I thought Sassy was a Pei mix.... so you DID get the wrong bill?  you really confused me  I had no idea any vets office would do that... that's just insane! You'd think that actual dog people would know better   HF, I think that's awesome you change them  Has anyone said anything to you about it?
Well they got a new client, named Sassy :P and when they added breed, they put it to the wrong Sassy.. Yes Sassy is totally not a desinger dog. Unless a labrapei is a new one?

I swear if I hear another doodle I'm going to cry!! I was getting dog food for Sassy at the vets office. I get handed my bill, and what does the breed line say??? Goldendoodle :x :x I'm like did you give me the wrong bill or did Sassy change breeds on me.. I was utterly pissed off.. I can't believe the vets offices use those bloody idiotic names.. Why couldn't it said Golden mix or poodle mix  I don't know why it just pissed me off..

:o this thread just took one hell of a turn :o

I don't know what to do with Sassy. It's been 4 days since she's touched her dog food, but she'll beg for human food like you wouldn't believe. I thought she was being stuborn. Well this evening, she had exsplosive poopies.. I couldn't get her leash on fast enough.. Poor dog had such a mess. I'm now wondering if she's caught a bug from somewhere, or she ate something that didn't set well.. I'll keep an eye on her for the night, and if she has anymore poopies or pukies, she going to the vet.. I swear this dog gets sick more then any human child LOL..
-
She's been drinking water like a dang fish!! I've refiled her bowl twice already today. and she's been wanting out alot, haveing to pee. Her nose, and stuff are normal. I think partly it's due to a few extra pounds
-
What is going on!! Sassy has been panting all day, and it hasn't been hot at all.. It's like she'll get up walk around & pant. We still have our AC on, and we're not sure what's going on. I can't really aford to take her to the vet.. But this is starting to worry me..
-
Or I can just throw it at them when they walk by again :x

Yes Dog poop. Why do the neighbors insist on letting their little terrier mixed crap in my yard.. I kindly asked to please get your dog out of my yard, the owner looked at me like :o just a second. He let his dog finsh shitting in my yard. Yes I have dogs, and I don't fancy cleaning up other dogs shit besides my own. Last time I had Sassy out with me. That cut the dogs crap short.. he's like omg!! Pinched it off & took off..
-
BM, how many times do I have to ask nicely before he's listens? Anyway, I've been working with her daily, and good results.. No bolting so far, and she's actually starting to enjoy her pen outside. So she's doing better, and I'm holding my temper as best as I can.. Hopefully things will settle down..

My Grandpa loves to stand with the door standing wide open when he comes in or goes out. I'm like hurry up & shut the door!! Then he say's don't tell me what to do.. And that just starts an arguement.. I could get low income houseing, in a studio apartment, but they don't allow dogs over 35 lbs.. And Sassy is 75.. It's either keep my dog in my room when I'm not home, so she doesn't have the chance, or leave her outside in her Pen, which is 6ft X 8ft. It's under a large tree, she has a full bucket of water, food, and a nice sized dog house to get into. Found out from a neighbor, that she barked for about an hour this morning. It could be since it's a big trasition to being outside more. I'm really trying to make things better for myself & my dogs.. I just worry about them being treated right when I'm not there.. in 2 months I start a new job, so it's opening up a whole new world... But I worry. Zeus has the run of the yard. Wouldn't it be fair to switch them off every so offten? So Sassy can have yard time, and Zeus is in the pen.. I still have to have them apart when I'm not their to watch them... I've thought of maybe starting to train Sassy about 15-20 mins a day so she's more responive to me. I admit I slacked off on her training. But I have to face grandparents going against what I say. Blah. I'm just rattling on now.

I may seem snotty with this reply, and I'm sorry, it's been a bad day.. I'm trying to save money to move out on my own. But I had to use part of my saveings to pay for Sassy's vet bills... No one really understands who my grandpa is... He has a problem with anger, he always has. One wrong word & he goes off.. Today while I was at work. I did something I've never done with Sassy. I put her in the pen in the backyard.. I felt horriable doing it. But it was the only way.. And if I do move, how will I be able to know if the apartment will allow dogs??? What will I do then? I can't take Zeus with me when I go, he needs room to run.. I can handle Sassy, but money is a huge issue.. That is my biggest battle right now is money to get out. God I don't want to be lectured on how I live my life, I just want to see my dog stay safe.. That's why I asked for help. To train her not to bolt out the door at the slightest chance. Not to be grilled about why I don't move.. What is it people don't understand about not being able to afford moveing??

I have my reasons for dislikeing my grandpa.. He's a very cold, hatefull person.. ANd he could give a rats ass about Sassy.. And today I left her crated when I went to work with strict instructions of do not let her out.. Came home, and she was uncrated  I try to be nice, and kind to him, but he just calls me some rude name, and does it his way.. I'm really tired of his additude towards me, and the dog.. Thanks for the tips DO, Mal & Dobber.

Yea, I know! The one who keeps letting her out doesn't care. She takes advantage of his stupidity & lack of effort to stop her. My grandpa doesn't make her get back when he goes out the door, so out she goes every damn time. And he'll just laugh when she runs off. I don't know who to get pissed off at. My grandparents or the dog.. I've had words with him more then you can believe! And I'm not plesant either. I do not want to see her hurt or killed by his lack of care!!

  Right now I'm not at all happy with Sassy.  I swear to god she just loves to ignore me, every word I say to her she just looks the other way. Once again she got loose, and once again she didn't come back on her own.. So I had to track her through the woods, and down the middle of the street.. All the while I'm yelling come, stay, no!!! Bah stupid little bitch doesn't listen.. And I've worked & worked with her in the yard with the long line on come! I don't know what else to do. Put a electric collar on her & everytime she heads to the door give her a zap? I'm completely lost!!

Sending you Sassy kisses. Many hugs to you Mouse!
-
Eep! Lovely Flowered peis!! I want!!! :D
-
oh no!! I'm so sorry Mouse, my prayers are with you & Gladis at this time. This makes me worry about Sassy now.. :(
-
I'm kinda worried about her. She's been breathing extremely heavy, and just not acting like herself. Last night she pitched a fit when I took her out to go potty, she was trying to bite me. She hasn't acted that way for along time. I might take her in tomorrow for a check. Something is going on besides the UTI I think. Kinda worried about a heart problem or some underlying thing I'm missing..
-
Yet again Sassy has a UTI, even with all the meds/new diet everything. So our next step is another 2 weeks of antibiotics followed by another urine sample followed by an ultrasound to see if she has a kidney problem that is causeing this.. God this is going to cost a fourtune! I hope we find the problem this time!! We've already had x-rays & urine clutres sent off. Showed nothing, yet she still gets them.. I'm completly lost as to why.

Here's how it happened. The vet was ready for the dogs, and I was on my way out the door when they where on the way in.. An error in judgement on my part I know. Next time I would've moved to the other side of the room or gone out a differant door. In fact I heard the clerk ask the guy to come in the other door, away from the other dogs.. But he came in the main door. So I don't know, maybe it was my fault :-?
-
Sassy is so submisive to strange dogs. But you never know what might of happened if she might of seen the dog as going for me. Plus it would've been 2 to 1 :-? Funny thing is the one dog was the Mom, and the other was the daughter. So I guess Mom passed the aggersion to daugther. I need to get a pic of Sassy's muzzle! Makes her look like Hanniabl Lector, but it works wonders as to her behivor around the vets.

Serriously I was not excpecting a lab. I wasn't stereotypeing at all, just useing a breed as an example. I have a GSD, so I know they're not aggressive.
-
I was at the vets office today with Sassy. And a guy comes in, and tells the clerk, he can't bring his dogs into the building until the other dogs are out of sight. I'm thinking okay, maybe it's a large dog, like a GSD/Mastiff Something that doesn't like other dogs. To my shock he say's, they're 2 spayed female labs!! I just went for a urine sample so I decided to take Sassy back to the car, well there outside the door were the pair of labs! Sassy wears a muzzle at the vets office. I take it off once we get in the car. Well I wish I would've taken it off a bit sooner. One of the labs lunges for Sassy, and I don't think I've ever moved that fast before. I pulled Sassy away as fast as I could. Thank god I got her away before she got bit. Another client comes out behind me with a large intact male boxer. Same result the lab goes for this dog as well. I have a problem with that. I swear he could invest in a soild & sturdy muzzle for his dogs. Never have I seen that kind of aggersion from a lab in my life!! :o SHocking.
