7. Well.... I may be a bit biased... but.. howabout a springer? Wonderful family dogs, the two that we've had are great with our cats, Carson actually sleeps with his head on Fritz (the cat)! Ohhh!! I was just browsing through the Springer Rescue site.. PUPPY BREATH!!! But anywho, If you wanna browse through the site... http://www.springerrescue.org/adopt/index.html Good luck!

10. I agree with LC too.. Plus, your 15, right? Imho.. I dont think that if something *did* happen, if you would be able to handle her on her own. :( Good luck with your decision.
11.

Don't take this the wrong way, but I would never chance it with a dog like Tallie. Unfortunately it sounds like she needs to be put down for her own good :(
Did I miss something?
Yeah.. I feel as if I've missed a post or two.. :-?
12.
Justin IM's me this morning and said that it was 123 IN THE SHADE in Iraq..... :o itold him it was like living back in Arizona.. but not really.. since ya.. but wow! that's flippin' hot!
:o HOLY CRAP THATS HOT! :o
13. Ack! The past week its been like 95 F or so.. and soooooooooooo extremely humid. I love the heat, but the humidity is killing me!
14. Ok! I'll get my dad to head to the store today to get a Halti.. and if it isnt any better, oh well, a waste of a couple bux, but its worth the try! Thanks guys.
15. Omg! Poor Gaia!! I remember when we got Mocha's allergy test results back, she was allergic to like.. 11 things! It was crazy. Poor girl was itchin like crazy.. Luckly she didnt have a problem with getting shots or some "special treats" covered in peanut butter. :evilbat: Hope she gets feelin better soon!
16. Eek! We've been working with Carson on not pulling on his leash, but we still use the gentle leader cus he isnt quite getting the idea yet.. Anywho, so in the past 3 days or so, the hair right where the thing sits on his nose has been falling out, and his skin is.. flaky? I guess thats the best way to describe it. My mom put a little piece of medical tape around the loop for the nose to see if it would help, and then a day later, there was a little bit of blood on it. :o Any ideas?
17. Wow.. this is the first time a post has ever brought tears to my eyes.. I'm so worried for you and your babies (2 and 4 footed  ). Your letter is purely wonderful. If it doesnt make him rethink it, he must not have a heart... I wish you luck. Keep us updated!
18. Happy Birthday Scout! Sounds like yall had a great day! :bday:
19. Carsons 2.. does that mean this is just a stage?? Yup, what she said! He's just a pup, and they dont have long attention spans! Plus they get easily distracted. Just give him some time.. Keep working on the training, too! Good luck!
20. Aussies are great! My best friend has an Aussie, and she loves everyone. Plus, the first time that we dog-sat her, she did WONDERFUL with the cats. Didnt chase them or anything! :D
21. I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. May she be rid of all her pain and fear at the bridge..
22. Well, I may be a bit biased here.. But how about a Springer? They can run and run and run and run and run, but if you get the right one, they calm right down when they're at home. Mocha would sleep almost al lthe time she was inside, but the second she was out, it was a completely different dog! (Of course, Carson, will run and run and run and run all the time, and would probably scare the shit out of Scout! ) When we got Mocha, the pound let us take her home for a week to see how she did and the cats did around eachother.. Luckly it all worked out fine... See if ya'll can work something out like that at the pound.. Although, Scout may feel that this dog is comming into his territory, and wont like it. You will probably want to have them meet in mutual territory.. Just my 2 cents..
23.
for the hard core barkers, grab by the nape (loosely, dont hurt) and stare at them, in the face directly. say SILENCE and do not look away until they do. this sounds harsh to some, but doesnt hurt them and its how a dog mom would do it.
Thats what I do when Carse gets overly wound up and play-bitey.. I grab him there and stare him straight in the eyes and tell him to calm down. He's starting to get it.
24. Omd.. I'm so sorry... The same thing happened with my parents first dog.. Give her a hug for me when she's up to it..
25.
HF's poodles are GOOD TO GO...thats how I like them. shaved and not prissy...sorry HF, I cant stand the typical poodle cut. SHAVED POODLES ROCK!!! 8)
I'll second that! I looooooooove shaved poodles!
