1.
Oh so Bows and Ribbons are a no no then  ..I was just thinkig how I could fix a pink one to Bobbi now she is all nice and clean.....maybe not then
K You could put a slide with a bow or ribbon on it, in her hair LOL....don't know if it would stay in but you could try! I used to have them in mine back in my childhood days...Umm do they still do them ?
 2.
Shannon, I don't like the whole bow-and-ribbon thing either. It's too fru-fru (sp?) for me... but I didn't know it effected their eyes. Oh, I forgot to mention the Schnauzers... I think it's really ugly how they comb the muzzle down to make it look like they got a mustach/beard thing. Weird... My neighbor tryed to do that to her schnauz... but missed the look by like a mile... lol. It was sure amuzing though!
Many breeds with hair covering there face have very sensitive eyes, thats why its a must not to cut it...a trim is fine but to remove it all is cruel for the breed. Schaunzers, Kerry Blue Terriers and Airedales etc all have beards. I don't know the reason for that but I think its cute to see it brushed down :D
 3.
Okay, I'll try that! thanks! :D Or maybe I should get Coal one of these!!... Sorry, couldn't resist!
LOL You could try that, glad to hear Coal is learning very quickly
 4.
Debbie It really really disgusts me :x Its sickening
I got logged out. The post above is mine
 5.
The cat story is cute! People really need to nueter/spay thier pets! I talked to my cuzin about taking him to the vets, where they would clip him and groom him and Etc..She said it was too expensive!
Casper our black and white male is the one who fought him off....he hated that cat. He was always picking on the eldest male of our's Merlin  I think they are all best of friends since the owners had him neutered :) Merlin my tabby lying next to Charlie in the garden. Its freaks me out when people have pets and say (I can't have this or that done, its too expensive) :x Why have pets then if they can't be bothered to spend a bit of money on them. They should be ashamed of themselves. Would they treat there children like that (No they would not) and what short life dogs and cats have I think its worth pampering and making them happy!
 6.
Ben i such a strange dog. When he sees that I'm upset or sad he always starts to do the "cute-baby-tricks". So he looks at me and makes SURE I look, then he starts chaseing his tail like a whirlwind, fall on one side and start rolling on his back while barking like a puppy then suddenly stop and look at the tail, bark at it and get up, then he starts throwing his head from one side to another so his ears make this "floppy" -sound and chase the tail again for a while. When I've started laughing, he comes to me with his tail wagging and looks like me with thoose eyes of his that say: "Did I make you feel better?" :D Where would I be without that precious doggy? /Crest
Crested. Ben sounds like a lot of fun hun :D Hope you hear some news very soon about your little girl pup! We all have our fingers and paws crossed for you here...including the cats  *~Hugs~*
 7.
We have had Stewie for about a month now. He and Mary get along famously. Not sure how much of a problem this is but want to know if there is something I should do. Mary gets very upset if she is seperated from him. I used to take her to daycare once a week. Last time she went she sat at the door and cried. As soon as she got home to Stewie she was very happy and fine. The last two times I have taken her to agility class she has almost refused to perform. She tries to refuse but knows better and does it but you can tell it is under protest. It is impacting her training. Last night I took Stewie to the pet store to a yappy hour for a little socialization. He did wonderfully and had a great time, but Mary was a nervous wreck the whole time we were gone. Is this a type of seperation anxiety? Is there something I should do? It is very sweet and endearing that she loves him so very much but I am concerned this behavior could develop into something.....???? What do you think? Anyone have similar experience? Will it get better as he gets older? Does she think he is her puppy?
Mary. Do your dogs sleep in the same room and play together a lot ? It sounds like they don't have much time apart. This can be difficult for the other dog if the one is out of site! Would it be possible for you or someone else to take Mary to the yappy hour ? encourage her to socialize with other dogs. You really need to do this soon as the more she is with Stewie the harder it is going to be for her as well has for Stewie...dogs who are always together form a bond very quickly and when the other is not there some can pine terribly, which is not good for them. There is going to be a time when one of them won't be around and the other is going to be very sad and hurt. It is lovely to see dogs playing together and being best of friends but there comes a time where it as to stop for the dogs sake. I suppose some dogs can be together all there life without a problem...I wouldn't know, all my dogs sleep in seperate rooms, but in your case it looks like a problem could develop :) If possible (Mary is fine on her own) without Stewie at the socializing class, try and give each of them lots of attention on there own.....get someone to play with Stewie while you with Mary....take them long walks....you go one way your friend the other.....but without Mary seeing him. Try and do this as often has you can and keep paying her lots of attention. Go to a busy place if you have to.....but try to keep her mind off Stewie. It might take some time and patience but work hard at it.....don't give up and you may see a different in Mary :D

 12. Dogs are our healers :D they are always there for you at happy and sad times. Charlie sticks to me like glue...hes the only one that does really. Penny and Patch would rather play or sleep...well Patch will he's 14 years old so he sleeps alot!
 13. That poodle making looks very easy but I bet its tricky :-? LOL Thanks for the link bk :)
 14. BentleysMom how are you hun ?
 15.
Dogpaddle, Indy is the same. I feel like I am being mean and neglecting him by having him just sleep on the tiles, but it's all he wants to do
I know how you feel Malamum. It can't be good for them wanting to lay on hard floor but if they are happier we can't do much :-? The only time Charlie is on soft bedding is when he's crated, which isn't often.....usually if the weather is warm, the floor is his spot as its cool but at nighttime or when he has to be left....I put a fan on for him near his crate!!
 16. Crested. I wish you LUCK and still keeping my fingers crossed for you hun  I hope you do get your pup :D 8 to 10 weeks isn't long to wait if you don't :)
 17. Hi Marble. I think most of us have the same problem with our dogs when we walk them. I do with Charlie (Bullmastiff) but not the other two....they couldn't careless!! Charlie is 9 stone heavy in weight.....pure muscle so you can immagine what its like trying to hold him back when he see's another dog or person. He doesn't raise his hackles though, he just gets excited and wants to play but the owner of the dog looks at him as if he's going to eat there dog...and we get funny looks!! He is walked on a halter, which is supposed to prevent pulling.....not Charlie lol...he will pull and pull regardless of the halter rising up his face! The lead is attached to his collar, a precaution should it unclip the halter!!
 18.
Sigh... I guess it's just guna take a while. Plus he usually sleeps on my bed (I know, I know  but he SCREAMS otherwise!) and he only peed on my bed ONCE! :o Put my foot in it, twice... it was just gross... had to scrub my matress and wash my sheets and blankets, oh it was so gross.. It's REALLY hard to keep him in the crate at night because he just SCREAMS and everyone gets mad at ME because their trying to sleep! :-?
Haaaa your being too soft with him....you need to be firm at times and let him know he's at the bottom and you top, otherwise he will always get his own way! When he screams ignore him but give him a toy to play with once he has stopped screaming, so he doesn't see you giving him the toy for being noisy (see what I mean).....encourage him to play with his toys only when he is quiet. You can do this when he is about to jump on your bed as well, so he can see the toy is more fun! When in his crate make sure he as plenty of toys so that he doesn't get bored....throw in a couple of treats for him too. Put a radio on to comfort him so he doesn't feel lonely and make sure that he sleeps at one end of the crate....the other end should be for his use, must he relieve himself in the night with newspaper down.
 19. Hazel sorry to hear about your Grandfather hun, hope he gets well very soon :) *~Hugs~*

 21.
I'd like to build a house and barn.
LOL I love to hear this mentioned in childrens dreams, so sweet  I think we have all said it

 23. Lisa no problem hun :) It can be confusing when more than one subject comes up in the post. I should be opoligising really
 24. Malamum. Awwww poor baby :( Patch my Westie had that problem with his skin... (might be 2 different things) the vet said it could have been a flea allergy...we have cats you see. His fur didn't need to be shaved, near his rear end by the tail he had gone bald, his skin looked really sore and scabby....not suprised really, he kept rubbing his back against anything he could find! He was treated by the vet but it didn't stop him from trying to scratch it...poor guy, he looked really sad and sorry for himself!! We had to wrap a piece of old sheet around it which looked like he was wearing a nappy, to try and prevent him from rubbing....the cream and antibiotics helped and in no time it started to dry up and his fur grew back!! Hope your babies skin and fur heals up soon :)
 25. Hazel. How old is Coal ? Try not to yell at him when he does wrong....instead take him outside to his spot. Yelling will frighten him rather than help his training which could make matters worse...use the command NO when you catch him in the act..that is all you need to use!! Only say his name when he as done well so he doesnt get confused between bad and the good! After each sleep, meal and play let him outside so he knows when to do his business....this will encourage him to go and then he will soon start to let you know when he wants out. A lot of patience and encouragement is needed at this time, especially as some pups are slower than others to learn
