1. 24 :o Well, at least the puppies will be well socialized. But how in the world do you care for 24 puppies? And I'm sort of upset that the puppies weren't (well 10 of them at least) sold before they were born. Isn't that was a responsible breeder does?
2. That is just so sick. :x What kind of sicko would do something like that?
3. Your most welcome Nad, anything for a fellow dog lover! Oh my, we visited the little munchkins today. Of course, I can't get the smell of pee off me () and I had a 15 minute "sniff inspection" at the door by the one and only. Anywhoo, the two pups are from Thailand, and two months old which is perfect. They are the cutest puppies I have ever seen. :D The minute we went inside the quarentine room, Nad almost burst into tears. I can't imagine how amazing it must be to visit your future dog, after all the months of waiting and preparing! Nadooshkinz' female dog is slightly smaller than her brother, whom I have nicknamed Fat Albert (wonder why ) and a bit darker at points. Gorgeous though, both of them. And don't worry, we took loads of pics! Fat Albert was the funniest little chubby roly-poly puppy! SO much like Rowie it's scary. There was a brush on the floor by his kennel, and while we weren't watching stole it and ran back inside. I want that puppy soooo badly now. Nadooshkinz will probably fill you in on more details, since it was her special visit I won't ruin everything and I'll just let her tell you the rest. The names she thought of for her puppy (now that she's seen it) are amazing!
4. I'm so sorry to hear this, BailysMom. Sending positive thoughts and hugs your way! Spend these last few months doing things with him you always wanted to do, take a long hike with him (you and him alone), spoil him, everything. Keep us updated!
5.

Congratulations, DAL! :D I haven't been on for a long time (stupid computer) so what's the story behind him? Rescue? He is too cute for words..
Yes he's a rescue, i had another pom named Boonie that we rescued, but i had to put him to sleep recenlty and was devedstated about it, i loved having my little dog.. so 'justin got me this one from the same place as we got boonie ;) i got him yesterday
I knew about Boonie and I heard about his passing, I'm very sorry by the way. :( But I'm so glad you got Stryker, he's absolutely gorgeous and you have such a sweet, caring husband who'd get you a dog even though he's all the way in Iraq! :D Give Stryker a kissy from all of us!
6. Congratulations, DAL! :D I haven't been on for a long time (stupid computer) so what's the story behind him? Rescue? He is too cute for words..
7. That is honestly the ugliest dog I've ever seen. Sorry. Just take a look at these pics, http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/americanbullnesephotos.htm, I shudder to think how many genetic defects these dogs might suffer. Look at the last picture of the puppy, urgh. I don't think the pic is photoshopped either, that's just one f*d up dog.
8. I can't stop tearing. That dog is amazing! There was a story a few months back of a Golden Retriever saving a drowning boy's life in Saudi, very touching.
9. Urgh, this is horrible. I'm glad the pups went to good homes...I just hope that the new owners knew the sire was a Pit, and had any experience with a Pit or Pit mix? Not bashing the breed, but there are laws about any "pit like" dogs (they look "Pitty" to me), Pits can be dog aggressive and some pounds won't adopt out any Pits (so if they did end up the in the shelter, the pups might not get adopted out...you know what I mean...). Also, I hope the new owners didn't think just because the Dam was a Lab that the pups would be Lablike? It can happen both ways. That's what is concerning me the most, right now.
10. I loved the Deep! Hilarious pictures, way to go! :D
11. Congrats on your new puppy! :D The instructions on how to post pictures are in the "Pictures" section (its a sticky ).
12. I Love Cameron Diaz. :D
13. GSDs, GSD mixes, Salukis, Saluki mixes. Its so sad the Golden is so popular, waaay too many BYBs. Its so sad seeing what they're doing to the breed. :(
14. Stuff like this always upsets me, even though we (and by we I mean me and nadooshkinz) get it a LOT here. :( Every day there are advertisments for "chiwawa puppies" (spelled like that, yes) with cute little fluffly chi pics. I remember once my mother and I went, and the lady who bred them lived in a small 2 room apartment with her husband, bred Pekingnese and Chis and had around 20 dogs. :o She was German or something and leaving the country and selling ALL her dogs. *Sigh* Maybe you could start a petition to stop buying from that puppy mill? There were two pet stores in my area that sold puppies but stopped when people started complaining to the managers...etc. Or maybe you could work there and secretly warn people about Petstore Puppies. :evilbat:
15. What a wonderful xmas present! :)
16. Sorry, its the first time I've heard of this breed so I can't help. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you, too! :D
17. Beautiful pic! :D
18. Ooooohhh, Dobe puppies! So adorable! And you can really see the color contrast in the first pic of the bunch together. :iloveyou: I'm sorry about Paige, what a sweet looking darling.. :(
19. Have you decided yet? :)
20. Me too, Pyrless. I'm constantly researching breeds and checking out breeder's websites (since a good, responsible breeder has tons of information) and will come across breeder's websites that say "xmas puppies ready" or "puppies will be ready before xmas...make your child happy for xmas!" or some other crappy line like that. It makes me sooo mad! Why would people do that? (Don't even get me started on WoC and CP...) :x
21. I voted for the first one, but I also love Casey D' Cannonball Express. Actually, all the names are fantastic. Did you come up with them yourself? :D
22. Those eyes... :iloveyou: Great pic!!
23. Hang in there, Boonie! And good luck to the brave mommy who's spending so much time and effort keeping this wonderful pooch alive...
24. Rowie has her own spoon we let her lick off of. I would let her lick my spoons/plates but my mother will absolutely NOT allow it. And well, sometimes I don't know where her mouth has been!
25. Seijun, you made some great points! I'm not a really big fan of cropping, actually I'd rather not do it at all. But I always think of the Salukis here in the ME who have cropped ears (not standing, just cropped with rounded tips). I thought it was horrible until this boy whos father raised and bred Salukis brought in a video of a Saluki hunting a gazelle. With the cropped ears, the dog was able to hunt much better because the ears weren't in the way and they didn't get torn...etc. So when it comes to a working dog, I guess I can accept the fact that a dog is going to be cropped/docked. But I think when you just own a pet, cropping and docking isn't very necessary. Did you know horses used to be docked? :o It was banned, though.
