They usually do the air show every year for the Naval Academy graduation. I love it! I was on my back deck and got to actually video tape alot of it. When they flew over the house, they were so low you could read the bottom of the jet. It was totally awesome. Tomorrow is supposed to be the actual show, but they are calling for rain. :(

They actually do pretty well with loud noises. They may lift their head when they hear a noise if they are asleep, but that's about it. The noises today were driving them crazy!!! And today was just the Blue ANgels practice....tommorow is the actual show!!! So we get to go through it all again. :roll:

we have that every july 4th with all the fireworks. my husband and I usually plan on staying up late that night with all the dogs howling and yapping. :)

I live really, really close to the U.S. Naval Academy and this friday is their graduation. Well, every year they get the Blue Angels to fly over the academy and today was their practice day and they were flying so close to my house. Well, the dogs were running in and out of the house trying to figure out what was going on!! The look on my girls faces was priceless!!! And everytime I would try to get a pic of them, they were already gone and outside. The noise the jets made when they flew over my house was sooo loud, it actually shook the house!! They are so awesome, though......

But, yeah. Most average sized dogs will do pretty good in an apartment if excercised enough.

I think a sheltie would do fine in an apartment. OMG, I live really, really close to the U.S. Naval Academy and their graduation is this friday. My sheltie is bigger then an average sheltie. They can average about 13 to 16 inches and can weigh anywhere from 15 to 25 lbs. They do shed alot and need to be brushed pretty frequently. And they can be barkers.

I grew up with collies, which I still would LOVE to have. We also had at least one cat running around. I do remember having a few mixed breeds around, which my parents still have along with, of course, a sheltie. :)
