give us more info. Do U want a big dog or little one. Mixed are pure bred? What kinda likestyle do U have? Would U have the time for an active dog like a border collie? Would U rather have a more laid back type dog? Are U going to be doing any sports with the dog? Do some research on the different groups of dogs, like the toy group, herding group, sporting group, ect., ect. Do lots of research and find a dog that fits your lifestyle. Good luck! :D

At our local stream, the current can get fast, and it creates ripples. Abby bites at the ripples and then when she gets a mouthful of water she just sorta stares at the ripples then starts biting at them again. :o :lol: I'd luv to see what she'd do to waves at the beach. :wink:

Thanks for your replies everyone! :) I'm going to get Abby microchipped as soon as I can call the vet and see how much it is. Is there different kinds of chips? Which do U think is best? I want to make sure I get the one that would be most effective if my dog gets lost. 8)

That's horrible! I had never heard of Inky either! :cry: :cry: :cry: The human race can be so evil! :evil: I can't believe someone would do that to a dog that gave them another chance to live life like normal people. :evil: :evil: Some how these cases aren't suprising me anymore. :( What does that say about how cruel we are becoming. :cry:

I taught Abby how to smile, when I noticed that if I brought one of her toys in front of her nose, her lips would go back and she'd show her teeth before grabbing the toy. So I worked from that behavior... and made it a command! It's very cute. Try playing with your dog for awhile with some sort of toy. Then sit your pup down( U might need someone to hold her back) and bring the toy close to her nose but don't let her have it. Eventually she [u]might[/u] show her teeth. If she does say "good smile" and give her the toy. It takes a while to train but it's a neat trick! :wink: If your pup doesn't get the idea, that's ok. Don't make sessions very long or your pup might think your teasing her. Short and fun is best.

Cool! :o I can't get Abby to even go after the frisbee, much less catch it in mid-air! U should post some pics of your pup showing off her stuff. I do agility with Abby. It's a ton of fun! :)

Abby is also very dominant. It can be a problem in making freinds. :(

We used to be allowed to go where ever we wanted to online at school, but now they've changed the rules. It totally sucks! :-? When I get home from shool I have tons of posts to check.

I know how U feel... rescues are tough. I'm sorry to hear that U didn't get your pup :( I never feel scared walking Abby at night. :wink: I've trained her to 'smile' which means for her to show her teeth. It's cute until someone thinks she's really upset. :wink: It's not to late to socailise your pup! :) go out and meet some new people and dogs.
