I agree with DogPaddle...... Make sure Sheridan has places to get away from the dog if the need arises. You're also going to have to secure a safe feeding spot for the c@t where the dog can't get to it and a secure spot for the litter box. :wink: Good luck !! Why did that Vet assume you used Laurel for hunting ?? That's the part I don't get..... And for a Vet to advise someone to get rid of their dog because it will evenutally be blind is totally unprofessional. That guy does sound like a total A** and I don't think I'd continue at that practice.......but it sounds like you have a good repoire with the lady Vet. I was going to suggest the same as Izzy......... We used to get birds, bats, etc.... down our chimney but my husband installed one of those wire/mesh hoods over the chimney on the roof and we haven't had any problems since. :wink:

JRT, you've got them as being 11-15in. WRONG !!! Jack Russell Terriers are 10-12in. Parson Russell Terriers are 12-15in. Colors- They have to be 51% white with tan, black (or both) markings. The whiter the better. Coats- There are 3 types; Smooth, Rough, and Broken. Faults ??? Vicious ? OVERLY snappy ??? AGGRESSIVE to humans ????? I DISAGREE. Maybe you should pay a visit to JRO, or JRS........ Survey the people who own JRT's/PRT's......... :roll: Nicknames .....Puddin's/Shorties are nicknames for JRT's NOT PRT's And what the hell is a PUD ???? I curiously asked one time how much some JRT pups were that they had and she told me [size=6][b]$600 [/b][/size]!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can you imagine how much some of the other breeds were ???????? THAT's why they offer financing !!! So people get sucked into the impulsiveness and can take them home on the spot after they've signed their lives away........... :lol: :lol:

I said why don't you just get a JRT or a Pug ? She's determined to get a Jug like her daughter........ :( I tried to reason with her and tell her breeding 2 different breeds and calling it something for the sake of money is WRONG !!! Plus the fact she's not home hardly at all and she already has an unruly mini Schnauzer she ought to take time training...... :roll: And of course her daughter bought the dog from the Pet Store (Pet Depot). I really don't know how her daughter affords it.....she has 5 dogs now. The girl is 19 and just got married. Both she and her husband have minimum paying jobs. Heaven help them if one of those dogs get ill. And I'm sure she probably finances them through the Pet Store. I'm sure she didn't pay cash out right........ :-?

:evil: I was so angry this afternoon......... One of my X-inlaws called me and asked if I would look up JUGS on the internet for her (she doesn't have a computer). I was like What the hell is that ???????(Here I was thinking boobs..... :oops: ) She said it's Jack Russell/Pug puppies, and I want one. I was like I'm the wrong person to ask because I don't believe in designer dogs. She was like but my daughter has one and he's so cute !!! I was like where did she get hers.......PET STORE !!!!! I said those pups come from Puppy Mills and that's another NO,NO !!! She said I know but they're so cute !!! She said because they're a mix you don't pay that much for them..... I said how much did she pay for it ? She says $350 I said HOLY SH*T !!!!! I only paid $250 for my purebred JRT !!!!! I told her she was crazy and it was wrong but I still think she's going to look for one............ :( People....... :shake:

Observation for Rabies is when they quarantine them for 30 days to see if they show any symptoms, right ?? :wink: The actual test is removing the head and testing it. :(

Yes !!! On Animal Planet they used to have this really cool Plexi-glass tunnels so you could actually see the dogs moving !!! In the real outside GTG you can't see them until they come out..... But I think mine would be awesome at that !!! :wink:

GTG is Go To Ground !! Have you heard of it ?? It's really cool to watch !! :wink:

I wouldn't hunt, but I would love to get my JRT's into the GTG. :wink:

:( What's next ???? this will keep on going till they just don't allow dogs anymore. It's plain stupidity at it's best. :( Did those kids call the Dog warden themselves to pick the dog up ??? I assume a parent made the call, why would an adult allow kids to be playing with a strange dog of any breed ?? A smart person would've contained the dog in their yard or garage till the warden got there. I believe this is the fault of the owner for letting the dog run and the adults that let the kids play with it. :( I rarely tell people that don't know me that Gretchen is a Lab/Rott X because of people's misconcieved notions.
