So i`ve had an idea :PROXY5: , if you`d like to see the pic i could e-mail it to one of you and then you could put it up on the board for me then everyone could see her! what do you think?
  7. I`ve got pics via e-mail, but being new to computer stuff i don`t know how to post them on the board for you all to see :( can someone help me please :help1: :grins: [/img]
  8. thanks you everyone for your encouragment, i have now made THE DECISION :o YES, YES, YES, im going to bring my baby home :iloveyou: YIPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE :laola: :laola:  i`ve been talking to the man from the rescue centre today and "yes" she is officially mine as from today :D We are just arranging with the man which day will be best, but it will definatley be before the weekend............IM SO EXCITED.....I CANT WAIT. i`ve been sent some pics of her via e-mail today and she`s gorgeous, a real sweetie :iloveyou: . i want to show them to you all but being a newbie to all this computer stuff i don`t know how to do it
  9. i`d have to say ..no i wouldn`t want to live forever, coz i really need to see my babies again, who are waiting for me at the rainbow bridge, but it would be nicer if we could live a bit longer than we already do  , as long as i knew for sure the world wasn`t going to suddenly end horribly. :o
  10. they sure do......................... im so pleased for you :banan:, it must be a relief.
  11. i completley agree with you on this one, it`s a brilliant idea and it would be excellent for the government to fund this idea and also change the laws so that they did get punished if they dumped their pet, but it`s true there is so much of "their only animals" syndrome around that they wont bother to do it  It`s so frustrating and such a shame :( , as i think doing this is one of the only ways that could work to stamp this evil crime out
  12. thanks courtnek, i`ve asked about thr posibility of returning her if they really hate each other and i`d tried everything to help them get along , and given them enough time to get used to each other. There`s no problem about returning her but it would mean an 8 hour trip again, so i`d have to be pretty derparate to want to return her. But at least i know that options there. As she`s only a puppy the chances of them not getting along are slim....i think? :D
  13. thanks guys that`s just what i needed to hear, bless you both  guess what? im going to see the rottie im going to see the rottie YIPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE :kciuki: :banan: THE ONLY THING IM WORRIED ABOUT IS WILL SHE GET ON WITH MY BOYS, THEY`VE BEEN "DONE", SO THAT PART`S NOT A PROBLEM. But i can`t take my boy dogs on the 8 hour all round trip with me to see her! So if she`s fit and well and i think she`s ok, i`ll have to bring her home without my boys meeting her first. My boys get on with any dog i`ve ever brought into the house so it`s not their attitude towards her im worried about, it`s her towards them, ........what do you think? :confused1:
  14. sorry about the long space at the top :o , i don`tknow what happened there
  15. A I have been offered the chance to adopt a 9 month old female rottie, who is in desperate need of a home due to a family break up. I already have 3 dogs (two were rescue). Apparently she has a really placid nature and a very soft, sweet personality. She has lived her short little life in a family home that has very young children(younger than mine!), and a cat, which is good as i have 3 children ages 5, 8 & 13, and two cats. I will have a four hour drive to pick her up from where she is now, and a four hour drive back which i don`t mind. Also at our house there is always someone home so she`d get the love that he deserves`s all day, everyday like my other dogs do. I`ve also made enquiries at our local dog training school (where i`ve been in the past with some of my other dogs), and the man that runs it said there`s a space for us in his obedience class and dog socialising class, which she and i would go to together if i go and get her. My husband, kids and myself have all talked about it for the last few days, and they all want to get her, as we used to have a female rottie, she was also a rescue and she lived as a happy little family with my other dogs until sadly at the age of 14 she went to the rainbow bridge, and we`ve all missed her terribly. I too want to go and bring her home...but im still thinking about it! What do you guys think? ............help me please...lol!!
  16. What a pair of cute, hansome boys you have :iloveyou:
  17. i like your idea about "chipping" Courtnek, at least we`d be able to track the scum that dump`s their dog. I too have lost two of my dogs, 1 fought a brain tumour very bravley until he went to "the bridge" he was called Ben, and my second was my rotty called "bronwin" who "fell asleep" in her bed at the age of 14 and went to meet Ben at "the bridge". When i think of those people who just throw their dogs away like yesterdays garbage, makes me sick to my stomach and soooooooooo angry!!! But like mouseatthebusstop said even if the dogs were chipped the scumbags would still make up an excuse like "i sold that dog ages ago", or some lie like that!!
  18. sorry it didn`t work out again, hopefully one of these one`s will :D . i think the off territory meeting is an excellent idea :kciuki: let us know how the next meetings go :D good luck :Fade-color
