1. I buy Hero from my local Asda superstore now, which my dogs like better than any other brand. (Suprising I know) but I am not going to feeds my dogs on anything that isn't suited to them...especially the Bullmastiff has he is prone to allergies which include wheat and dairy products etc, which Hero is free of. What brand does your dog/s get fed on ?
2. That is so sad. I really feel for the family of there poor dog  I got on the site using this link. http://www.putnampit.com
3. Hi DogPaddle. As most rescue dogs. I would definately say that he is missing his other home, most likely if he hasnt been abused...also the move can be distressing too. Playing with him and giving him plenty of exercise will help. Good Luck!
4. Oh Kiwi. Thankyou so much for letting me know  I only read Poofy's message and didnt realise she had already explained about her little dog. Ooops  To Poofy. I am glad to hear she is feeling better now and on her way to recovery. More thoughts are on there way hun. :D
5. My dogs are fed on Hero Complete. They were tried on Pedigree amongst others, but I have found that Hero is best has it gives them strong bones as well has an healthy shiny coat, plus my Bullmastiff does not get skin problems now! So it must have something thats good. They also have vegetables and fruit included. As for milk, I would not give mine any has it can cause stomach upsets in dogs as well has cats...believe it or not.
6. Poofy I am sorry to hear about your little dog. (thoughts and prays are with you both! Might I ask what happened to her ?
7. Laugh My Butt Off  to the person who says that someone reported them. Um strange. How could that be possible if no one has the address, unless it was given out somewhere over the net to maybe a person who lives in the neighbour-hood! No one from here as reported dogs barking. tuts.
8. Damn login...that one was mine guys....sorry!
9. Personally I would not recommend RAWHIDE especially given to aggressive chewers as it only takes a second for the chew to become lodged down the dogs throat which i nearly had happen to my Bullmastiff who had half down his and managed to pull it out. Luckily i was in the room at the time otherwise who knows what could have happened. So now none of mine have RAWHIDE CHEWS! However a few weeks later i read in a dog magazine that a 2 year old Bullmastiff was given Rawhide to go to bed on and the owners found him lying there the next morning struggling to breath, but before they could get him to the vet he sadly died in his owners arms. So please please think about what your doing if you are to give your dogs RAWHIDE make sure that you are keeping watch at all times just incase your dog decides to swallow the whole lot....these chews get very soggy which is like rubber and difficult to tear, which is understandable why they are also hard to digest in the dogs stomach. P.S I WILL TRY AND FIND THE MAGAZINE (amongst the hundreds) ABOUT THE BULLMASTIFF AND LINK IT HERE.
10. Beautifull dog. It definately as Rottweiler breeding and i would say Catahoula :D
11.
I went to a HUGE show up in Portland, OR for 2 days! I TOLD everyone not to do ANYTHING while I was gone! I talked to the breeder, and I was amazed at how small the dals were! :o They were about the size of whippets! (or smaller!) I think they were 19 inches. Are they breeding them smaller? I learn that I don't want to show...to hectic! No peace and quiet and all those people! :o I think I'll just hang and do agility with my future dog. By the way, if you want to see a rescue dog I'm considering I have the pics and info in Dog in Need.
Way to go Lab :D I wouldnt show either, too must hassle i think, being busy and all with sneering breeders its enough to put anyone off showing. I just stand back and watch, more interesting...as well has taking a look round the stalls.

13. Hi Wondering (WELCOME) Hope you have many happy times here...lots of nice people who can help and advise you! As you have your hands full already with your dogs and children (Im not going to say dont have another dog) but if you think you can cope with another one then i would say go ahead....but if you think that you wouldnt be able to give the attention that the dogs needs...as well as your big family, then i would say wait a bit longer. I dont have any children at the moment but i know they can be hard work as i have minded my nieces as babies trying to give them the attention as well as my dogs...but then i only had 2 dogs, now i have 3. What ever you decide! I wish you all the best. However im sure others here will be able to put you on the right track.
14. Charlie loves licking soap bubbles when your in the bath but as far has eating a bar of soap, hes never done that. However we did have a Boxer cross, Sadie who ate a block of Lurpack butter out the dish whilst in the kitchen when we were out...she jumped up onto the side. When I arrived home to see what she had done I let her out the kitchen so she bought the whole lot back up all over the stairs :o
15. Penny's eye is fine now Mouse. (thanks for asking) Still keeping an eye on her just incase the cyst comes back though but I dont think thats going to happen...no signs of it anyway :) Keep you posted!
16. This problem with people letting there aggressive dogs run lose is happening all to often. Your in the right Goblin!!! I live near a canal which i usually walk my dogs down, the Bullmastiff Charlie is kept on his leash while the Border Collie x Penny, Westie x Patch are allowed to run free as they don't bother with people or there dogs...maybe a sniff as they pass, but Charlie gets all excited when anyone walks past and he cannot resist a sniff either.....but he is quite pushy and im a little wairy of him knocking the person in the canal with his strength :o However further up (about a mile) there is some land that i allow him to run free on and which i can see for miles to if someone is coming...so i can get ready to put him on his leash. This isn't because i dont trust him, its simply because many people do not like big dogs charging towards or going anywhere near them for that matter....especially if that person doesn't know the breed, so im always on the look out lol. Occassionally i do take them on a park which isn't local so i have to go by car, but usually there are a few dogs running lose and do tend to come over and try to sniff my dogs but then Charlie pulls to try and get to the dog so i turn and walk the other way, there as been one occassion where my Westie as been snapped at and of course Charlie as put himself between him and Patch and scared the dog away by jumping on him. Penny also got snarled at when she came face to face with this Boxer, but im not surprised.....she was sniffing his eye lol (she does this often) strange
17. Aroura, I carnt tell you how to break up a dog fight but I can tell you ways of preventing it from happening next time. What i do with my dogs when they have presents given them....the dog its meant for (say Penny for instance) is the only one allowed to open hers, if she doesnt have any interest....then i open it for her without any fuss as not to cause any jealousy from my other two dogs. Penny is then given her toy to play with on her own, not that my dogs will bother her anyway but precautions should always be taken, and if i see penny being interrupted by any of my other dogs going near her thats when i come in and immediately pull them away! They all play well together anyway but im always watching them.
18.    Words cannot explain how i feel after reading that very sad story!
19. Aroura I only feed my dogs cooked potatoes and greens, because raw potatoes are not good for dogs and carrots are hard to digest. They also occasionally have pasta!
20. BK sounds like you have a crazy dog
21. Chaining a dog up is just like crate training a dog, of course they don't like it at first, but then they get used to it, and they don't mind at all. Anyway, that's my 2 cents. -Johnny
Johnny you must realise that chaining a dog up for the rest of its life is not right and is totally different from being in a crate for a few hours everyday. With a cage the dog is chain and collar free (i say this about the collars with tags attached because dogs can get caught up in the bars which is very dangerous if the dog were to panic...so please everyone with crated dogs.....take your dogs collar off before you put him/her in the cage! BACK TO CHAINS also the dog as somewhere dry and warm as well as draft and noise free in the home. When the dog is tied up on the chain outside...it as to wear the collar with the chain/rope hanging off it day in day out for the rest of its life which doesn't do the dogs neck any good....and besides the dog isn't always going to toilet in the same place is he ? so therefore the chain as well as the dog will get covered in ecrement and then the dog is soon to be covered in sores from the urine. As for aggression sooner or later that dog is going to show fear for the amount of time it is kept chained up.....dogs like to be free to roam on there land, do there own thing, and if allowed too they become a delight to have around people and other animals. Have you noticed that when your out with your dog who is running free....a person comes along with theres on the lead who is pulling and being snappy.....this is because that dog wants freedom to run round and play with other dogs. If he as been bought up to not fear people and animals around it...why keep him on a lead ? All my free are allowed to have free exercise, including the Bullmastiff who loves playing with other dogs small and large.....he is very gentle with them. (isn't that how people should be).
22. At the moment Penny's eye is fine...there is a little bit of redness but thats to be expected having the drops in twice a day which is probably making it sore for her.
23. Mouse we all go through the same with spaying and neuturing our babies, make sure she as plenty of rest you will notice she will be back to normal by the next day glad she is Ok :D
24. My Bullmastiff Charlie's first favourite is the Frame Ball in the picture below! I always remove his toy after playing so that he doesn't become bored' it also reinforces my position as the pack leader. His second is this Rope Tugger which he plays with Patch Penny's Favourite is the Wiggly Giggly...the big ball to the left of the picture below! Her next favourite is the Funny Ball
25. I cannot immagine what the poor girl must have gone through. I don't know how she as survived, its terrible. How can someone allow anything so cruel to happen to such lovely innocent animals! It's beyond me it really is, putting that evil man in jail for that length of time is not enough....he should have life!                                they all are                       You cannot put it into words of how you feel about these sick b*******, cowards.
