Abby knows the command, the trouble is she does it sooo slowly and I have to tell her like 5 times before she'll actually do it. :-? This is proving to be a problem in agility, because I need her to be able to down fairly quickly on the pause table. I've been using a technique called jack potting, where when she goes down even a bit faster than usual I reward graciously with a favorite treat (such as cheese, when I would usually just use regular dog training treats) But so far Abby hasn't seemed to be connecting the extra treats with her going into the down position faster. I'm going to try to dig up my clicker and start marking the behavior, maybe that will help. But if anyone has any other suggestions, please post them, I'm getting desperate here. :P
From what I understand RnP has 2 pitbulls, a huge rottie and a couple little kids. Good combination? I think not. Maybe if he had the sense to not play with fire from the start he wouldn't be in this position.
That really doesn't have much of anything to do with this, it's just stirring the pot even more. Rotties and pits are usually wonderful with kids. Let's not start a debate on that aspect of this mess too.
If it's getting tired, then drop it and go somewhere else. I am really sick of all these new people just joining this forum to bash someone else. Take it somewhere else.
Actually Miss J had been a member for some time before this started.

I agree with Michelle.... This is really quite sad.
But knowing you're 13 does help put things more inperspective.
I was trying my best to ignore this comment, but that just annoys me to no end. DO NOT judge me based upon my age. That's just so low... I'm not even going to waste my breath.
IMHO publicly putting someone on trial before any "solid" evidence was brought forth is, in itself, a form of a personal attack. If someone did this IRL, the chastised could bring a defamation of character suit against their chastiser for publicly dragging their character/name through the mud in this mannor.
Well that would be the American thing to do now wouldn't it? Sue the a*s off of a 13 year old for posting about something she though her friends should be aware of. Niiiiice.

RnP- I am sorry that you have had to go through all of this. I still think there's something wierd going on here, and no matter how much my opinion may anger some people, no matter how stubborn some members of the board may think I'm being that is what I truely believe. I have never been one to lie about what I truely think. And from looking at other topics like this one on other boards, I've relised that a lot of people feel the same way they just aren't speaking up. I'll leave it at that. Edited to add:
Just my two cents... I believe Rott and the Admins should have been contacted BEFORE making this post. Dragging everyone else into it and aSSumptions (well all know what they do right? ) being made... This does NOT concern the whole board, but RnP, his dogs, and the admins of the board since their supose to be our "Peace keepers" But, unfortantly NOW this DOES envolve the whole board
Maybe it wasn't the right of me to decide to drag everyone into this, they would have found out anyway, but maybe it wasn't right. I thought about it, and I did make the decision to let everyone know, as I've stated before because I thought they deserved to know. I'm sure many many of you think this was a mistake on my part. I'm sorry that this had to turn into such a huge mess, and I've probably lost a lot of respect from people here, which I fully relise.
Is Abker the one that found this??
I DID NOT FIND THIS. Word spread from person to person through these other boards, and eventually got to me. I chose to post about it because I felt you all should know. I'm at a complete loss for words right now.
SRC i'm sorry but you know what.. you just seem to be fueling the fire here.. Maybe you should just back off a little? beucase you just keep saying the same thing over and over again. if we wanted to read what you wrote, we can go back and read it , so really it's not needed for you to post over and over again. maybe you fell this way, but you haven't been here as long as some of us, nor as long as RnP..
Totally agreed. I've now been to nearly all the boards that are well known that RnP posts at. I've read through all the threads, and things just aren't adding up. If he really isn't lieing, and can somehow prove he isn't then I will admit my wrong, and if it was wrong to accuse him in the first place then so be it. Guess that makes me a b*tch. Oh well. I'm fed up with all these lies.

I'm with DAL, Sasha and mydogroxie. I WANT to believe Rott is telling the truth, and yes like some of you said he has always been a good member to this forum, but things just aren't adding up.

I really hate to be jumping on his case, but evidence and wierd "coinsidenses" are popping up everywhere. I too want to hear his side of course, just doesn't look good to me right now.

Some how I don't think so. Look at the discription, we know he has a baby girl, plus D Harris, those intials are also in his e-mail addy.

http://www.apbtauction.com/detail.asp?id=46 Is it just me or is that RnP's dog?! Maybe it is not my place to post this, but that sure as h*ll looks like Drey to me, and from the discription sounds like it's RnP selling him. :-? I'm just so disgusted right now, I want to know the the crap is going on.

Wow I had no idea, I was sent this by a pittie rescue group I keep contact with. But thanks for telling me.

Swiffer Wetjet - floor cleaning product- deadly to animals. Sent: Tuesday, May 04, 2004 10:38 AM Subject: Swiffer Wetjet - HEALTH WARNING for your pets THIS IS A CROSS-POST FROM ANOTHER LIST: -------- Original Message -------- Subject: Swiffer Wetjet ***HEALTH WARNING*** Date: Mon, 3 May 2004 18:56:37 -0700 (PDT) Take this for what it is worth. I use this product and plan to stop using it immediately. I'll stick to steam from now on. From a Pennsylvania rescue list:: I recently had a neighbor who had to have their 5-year old German Shepherd dog put down due to liver failure. The dog was completely healthy until a few weeks ago, so they had a necropsy done to see what the cause was. The liver levels were unbelievable, as if the dog had ingested poison of some kind. The dog is kept inside, and when he's outside, someone's with him, so the idea of him getting into something unknown was hard to believe. My neighbor started going through all the items in the house. When he got to the Swiffer Wetjet, he noticed, in very tiny print, a warning which stated "may be harmful to small children and animals." He called the company to ask what the contents of the cleaning agent are and was astounded to find out that anitfreeze is one of the ingredients. (actually he was told it's a compound which is one molecule away from anitfreeze). Therefore, just by the dog walking on the floor cleaned with the solution, then licking it's own paws, and the dog eating from its dishes which were kept on the kitchen floor cleaned with this product, it ingested enough of the solution to destroy its liver. Soon after his dog's death, his housekeepers' two cats also died of liver failure. They both used the Swiffer Wetjet for quick cleanups on their floors. Necropsies weren't done on the cats, so they couldn't file a lawsuit, but he asked that we spread the word to as many people as possible so they don't lose their animals.
