She is a beautiful pup......my favorite picture you have of her is the one in which one eye seems to be squinting a bit. Like she's mentally ticking off a list of what she has already investigated at your place and is wondering which things she has yet to snoop into! :B-fly:
17. Play hard, Rocky - while you wait for your beloved people at the Bridge! Sorry for your loss niftyjulie....
18. SHELLY 556 - Can you see Saydie's pics now? She's a real cutie!
19. Too true! The puppies are lovely.... :baby: :iloveyou:
20. Hmmm...of concern to me when chosing a dog would be: 1. Agressiveness with food/human (would be on the lookout for this trait; would not adopt a dog having it). 2. Reaction to startling stimuli (calm and easy-going is what I like) 3. Sociability with other dogs/humans (always need a friendly dog since he will have to share his space with others in the house) These are the three traits of most concern to me. I have dogs who are companions, not workers - even though they get plenty of outside time with us they do not have a job except to hang out with us 24/7.
21. Exciting news! Laurel is a pretty girl. :D We've got our fingers and paws crossed here!
22. Ellieangel - :iloveyou: TEN rotties! :iloveyou: That must be lovely! I would rather go into a yard with a big dog than into a yard with a little dog. Perhaps it's just because I have more experience with larger dogs. Little dogs who snarl really make me nervous...... Maybe the sign would look more menacing if the pretty little maltese had a snarl going on the sign?!!
23. It's good to hear you did not have to wear a "cat hat" in the car!!!  Sorry about the ear mites; they can be a yucky mess to clean out. At least you don't have to do the drops in his ears! I've never had an adopted or "found" cat that didn't have a case of them....they hated the drops, and always shook their heads after the drops went in their ears flinging drops and yucky goo everywhere... :x Dongwa is lucky to have a good mom like you who is taking care of him and is going to get him "tutored" in a couple of weeks! (Have you seen that farside cartoon with one dog saying to another-with great excitement-that he is going to get tutored - instead of neutered?)
24. Yes, he is.......I think Ben is tutoring him when we are at work! :D They both wear such "innocent" expressions when they greet us at the back door!
25. I will keep Cookie in my thoughts during this precarious time!
