[b] well lets ban pit bulls then a different dog bites some one so we ban them. were will it end. pit bulls are not the only dog to attack some one. i dont own a pitbull but i have a freind who has 2. and belive me they are far freindlier than my rottie.were will it end.all dogs have a certain amount of nastiness.so lets ban then all then we will all be safe. :evil: :evil: i love my dogs and do my best when anyone comes here or when i take them out that others are safe.thats what we all have to do. we choose what breed of dog we like i dont like all breeds but for goodness sake at least give the owners of the pitbull a chance.just because a few bite dosent mean the hole breed is the same :evil: so come on leave the poor breed alone a bit it getting boring. i'm on the pitbull side i'm afraid if that was bad people which lets fave it theres enogh of them out there we dont ban the breed do we.GIVE THEM A CHANCE.[/b]

my freind will not go into any house were a dog is now. when she gose to do some ones hair they all have to put the dogs out or in another room. the people who owned the dog that bite her didnt try and find out why,they just took him and had him put to sleep.now that is the question i'm not sure that would have been my frist respones.yes i would have gone to a vet and talk about it and yes i would have had the dog checked over.but they didn't. was there frist respose the right one,i,m not sure really what i would have done.her arm had to have stichers but she onlt trust her own dog now.which lets face it there has to be some thing wrong for a dog to just get up and attack from behind??

[b] a freind of mine is a mobile hairdressers, any way she has been going to this persons house for some years now and they have a lab. my freind went into the house made a fuss of the dog as always, did the ladies hair then she turned round to leave, and the dog just got up and attack her from behind and took a chunk out of my freinds arm. now she as been going there since the dog was a pup and no one knows what made him do it. she ended up at the hospital and the people decided to have the dog put down.it just gose to show you what can happen at any time with a dog of any breed. i,m not really sure what i would have done in that situation.but the owners of the dog felt it was only right as how would they ever trust the dog again.i just thought i would share this with you to show it can happen to any of our dogs big small at any time.[/b]

[b] Well i must say some of you have given me some ideas for how to name my next pup, havent got it yet but am thinking about haveing another one, so thank you[/b]

Well i have a jr called billy, who thinks he is the andrex dog. when ever the toilet door is left open he gose in and grabs the toilet roll runs down stairs with it in is mouth.i must admit i find it quite funny :lol: but my partner dosent,he just moans about how much the toilet roll costs :cry: . still i must admit i always thought an andrex dog dose it better than billy dose :o i have to laugh because i keep telling him hes a jr not a lab :P still one day he may just realise it and then it will cost me less in toilet roll :lol: [/b]

Thank you for that informaion roo,but i do like to read up on what i can. i find some of the different complaints other people have in different countries very intresting, and then if we ever come across it i know what to look out for. [b]but thanks again roo because i hadnt ever heard of it.[/b]

[b] i am sorry but i have never heard of heart worm, i have some great books on dogs health so later i am going to look it up. i know dogs get worms and we treat our dogs every 6mths. [/b]

[color=darkblue][/color][b] i was just sitting here wondering how people choose there dogs name :roll: you see when we recured rockie he already had a name, then even though billy is a pup they had also named him. because billy came to is name we decied to keep it.so we never had the fun of naming them. :-? so i was just wondering how some of you went about naming your dogs or was they already named like hows.[/b]

[color=darkblue][/color][b] we took aour old dog on a fishing trip .we hired a boat for the week.any way we were there having a good time as you dowith the dog lying next me. then my husband shouted caught one the dog jumped up to see what was going on and fell in the water. any way being old he could hardly swim so i went in after him :lol: . we got him out and has my father inlaw was with us he just sat reading the paper and told us not to be so stupid :lol: until he saw i was as wet as the dog :lol: [/b]

well that brought tears to my eyes, we rescured a dog and it took us a long time to get him in shape.i cant understand people takeing the trouble to buy them and then just dump them.the people nxt door to me do that kind of thing, last xmas they brought a lab puppy, it was lovely. a few months later we never saw it again.what makes these people tick i dont know i'msure i dont.

we have 2 dogs, one a rottie and a jack russel, the rottie is 7 yrs old and the jack russel is 16 weeks old, any way me and my son decied to bath the rottie, he was fine and then we took him out of the bath ,he ran strat for the door which was open, then he just rolled in the drit which meant we had to start all over again only this time we made sure the back door was shut.what hard work that turned out to be i can tell you :lol:

well i am sorry to say this but i have 2 dogs and they have both been done. i delive it was the right thing to do. i also have a cat and she has been done as well,my partner said he is glad he only has 2 legs or he would be in trouble as well :lol:

i have a jack russel pup and i put a teddy in with him when he went in is bascket at night and this seemed to do the trick. he still got me up at 5 oclck for is breakfast.

I rescured a rottie about 4 years ago. he was thin and he had cuts all over him, also scars were he had been beaten. he didnt know how to play or even eat out of a dish. he didnt trust anyone. even me he wouldnt let me cuddle him or nothing. any way it took a long time but one day he came over to me and gave me a kiss it was great. i also showed him how to run about and play, it took quite a while to get him to eat form a dish and eat good food. he thought he had to eat out of the bin.but now he is the most loving dog.he as just the right amount of weight on him and love to be cuddled. it cost me quite a bit of time and money to get him were he is todat but its been worth every penny. i jusy find it hard to think some people can be so cruel, after spending so much money on such a dog.
