PUPPY MILL BUST!!!!! WE WERE THERE!!!!!!!!!!
abker17 replied to Daisysmom's topic in Everything about dogs
You should go to the web site, it is on there already!!! The woman was investigated on 20/20!!!!!
REALLY???????????? WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's cool! Maybe that got some people to think about where they get there dog!
-
I just wanted to point out that it sorta seems like we are attacking icyshiver.... we might not be trying to but, I mean she just lost a dog. Everyone makes mistakes, and yes maybe this could have been prevented. It sounds like this breeder has good intintions, and if icyshiver has been there for several years, I would think she would have noticed if the animals were in any distress, or if the breeder didn't seem reputable. So maybe we should just back off a little? Losing a dog is a very painful excperience and I think we need to be a little kinder than we've been. Sorry I can't help u more icyshiver, I know nothing about parvo. But please don't think we are trying to attack u, obiviosly u care a lot about dogs and are only looking for some advice and maybe some guidence too.

Yes, the list here on Dogo is long, but I hate how dogo has non breeds like the labradoodle and cockapoo listed as breeds. :x :-?

Grrrrr.... I hate uneducted people who go by what the media tells them and write things like this:
As a dog owner (all Labs) for 32 of my 36 years, and soon moving to West Seattle, I agree with Matt Rosenberg's call to ban pit bulls in Seattle. I love dogs, but this breed is as useless as most of the people who own them. I have never, ever felt the least bit comfortable around a pit bull, even one chained up behind a fence. The recent West Seattle attacks do nothing to quell that feeling. I'd like to say that pits are a kind and good breed outside of their owners. Truth is, they're not. They're mean, vicious and dangerous animals. Couple them with the low-life that breeds them to be even more vicious and you get trouble, severe injuries and death. Until an enforced ban kicks in, I will protect my dog and myself in any manner I see fit. Peter Fessler, Seattle
Cracker seems to have a cold. She's been sneezing a lot, and her nose is all runny. The problem is, whenever she sneezes, she hits the bottom of her mouth on the floor! Sometimes she's spray out blood from hitting the wooden floors so hard. :x  The poor thing!!!! What can I do? My mom says it's just a cold, but she doesn't seem to do it when she's inside. Can dogs even get colds? I feel so bad for her! Please help! :( :( :(

That's an interesting story Courtnec. I can sorta relate it to what is happening with my dogs because, Cracker was here first. We found Abby as a stray, and after searching for her owners and turning up nothing, we decided to keep her. We had been considering getting another dog any way, as Cracker was alone most of the day and we thought a fellow dog could be a nice friend for her. :) So when Abby came, Cracker had been alpha. (of the animal part of the family of course)

It's okay K! I'd been giving Cracker all the firsts even before u told me it would help. No harm dons, I still love ya! *HUGS* :D :D :D

I know! :( It wouldn't show up for me either.

Not only post pics of the earrings, POST SOME PICS OF ROWIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks a lot Courtnec! :D I think that will really help. I'd heard that giving Cracker "firsts" would just make things worse, although that's what I've been doing for some time now. I'll start giving Abby, the "firsts" and I think it should help a lot. Oh, yes, and Cracker is female. I don't think Cracker will mind not being top dog, because I don't think that is very important to her, being that she is so submissive in the first place. I want to point one thing out, that has often confused me. When Abby and Cracker are playing, Abby always rolls over on her tummy for Cracker. :o I find this odd. What do u think?
-
Abby does the same thing after using the bathroom, she kicks up grass, and I always thought she was trying to cover it up. :o
