Ok... got a vet appointment for Bella for her ear infection today evening. I'm going to ask him (didn't get our regular vet) to check her out at the same time too. You know... a basic health check. She's really adorable! My big brother's wife came today to take a look at her and she came running to her and kissed and played with her. She even fell asleep in her lap. I'm just so surprised on how open she is to strangers!! Our neighbourg came yesterday and the same thing happend! She's so good! Oh, I couldn't be happier to have her! Hmm... I took some pictures... wanna see? /Crest

I just weighed Bella. Guess how heavy she is!! 1,4kg!!!!!! :D I allso measured her... she's 18cm!!! Isn't she tiny?!

(snore) That little termite hogged my bed!! (snore) She thought ofvourse that it wasn't any fun sleeping on the floor in her OWN bed! (snore) So when I picked her up in my bed untill she fell asleep and then put her in her own bed... The result was whining and trying to jump into my bed (wich she can't yet do, because the bed is too high). (snore) To top it off, she woke up every two hours!!!!!!!! (snore) But I guess this is what having a termite for a baby is... /Crest

Poor little Bella. She got her mommy's ear infection. :( Just sent an e-mail to the breeder asking what ear drops she used on Bella (she put ear drops in her ears just in case). It's 0:30AM here and guess who's up! Yeah... Bella. Or actually she's not up much longer (tries to sleep in my lap right now). So I guess I'll [i]try[/i] to get some sleep. We just got back and OH MY DOG what kind of puppy Bella is!! She is so open to everyone!! She kisses everyone!! She has the world's biggest heart!!!! She's really energetic and doesn't seem to be afraid of ANYTHING! She's always coming after me, in fact she just walked into my room! Oh, I don't know what to tell you about her... She's so... so... so... PERFECT!! Poor Ben is afraid of her thou... He runs away and she's such a bully! She runs after him and BARKS at him! Poor Ben tries to run away but of some reason she always catches up with him! She slept ALL the way home. The breeder told me that she probabely is carsick, but... NOTHING! She thinks car rides are bedrooms! :lol: I'm totally in love with her!! Who wouldn't!?!? Do you want pics?? I haven't got any real good ones yet, because... SHE DOESN'T STAND STILL A SINGLE MINUTE!!! (exept while she's asleep) Ok... I have to take the pics off my camera and post them here... I just have to play with her a little first, because she seems to be lost. (mom and dad's calling her.) I promise you pics on monday!! :thumbs: I'm going to make this kind of adventure to Ben's and Bella's homepage about the weekend when Bella came home, so there will be LOOOOOOADS of pics. You know me... Picture freak! :oops: Just tell me if you start to get sick of my pictures and me freaking about every little thing. A new puppy is such a big deal for me, you know? Everything starts to be in order now. I still have to take the carpet off my room and put newspapers on the floor of the little wooden puppypen I built with my dad. And then see that the batteries to my camera are loaded and ready, so I can put them in my bag and put the bag into the housevan. Oh, you can't imagine how exited I am!! Or mabye you can... But to think that all my life doctors have told me I can NEVER EVER, [b]EVER[/b] get a pet and then I got Ben and now I'm getting Bella. I'm prooving every specialist wrong! Thank you, thank you!! :D I'm VERY exited! Beeing busy does keep my mind of Bella atleast a little, so right NOW it isn't that bad, but let's see how much I can sleep tonight!! :roll: Well, Ben showed what he thinks of the trip a little while ago. We have this caravan wagon to put behind our car (so it's like home away from home). I had clothes in my hands and went to the caravan to put them there. Ben ofcourse followed (he's a real caravan dog. Loves the caravan life) and jumped into the "home #2" right away. When I had put the clothes away, I left Ben there for like two minutes to go after the second (and last) stack of clothes. When I come back, I wonder what that yellow liquid is that's on the table and on the plastic flower we put there as decoration. I put the clothes down and check it out... HE HAD PEED ON THE FLOWER ON THE TABLE!!! :o And to think he's 110% housebroken! Kiwi: I have some car pills that I've given to Ben too sometimes. I'll take them with me and if this short trip (about 130km) is hard on Bella, I'll give her one of thoose when we go home (about 200-230km). /Crest

Oh my dog! TOMORROW we're heading to my cousins near Helsinki and the day after tomorrow (saturday) I'll get to hold my baby in my arms and she'll be mine!! FINALLY MINE!! And on Sunday we'll be heading back home from my cousins with my baby girl! Ohhh! I can't wait! I have butterflies in my stomache, I can't stand still, I've started to stutter because I'm TOO exited!! I WANT TO GO NOW!!! I want to take pictures!! I want to hug, kiss and play with my baby!! I want to take her in my arms while I'm watching tv and have her sleeping on my chest and tummy!! There's one little problem... She's carsick like Ben. Ben's got better now, but Bella is so tiny. The breeder told me that all of the puppies threw up in the car when she went to take them to the health check to the vet. Do you think I should have her in her new travel box (wich will allso be her bed) and keep Ben in my lap in his own safety harness or keep Bella in my lap and Ben in his box or Bella in my lap and Ben in his harness on my side? But see, you guys in the good US of A are just crazy! ;) See... Here in Finland many vets let you be IN the operation room while the operation is done, and then when it's finished you can just go and pick your sleeping baby up, put her in your car and after paying the bill go home. That's what happend to Ben and I wouldn't agreed on "fixing" him if I wouldn't have been able to do that. Yes he was painfull a couple days afterwards, but I called the vet, she called the pharmacy, I went to the pharmacy and got painkillers for him. I gave him

Thanks Mary's Mama! I guess it could be mold allergy, but how can he get the same reacton of other foods too??? Sometimes he gets it from cookie crumbs etc. that fall on the floor too! It makes you really think. I would LOVE to go and get him allergy tested, but the tests are so horribly explensive! I couldn't find it on Nutro's own homepage, but I did find it on the finnish Nutro page. Do you think I can change Bella's food from one to the other when she's so little? I would feed her puppy food, because I would rest easier knowing she's getting the right ammount of everything she needs, but I would feed her Nutro. I've tried to get Ben to eat the same food that Bella eats (a thing called Serti or Friskies). Before that he ate a thing called Hills d/d Egg and Rice that I got from the vet. See he's allergic to some dog foods. Some make him scratch the skin on his throat off (like Solid Gold). I'll start from the begining to give you an idea of Ben's food problems. When I got Ben he ate Pedigree Advance Puppy mixed with cheese or Cesar canned meat or something like that to make it tastyer for him. I had a hard time finding it in the shops here so when he should have gotten Junior, I had to change to adult. I wasn't so sure about the quality of the food and I tried Cesar Delicroque and other things. Then I heard of a porridge that I've given him ever since on the side of the dry food. Then I tried Nutro Choise Maintance Mini. He ate 3kg sacks for 6 months with VERY good results. His stomache worked very good, his skin was exellent, he was very active and happy in every way! I had no complains. Then I decided to buy a 15kg bag, so that it would last longer. I noticed that the color of the food was lighter, but didn't pay much attention to it. That's when the troubles started. He started to scratch the skin on his throat so that it started to bleed. No matter what we did he just continued to scratch. After we took Nutro away, he immediately stopped. The vet gave the diagnosis that it was food allergy. I tried many foods. Allergy foods, sensitive stomache foods, regular foods, market foods, canned foods, dry foods... But always gave the porridge on the side. Now I tried the Hill's d/d Egg-Rice and Ben could eat it but it wasn't tasty and it had pretty much fat in it, because Ben got zits of it. So now when I heard what foor Bella eats, I decided to try the same food so that the two of them wouldn't have to eat two diffirent foods and so I wouldn't have to watch like a hawk that Ben doesn't eat her food or she doesn't eat his food. Unfortunatelly no matter how carefull I was, Ben got diharrea of that food, so I just had to forget it. Now I decided to try the 3kg Nutro bags and he seems to be fine. I've not given him it many days yet, but he seems to be able to eat it. Now I have a pretty tough question: Should I give Bella Serti (pretty cheap market food) and Ben Nutro or should I change Bella's food to Nutro Choise Puppy Mini? And another question: Do you have any idea of why Ben can eat the food from the 3kg Nutro bags but not the 15kg? Thanks! /Crest

...and then the ear tapeing, house brakeing, puppy training etc. will begin. And I CAN'T WAIT!!! I must be crazy! Many think it's horrible to pick up poop and wipe pee from the floor I have no problem with it. I don't think it's disgusting or anything like that! I [i]MUST[/i] be crazy.

Then on Saturday I'll go and get Bella and back to my cousins. Then on Sunday morning I'm heading back home sitting on the back seat with Ben on one side and Bella on the other. Do you know that she allready has nick names like: Bellushka, Bee-bop, Boo-Boo, Bootilishious etc. etc.? :D AND SHE'S NOT EVEN HERE YET!!! What do you think about the "puppy pen" or what to call it? I would place it beside my bed (offcourse) and then old newspapers on the bottom and her little sleeping box in it. This way, she wouldn't be able to get up at night, walk through the house and in the morning, when I'm walking in the house barefoot and still a bit groggy I find a nice "surprise" when my foot splashes into a little water "pond". She would be able to get up and do her buissness, but inside the pen. I would make it big enough for her to walk about a little in it too offcourse! I would make it like 1 meter x 1 meter or so. For a little puppy, that's HUUUGE!! And with time, I will take the pen out and it would just be her little boxy beside my bed. What do you think? /Crest

Angelboddy: No, I don't mind at all! Thank you! Oh, and there are diffirent hairless varities allso. Hairy hairlesses look like powder puffs, but get shaved. EXTREMELY hairy hairlesses are sometimes not even detected, so some breeders even think they're powder puffs. And then there are so called "medium hairlesses" (like Bella) and true hairlesses (like Ben). ;)
