Excellent story!! I love reading things like that. -
Do your dogs have a favourite blanket, bed etc.
sheltielover replied to marion's topic in Everything about dogs
She will lay and suck on that nasty blankie for a long time....and will use her paws to knead at it at the same time. It's just too funny. But I will definately keep the old blankie. -

Excellent pic, marion! My dogs each have their own dog bed, but of course they would rather sleep in bed with mommy and daddy. Licky has a blankie that she just absolutely loves! She will suck on it for awhile, then eventually fall asleep. Here she is with her blankie: She is going to be getting a new one this year. That one has been sucked on and washed so much it's falling apart! -
 Sorry, K.

They come in handy when they get filthly during the winter and can't get a bath. And they smell so nice, too!

I usually don't bathe Honey too many times a year. I use the dog bath wipes and they work pretty good for her. But with summer coming and with her shedding so much, I usually bathe her twice during the summer, unless, like you said Lisa, she get's filthy. I'm going to use the johnson & johnsons baby shampoo. Thank you all so much!! :)

I think i'm going to use the baby shampoo. But I am also going to check into the tea tree shampoo. Thank you all for your help!!!

Please, please post pic's when you get him!! :)

When I first got my sheltie Honey, she was terrible with taking stuff. I was still living at home, and my dad came in the house with of all things, my BRA!! Honey had taken it and left it in the back yard!!! Now, we have a problem with both of them chewing holes in the sheets after my husband and I, um......you know.

My sheltie LOVES to lick!!!! Especially my husbands feet! Actually, she will lick any exposed skin she can find.

Well, like I said, i'm not totally sure if it can happen or not. Maybe give the vet a buzz tomorrow? If it was something that you passed to him, he knows you didn't do it intentionally. Just like if you got it from him, you know he didn't do that intentionally. It just sounds like something that is going around, and there probably wasn't much you could do to avoid it. Hope you and Ben feel better soon. :)

Awww. I am sorry your not feeling well now. I'm not totally sure about animals and humans sharing germs, but I do know that my nephew got a touch of bronchitis and he lives with my parents. Well, my parents dog started coughing pretty bad and they took him to the vet....he caught what my nephew had!!! Not sure if that helps any, but I sure do hope you feel better real soon.

What would be the best shampoo to use on my sheltie? I brush her at least once a day, especially now that she is shedding. I'd like to find a shampoo that will condition her coat and help keep it manageable. Any help would be greatly appreciated. :)
