I have a question for all the pom owners here. Does anyones pom always get poop on their butt after "doing their buisness"? Its not a plesant topic, but Conner is always having this problem, and I was wondering if anyone ever had to deal with this, and if so, how? I've heard you should trim their hair, but that doesn't help him at all. It seems like he needs his bottom washed everyday, and I don't think thats normal.

Poodle Billy Bob! I swear, that there is a Poodle! :drinking:

Some people just don't want to listen. Theres nothing you can do about them, sadly. At least you tried DP...
-
...It happens everyday...

Morons like that should be shoved in cages themselves...close enough to an animal...

I'm definetly with Kat. Cropping is unnecessary and cruel, IMO.
-
Like rotten said, if he barks all the time, continuously, then you should probably do something about it. If not, and he doesn't bother you, I don't see the problem.

Yes, I much prefer the natural ears as well.

There are balls you can buy which you can put treats into. My pups love them. Keeps them intertained for hours. Nylabone also has some flavored bones available. If Qwill doesn't chew things up too easily (don't want him to digest a bunch of the stuff), than those would probably work for him.

Hopefully he learned his lesson...

I'd never consider it...at least not on a dog. There are so many pups out there needing homes, I just wouldn't feel right creating another. I was talking to my mom about this earlier, and she said if she had the money, she would do it. :o I was quite shocked, because just a week or so ago I asked her about it, and she rolled her eyes and said something like, "people are weird". Than here she is, saying she'd clone. I think it has alot to do with Takona (her dog), slowing down, and acting tired all of the time. She realises she's getting old, and she doesn't waqnt to loose her. I guess that makes some sense...

I'm coloring my Pit Bull pink.

Sad dogs have to get into situations like that... I have a "friend" (more like ememy I try to educate), over the internet that might be getting a Schnauzer here soon. She knows absolutley nothing about the breed, found the breeder in a magizine, and is one of those people that will be tired of it in a month. First she loved Rotties, than it was Poms, because she thought Conner was "so cute", and then corgis. And now "shunzars" as she calls them, because her grandmother has one. Argh, I wish she could at least learn to spell the name of her "favorite breed" right. :x I'm disgusted by people like that, but what can you do. :( Its just sad dogs have to suffer because of the stupidity of people, it really, really is. I will have to admit though, I'm thinking about dying Conner after seeing those pictures. I'm going to do some research on it, as long as its safe, I don't see any harm in him being blue for awhile... -
Cinco made pet of the week!

Yay for Cinco!! :D -
Gah, and this guys is still your friend?

I thought you said "cloning a puppy" at the end for a second... Luckily none of my dogs have ever needed to be "coned". Conner will eat anything, so I don't think one of those on him would last too long...
-
No, I never know when he needs to go out. My mom & dad also take him out, so I have no clue when he has gone out, or when he needs to go out. :-?
-
Ok, Conner's problem with coming is cured-he stays on a chain while hes outside. But now.... I have a different problem. The little guy still isn't housebroken! He pees on the floor at least once a day, and since he doesn't whine at the door, I never know when he needs to go out. I've gotten advice that using a bell is a good idea, but Conner is the type of dog that takes advantage of things, I teach him to ring a bell, thats all you'll ever hear. So, are there any other ways to housebreak him? Anyone ever had this problem before?
-
:o My god, whats wrong with that guy? I couldn't bring myself to disect a dead frog, let alone a live dog. That is just sick, that damn teacher should be charged with animal crulety.

Just looked at Con's food situation, he has quite a bit left. So it'll probably be awhile until I get him the new food anyhow. I'll make sure I mix it at first, don't want to upset his system, but I'm going to wait a week or so before I get it. (We're at Pet zoo every to every-other week, so I won't worry about calling.)
-
Conner needs to eat more of his food, hes been turning his nose up at it lately. So I think I'll try out Wellness. Its a good food, might as well see if he likes it. :)
-
I go to Petzoo all the time, and didn't even realise they sold those foods. :o It looks like its between Wellness & Innova. I know that "meals" in the food aren't very good, but thats about all I know. Which one is better, or are they about the same? Oh, and thank you so much DogPaddle for posting all the stores! :D
-
Uh ohhh...it gives them more energy? Heh, I don't think Conner needs that! I've heard of Innova, but I don't think its sold anywhere in the state. Same goes for the Eagle Pack. I'll do a search, see what I can find. Some store somewhere has got to sell some decent food!

Yuck. Some people seriously disgust me.
