  1. Today on my lunch break I dandered down to sweetie millers for a wee packet of crippies and just happened to look in ads for free newspaper on the off chance that there may be a dog kennel in it to fly Kes to America. Lo and behold bobs your uncle and there was one in it airline approved and all. I called the people tonight and went to see it and its exactly what I'm after plus its big enough to amply do her at adult size. Its a vari kennel type thing and would cost over
  2. For a male get him done when both testicles are descended (usually at about 4/5 months). The sooner he is done, the better as the neuter will be more successful if he hasn't discovered his anatomy yet :P
  3. thats super! well done Sydney :D
  4. way cool, congrats
  5. I try to take a back seat when it comes to personal issues on this board because I've learnt in the past that arguing usually causes more stress than its worth. Dal all i can say is good luck. I'm sorry that you are being slammed on Dogo here and I really don't think thats fair. You have to make huge decisions right now; about your marriage and about your living arrangements and of course about Zoey and that certainly isn't easy for you I am quite sure. If Justin's parents are happy with taking Zoey then that would be great. Zoey will adapt. Dogs cope far better than humans do. Focus on getting your life back on track and being happy again, because happiness is what makes life worth living.
  6. aww pooh Bear you poor pupper. Keep those icky staples in and you will jumping about before you know it
  7. oops i just saw the name on the pack and turned up my nose at them on the plane  Thanks for educating me guys :P
  8. She definitely can't have ivermectin as shes a collie. Pastoral and herding breeds can have allergic fatal reactions to it which isn't yet fully understood. Thanks for the rest of the info though gang
  9. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D Yay for Pooh Bear!!!!!!
  10. Hey Angie, thats icky that you can't see the pics but don't worry, when I move to Texas you will get to see the holy terror in person if you really want to that is!lol! :P
  11. wow super ideas there folks! one thing though. If craisins are raisins (think i was given them in the breakfast meal when I was flying back from Texas) then they shouldn't be given to a dog as raisins are highly toxic to dogs.
  12. K is the voice of reason. Will Justin definitely want Zoey and in the meantime will his parents be able to cope and care for her?
  13. This has never been an issue for me living in N.Ireland but moving to Texas there are mossies and Kes will have to be on Heartworm preventative. Please can I get a little input as to what brand is best to use and how often she gets it etc? Thanks:-)
  14. Excellent! Thanks Tracy! :D
  15. Any ideas folks for what I can fill a kong with for Kes that won't be too harsh on her young tummy? (No peanut butter because I'm allergic to it and its forbidden in our house :P ).
  16. Zoe is now approaching 14 years old and has never been shown but she has always had a very good coat that judge friends of mine have deemed as wonderful for the ring. To get a nice shiny coat lots of omega fish oil is recommended and bath your Golden a few days before the show to let the coat settle otherwise the coat will go frizzy if done the day before. When you groom use a water spritzer to keep the coat damp and to tease and tame any frizzy parts. Good luck and hope this helps!
  17. This time one week ago I was on the road going to look at puppies and little did I know that I would be bringing back Miss Kes the bundle of fun! She has settled in so well with us and I can see her growing nearly by every day. Each morning when I wake up to go see her she seems to be bigger! She is such a bundle of trouble though I have to admit. She drinks the beer out of the slug trap and yesterday she pulled in a packet of puppy tubo's that were sitting on top of her crate and ate 1 and a half. Fair enough I sholdn't have left them there but I didnt think she could reach them. For her efforts she had softer poop yesterday and we had to go out more but she still didn't mess her crate. Phoenix the kitty has now overcome his snobby attitude towards her and the two of them are having a right old lark. They play tag together. Phoenix sneaks up behind her and noses her tail and she whirls around then chases him until he jumps up high, then Kes runs out of the room and Phoenix darts after her and the fun starts again hehe. My Mum is in absolute fits laughing at their antics! I introduced her to the horses in the field out our back as well and she was fine with them; didn't even bat an eyelash. How can it be that I only have her one week and I just feel so warm and content with love when I think about her? When we are out in the garden and she is running towards me or walking nicely on her lead, I just feel so proud. This puppy has wriggled her way into my heart very quickly.
