I'm just curious to how much chipping cost in your areas? I just called my vet and they told me $40 for chip and $12 to register.

That is great sheltielover. :D Nothing better then to make sure your dogs are ready for a new member in the family. When nostalgia was just a pup, only 4 months old. As soon as harley was born, she would lay down at my door and not let anyone in my room but me. And when Harley started crying, nostalgia would jump up on my bed and lean over to the crib to make sure she was o.k. She may have been young, but she was still a very good girl and very protective baby-dog. :angel:

Thanks guys! :D Thanks for all the support you have given Nostalgia and I through this time. I was a pretty stressed out mommy there for awhile. :o But we are doing better. She just has not drank water all day. :( And the vet said that the steroid shot should make her very thirsty. She has been pantting all day. :-? I just hope she starts to drink some water. I just gave her her first pill......Boy was that hard to do. :roll: I tried to give it to her rolled up in some meat, but nop did not work. So then i tried to stuff it down her throat, and hold it shut, but all she would do is squirm away and roll her tounge to get it out. By that time the pill was already getting mushy. :evil: Finely i got it down her throat, but she slammed me into the wall during the process. :roll: And she is suppose to have this done three times a day. :o Tomarrow I work all day so my hubby is going to have to try and give it to her at lunch time. And you know how he feels about Nostalgia(he just puts up with her) So this is going to be funny to hear about. :lol:

I'm not to sure if she really knew what was causing the itch. :-? She asked if she was outside a lot, but of course shes not. Then she flipped her over on her back and saw some little red bumps on the inside of her thighs. Thats when she said she had a staf infection. She gave a perscription for Cephalexin. Thats what she has to take 3 times daily. Is this steroid shot going to effect her any? The vet said, she will just be very thirsty and have to pee a lot. :-?

Well we just got back from the vet. They did a skin test and she does not have mites or mange. :D They said it is a staf infection. :( They say thats why she is lossing her hair. So they gave her a sterroid shot and some antibiotics. I start giving it to her tonight. I am suppose to give it to her 3 times a day. If I don't see any inprovment in a couple days, then I have to bring her back. :( The vet told me that everything that I am doing is great. :D And to keep up with the benadryl. She was a good girl at the vets. :D It was only 36 dollars for the whole thing. :o I have just one question that I forgot to ask the vet :oops: ........ What is a staf infection, and how do they get it? :hmmmm:

Thanks you guys! :buzi: K, yes I took her collar off. :D Yeah, I just got my pay check and cashed it! :D We can now go to the vet today. :D They told me it would be 20 dollars to check her. So we all are going to walk her up there in a bit. I also got some hambuger from my deli that I work at. They were going to throw it out. So I got about 5 pounds of it! :D And yes I did make sure it smelled alright. :wink: So I am boiling it right now for her. :D After it is done boiling we will go. :D Please wish us luck! :angel:
