  7. My Free has Hip Dys also. We found about about 7 months ago. I haven't made a decision yet because I am too scared. GOOD LUCK with your doggie. All will be well....
  8. Oh I am so sorry about the situation. It seems that your friends dad is stuck on his decision. Honestly I have no advice for you. I can only wish and hope your friend's dad changes his mind.
  9. All I have to say is that I hope the girl recovers quickly. I taught my son who is 9 to never ever under and circumstances break up a dog fight because he will be the one to get hurt.......
  10. That is sad....
  11. I forgot to mention... :P Dal I'm glad to see your back with us here at DOGO!!! I hope your back is ok. I too have back problems. I have 3 herniated disks and that is no fun..... Hope your nose feels better also..
  12. Dal...I don't get it. Was the guy a thief and that is why they called? Sorry.......Sometimes I can be dense...
  13. I am going out on a limb but I need to say this. ( I am prepared to get yelled at. ) I know exactly how DAL is feeling in more ways than one. I too am very sensitive. I understand the excitement that DAL was feeling when her fur babies barked. I did the same thing. As most of you know I have 3 Rotties. My Patti was adopted at the age of 3. She was not raised in my home so she never barked at strangers. It has been over a year since we got her, and just recently she began to bark at strangers in the driveway. YES I praised her! I am not ashamed to say it. Yes I give her treats when she does it. You can all yell at me for doing that. Patti is very scared of people so when I heard her bark for the 1st time I was very excited! Our trainer says we should praise the dogs when they do something that we want, but also correct them when they do something we do not want. If I remember correctly DAL did take the dogs and crated 1 and placed the other in the bathroom. I do the same with my guys and they still act all crazy and bark but the second I take them out their back to normal. I truly believe our dogs like to embarass us at times. Lets act all crazy so mommy looks stupid in front of strangers. My other 2 started barking at people at about 6 or 7 months old. Lets face it we all get excited when it comes to our dogs! I truly believe that DAL was not excited because her dogs were showing " signs of aggression " but she was excited that her babies were showing her that they are there to protect her! Zoey and Cody know that Daddy is not home and they wanted to show Mommy that she doesn't need to worry or be scared because they are there for her. Also I posted a few posts in which I got a little sensitive when I read the replies. I have only been on this site for a short period of time and I do not want to see DAL leave. I enjoy reading your posts. I enjoyed reading about the training classes. I also chuckled when I read how your doggy was tearing things up and not listening. Not because I thought it was funny but because it reminds me of what I went through with my guys. We are all like family here and to see you leave would be upsetting to me. I now wish I posted something back when I read the WOOOOOW I have guard dogs post. I would have congratulated you because your dogs have come a long way. DAL ...I hope that this post will change your mind and you will rejoin us here. PLEASE
  14. I give Asim Nutro Puppy for large breeds. I just switched the girls to Purina, they were on Nutro Large Breed but that made them get to much gas :grab:.
  15. I beleive that the tiger was trying to help him. I went on a site yesterday and the people there were saying he got what he deserved. Which is soooo wrong in my eyes. Just as any of our " pets " protect us the tiger felt it was his main goal to protect and help Roy. I sure hope he recovers 110%.
  16. :B-fly: I looved it.......
  17. That is horrible....... Poor dogs...................
  18. All my Rotties are crate trained. We still use the crates even on the oldest who is 4 yrs. None of our dogs bark while in the crates. Remember a Rott is very hard headed so when she doesn't listen to you don't feel bad. I went through the biting and the " Sit, sit, sit, I said sit." , stage with mine. My youngest broke through one of the crates but we went out and got a stronger one. Now they go into their crates whenever they want to be alone and when I command them to go inside. No struggle at all anymore. It will take time but she will learn to behave. Be strong with her. Don't give her up unless you've exhausted all your options of correcting her bad behavior. She will return all your hard work with lots of doggie kisses. Good luck...
  19. For ink use hairspray or Oopps. Oopps is sold at like Home Depot, Walmart etc. Good luck with Zoey. It can be very hard I have 3 and when we got Patti Free ate everything in site also. She finally got over it but it took alot of dog watching and crating.
  20. I once tried dressing up the girls and they hated it. They tore eachothers clothes off. But for Asim a few weeks ago I had scrunchies around his ears and he liked it. My boyfriend said " Take those stupid things off the dog. Your going make him a Puss.." I was like yeah right scrunchies on the dog's ears will make him a Puss... Whatever. I'll just have to look for a cute girly outfit for Asim.. :evilbat: and have him all dress up before my boyfriend comes home....
  21. I thought it was a bear also. The breed sounds very interesting.
  22. Poor baby...She'll be all better before you know it...
  23. I'm a Pekingese! No bones about it, you're a trendy, A-list Pekingese. Classy and fashionable, you love to be admired. Sure, that means you can be a bit high-maintenance at times, but you're worth it, right? You shine brightest in the company of other chic, well-groomed doggies like yourself
  24. Hi Rowie. WOW everything is looking good for you... I give my guys rice all the time. The vet says it is good for them.
