1. I have raised my niece since she was a baby and frankly it's really hard for me to understand how you lose sight of your child expect in the case of the guest with two children around that age obviously you can't look two different ways at the same time. You have to always be on guard there is no rest until they are safely somewhere where you can go about your business without worrying. I never lost sight of her unless another adult was watching her or I put her in a safe place.
2. No I don't think anyone is going to think your insane. I too don't have a problem with stuff like that but hate the idea of human hair on my food. Which is weird because most people I think shower everyday(at least in my house they do I don't know about restaraunt employees) yet the dog spends a awful lot of time rolling around in things that are questionable. He never made a sound, didn't complain at all, but the next day he couldn't move his arm. I took him to the doctor and his elbow was dislocated .
Oh for heavens sake I think that stopping him from falling on the what I imagine were concrete stairs was a better choice. What a dip. My brother was 4 when he broke his arm and didn't complain about it until the next day. My mom couldn't believe he had a broken arm for a whole day without even crying. Kids are something.
I think the doctor did the RIGHT THING. Maybe not to abuse HF but to assume the worst. Child abuse is horrifically not uncommon and it really puts doctors, teachers and other people who work with children in awkward positions (especially in my state where we have mandatory reporting). Who knows how many cases they have missed because they assumed people were telling them the truth about children's injuries, or how many cases they picked up because they were more probing than considered polite. BK has collided with my face quite a few times (I bend down, he jumps up) and he's caused me to bleed once (tooth punctured my lip a few yrs ago) but he doesn't have a nasty bone in his body and anyone who knows him knows that. :)
Well I know that it's the response when she said she was keeping him from falling and he says "you never treat a child like that" as if what she said was so terrible. Whether he believed her or not is a different story.
4. Wow that is fantastic what a wonderful dog.

6. I wouldn't believe what the owners said. Was he even there how does he know what the child did? I don't blame children or dogs for this sort of behavior. If a child is not taught they are no more responsible then the dog. Anyway since no one was there then there is no way to know what happended for all we know the child thought he was protecting himself by throwing the rocks at the dog. I don't agree with blaming and not feeling sorry for a 6 year old boy. It's the adults in this situation who are responsible.
7. Purebred or not purebred is not the point. The point is that we have an overpopulation problem so by buying a dog instead of adopting a dog you are contributing to the overpopulation problem by encouraging back yard breeders. I have nothing against mixes they are fine dogs and plenty of those fine dogs are waiting for you at your local shelter or rescue along with a lot of those purebreds.
8. I do hope everyone would adopt from shelters or a responsible breeder if you can find one. There is not a breed out there that doesn't show up in the shelters eventually and buying from petstores and back yard breeders is just encouraging irresponsible breeding.
9. I know you feel bad about the doctors but they don't know you and have to be sure they are just trying to protect your son. This might sound odd but when my niece Samantha was 5 she had a bit of a fear of the public toilets because they were so loud so when she flushed the toilet she would jump up really quick. Well we were at Mcdonalds and she flushed the toilet but didn't notice that the changing table was down right across from the toilet. So when she jumped up she rammed her face right into it and it left a big bruise right under her eye. We went to the emergency room and the questions they were asking her and us were very difficult because I got the impression they were fishing around to see if we actually hit her to make that bruise. It's very humiliating but after it was over I realized they just want to make sure Samantha is alright.
10. Well I can see from your signature you sure do have a full house. I never see any puppies roaming around. I did see a dead dog on the side of the road on the freeway and wondered what idiot managed to loose their beautiful dog. It's probably best to find a new owner I can't imagine my puppy getting out it's just not possible I watch him every second of the day and if I can't he is in his crate.
11. Now if you should run into a Labradoodle at a shelter I am sure these are good dogs but it's the buying them from these designer breeders that the problem is. If you buy from them it encourages them to continue to breed when there is such a horrible overpopulation problem.

13. What a great picture. I love My little Manny I went there a lot when Angel was a puppy.
14. What a minute you said the dog was teething? How old was this dog? If it was teething then he is just a puppy. Did you even try to take him to have him trained?
15. Oh geez I am all for respecting your elders but this guy sounds like he is just a pain and you shouldn't have to put up with his ignorant comments. My grandmother lives with me and has Alzheimers she has a 3 year old chihuahua and my Aunt asked me if I was going to get rid of her when grandma passed away. I am not good at speaking up to my family members because we have to live with them on holidays and such but I was shocked and angry that she would think I would not keep Angel just because grandma died that is just so idiotic. Grandma loves that little dog what kind of a person would I be if I didn't take care of the dog she loved so much and wanted to care for.
16. Was those panties were no good they didn't cover up anything he looks like he belongs in PlayDog!!
17. This was a great idea I love seeing all these pictures of the dogs dressed up. I think Primrose is right Cheekymunky your abusing your dog your making him wear 80's clothing styles. I am calling the SPCA!! :P Here's Toto celebrating New Years eve.
18. I know this whole thing is fake and who knows perhaps it was primrose herself who make the thread because there wasn't enough controversy going on. But I still want to comment on the constant talk about pit bulls being dog aggressive. Yes they can be but they aren't the only dog that is, all terriers are likely to be dog aggressive. Heck I have one myself. I have worked really hard to get it under control but on occasion it still can be a problem. But simply because he only weighs 20lbs everyone dismisses it. You would be surprised how big this little terrier's teeth are and how much damage he could do if he wanted too. I also see the difference between Toto's dog aggression and people aggression. He would never dream of hurting a person he loves people. The two aggressions are not the same. I understand that Pit bulls are bigger and stronger so there is more responsibility but at the same time pits are not an anomaly there are tons of terriers if not all of them that are more prone to be dog aggressive then the average dog. Just yesterday I was holding my breath as two large pit bulls came into the vet's office and my dog is sitting there. They go to see each other and I am scared to death Toto will decide that he is not going to pay attention to the training and start something that I know he could not finish. Thank God all were very well behaved. I guess my point is why are you so obsessed with pit bulls as if they are the only dog out there that ever has a problem.

20. Judge Wopner always gave them the monetary value of the dog but said legally he couldn't give pain and suffering for a dog. I assume that would also be for the pain of losing a dog. I must admit I am a bit taken aback by you mentioning the monetary value of your dog first also. I think what makes a difference is not the location but whether there is a leash law and if your dog was off leash and so was the other dog in that case you are responsible 50/50. If the other dog was off leash and as horse feathers said your dog wandered into the other dog's yard then it's all your fault and finally if the other dog wandered into your yard then the owner of the other dog is at fault. I watch enough court t.v. to figure out how it would come out.
21. Oh too cute I am dying!!
22. I don't really get stupid questions just curious questions like what kind of dog is that? And is that a scottie? or Is that a snauzer? Where can I get one of those? Do you have any puppies? I do get sick of hearing look it's Toto are you Dorothy? That one I could do without. :-?
23. Oh my God that is so sick. You would have to pry my dog out of my dead fingers I can't even believe that. How was the dog with other people? Was it just her or everytime he took the dog out? Was it only women or did he become aggressive towards all people?
24. I called my neighbors dog an ass after her broke part of the fence out does that count?
25. What a beauty!!! Hazel nutmeg try to think of all the not so pleasant parts of puppyhood like the crying in the crate and having accidents on the carpet, the puppy biting, etc. Well if you anything like me it didn't stop me either I still went out and adopted Shadow. :D Were no help are we.
