this post really interests me as at the moment i`m debating whether or not to take Barney my 3yrs old JRT (male) to have the "snip" . As latley he constantly follows my male yorkie terrier called Joe around (which Joe is getting sick of and so am i) and trying to mount him :o I dont think he`s doing it to be dominat as that`s never been an issue between them and because he also tries to mount my pet rabbits when their out playing (male or female) :o and he tries to mount my leg when the fancy takes him :o , so i think it`s sexual frustration! As well as that just latley Barney has started to get a bit too bossy and a bit snappy! Not aggressive though. I have 3 males including barney and one female. The others apart from Barney have been "done", the only reason Barney hasn`t is because as a very young pup he was attacked by another dog, and due to his severe injuries nearly died and spent about 4 weeks staying at the vets. Because he went through so much then, i have been reluctant to have him "done" as i didn`t want him to go through any more operations etc, unless it was absolutley nesseccary. :( what do you guys think?

my Ben (who`s now gone to the rainbow bridge) also used to bark when he heard the ice-cream truck, but this is because the ice-cream man always used to save the broken cornets for him and put ice cream in them for him, so as soon as he heard the ice-cream truck he knew that ice-cream was waiting for him :angel: Bronwin (who`s also gone to the rainbow bridge) used to be obsessed with watching the t.v. as soon as we`d come downstairs in the morning she`d pace back and forth from the t.v to us, until one of us switched it on for her :lol: There is a kids programme here called "teletubbies", on that programme was a hill with rabbits running around on it, and all you could here while that was on was her whineing and the clonking of her teeth on the t.v. as she tried to catch the rabbits :roll: , the t.v. would be covered in drool :-? . Also we have a t.v programme called "coronation street", it is a soap. At the end there is music (a bit like a brass band) and Bronwin used to sing alond to it :lol: Joe, my yorkie terrier barks like crazy and rushes to the front door every time he hears a doorbell ring on t.v., but the best part is we don`t even have a doorbell :o

well i admit to the gross foot licking thing!!! shaddow (my lurcher cross), and laylah (my new rottie), both whine at me until i let them give me a foot massage!!! :roll: (actually i know it sounds gros but i like it...lol). I also give all four of my dogs massages and they absolutley love them, i too lrt them all cover me with slobbery kisses, give bellies a good scratch and on the chest`s too and all four of them really like the bit scratched where the back ends and the tail begins!! :roll: My JRT called barney sleeps under the covers in my bed, shaddow sleeps with my middle daughter, joe my yorkie terrier sleeps on my sons bed or on myeldest daughters bed and the new comer to the family laylah doesn`t really like to sleep on the beds as she gets too hot but has claimed the comfy armchair in the lounge as her bed at night time with her blanket all snuggled up. All four of them have a huge pile of toys which i can`t resist adding to every time i go shopping on a Tuesday! :roll: Every day i take all four of them for an hour and a half long walk across fields and dykes (as we live in the countryside), and because we never see another living soul during this walk they all get to be let off the lead for the whole walk having fun playing in the the little rivers and getting all muddy and wet, and running free accross the fields...it`s lovley. Fortunatley they all have good re-call if need be. :D one of shaddow`s favorite things is lovley big bubble bath`s, he`s always stealing mine :roll: , so now he has one of his own when he feels like it :lol: They all adore being brushed, but shaddow lets me know if i`ve forgotten as he brings me the brush to remind me :lol: Theyalso get special little dinners of their own that i make them as well as their usual, and last but not least they get tons of hugs, kissess, cuddles and love. :iloveyou:
