1. I have read a lot of post's where some of you or rather quite a few of you take your dogs to obediance classes.you all seem to say it's a good idea to take your dogs there :Dog_run: I was just wondering how many of you train your dogs your selfs.I have had dogs all my life,at one time I had 8dogs all living in the house, and I have not once took any of them to obidance classes for training.I dont know if its because I always work with dog's from leaving school to when I at to pack up work but I have never really found the need. :kciuki: I'm not saying that all my dogs have been easy to train but I have always stuck at it.I now have a 5monthold and she is great for her age.I walk with two arm crutches and she walks on the side of me.Also I have to use a wheel chair some times and she walks right by the side of me,I must admit when she gets tierd she comes up on my lap  .Any way I was just wondering about it has I have read quite a lot about it. I'm not knocking it before anyone thinks I am Its just you dont seem to hear much about the ones that dont go to training thats all. :PROXY5:
2. sounds like you both had fun, glad it went well for her. :)
3. very good girl :)
4. well thats the toy for JD I spend pounds on toys for her and I havent brought one yet that as lasted longer than a day.So guess what I'm down to our pet samrt in the morning to see if they have one.JD will not have rubber toys she only like furry toys so it will be great for her.so it looks like another treat for JD tomorrow :) :) :D :D   I KNOW SHE WONT MIND.
5. My freinds dog had her pups right on time, but i'm noy really up on that part of things. All I know is some are to the day and then some go a little over ,from my time at working for a vet. Also on rare times they can be a little before time.when i was working at the vets we always gave then a little time over before we stepped in.has she been check over to see everything is ok?.Anyway good look and let us know how it gose.

7. Well here we go again firework being let of before time.my pets hate it,running all over the house not knowing were to go.  :o :o I hate it as well I think they should'nt sell them until it's firework night. How do your dogs react to the noise they make. I realise its fun for the kids and some adults but it's not much fun for the animals.Anyway everyone stay safe. :D :D .THis is Jd's frist firework experince and she dont like it one bit.So I dread to think what its going to be like on november the 5,mind you we have enough going of already.
8. well i think they both look lovely, they brought a smile to me anyway. :) :) :) :) :) .
9. Well at the moment I am really worried about her,Part of me wished i'd left well alone.Still all I can do now is nurse and love her back to her lod self. :( :( . she is being really good and taking her tablets, Well will know more on friday. She as no soreness on the outside thats really clean, but the lump has'nt gone down at all :-? :-? Thats what is worring me. Anyway we will see it has cost me
10. Hello every one. T his is an update on JD,she has been back to the vets today for her stichers out,But the vet would only take out half the stichers because of the swelling JD as got.She as got to take some tablets, and she cant go out for a walk,we have to keep her as quite as possible.Belive me thats not going to be easy with a 5mth old pup.the vet thinks she might have an infection,I told him she had been kept in and clean and he said these things happen sometimes after an op.Anyway I just thought I would let you know how she is doin.I must admit it as upset me because i hate to think of her being ill. but with all the love she will get I know she will get better.Again thank you for your surport.
11. Taurus and Jada, I wasnt being funny about the fact you were cropping the ears,I was just wondering if it matter. You have answered that by saying what you said and iI admire you for that.I myself like you love my dogs no matter what, and I understand that we all want the best for our pets. You see as with people I dont look at just the out side I also Look at whats on the inside.Plue I am totally agaisnt face lifts etc in humans ever lone dogs. But as I say I'm not agaist what you were doing, I was just wondering thats all.I hope after all the trouble you have gone to it works. So good luck and its nice to know that if it dont you will still love your dogs, going on the pic they are very loveing and sweet looking. FREINDS :D :D :D
12.  IT really gets to me ,why do some people only seem to want designer dog's .there are so many dogs out there that need good homes.
13. I to am a little confussed by your post. I dont belive in breeding a designer dog either,I thinkMEI MEI said it alL. IT TURNS MY STOMACH to think about it I dont think anyone should play around with inter breeding at all.I dont mind mixed breeds some times it cant be help but to do it to make lots of money NO WAY.I have a cross breed at the moment and i love her to bits. Also there are enough unwated dogs out there that need love and a good home as it is.
14. Posted: Sun Oct 12, 2003 11:35 am Post subject: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Iwould just like to say thank you for all the advise and surport I have had while'll my little JD has not been very well. She has her sticheres out on Monday the13/ 10.After that I am just hoping the swelling gose down.Once again thank you all its nice to know THere are so many of you that care so much. This post came of me and maybe i didnt log on but it came on as guest. and by now I hope I'm past being a guest     So again thank you all.
15. :o :o Now you have got me going mad trying to remember which one it is and what breed hope some one finds out and tells us all :P :P :P :-? :-? :-?
16. :D :D :D sounds like had a lovely time. look forward to seeing some pic.
17. Ialso think its nice the dogs reacted the way they did but I also think that the dogs should have done as they were told when you instructed them to. :o When my rottie was alive he was a very good gaurd dog,but unlike your dogs,I didnt have to lock him away when people came I just had to instruct him that it was ok when I asked people into the home. 8) .So I would surggest that you train them in a way that they do what you instruct.I would not be happy if I could not control my dogs when people visted the home.SO goog luck in training your dogs
18. Hi there, I dont knoe much about cropped ears has i have never had a dog with them, but she such a lovely thing .Is it that important for her ears to be that perfect.Do you show your dogs ect.I am just intrested because lets face it we aint all perfect are we so why should our pets if there well looked after and we love every think about them.My jd has got a funny ear but I think thats one of the things iliked about her.I'Mnot against it I just wondered why it seemed iportant the ears stay up?. :o 8)
19. just like to thank you all for your surport. She has had her op and home.Poor little thing felt so sorry for herself when she got home,She has to go back on monday the 13 for her stiches out.trouble is i am worried because she has a swelling were her stichers are. any way thanks again. :) :) :)
20. Well by now you all know I have a pup naned JD,well we also have a cat called EVE. now eve being a cat comes in by the open window as cats do.She also gose out by the open window. Now this is were JD comes in to the story.SHE sat out side and watched eve come in for her dinner,so as i'm just sitting at the pc reading the posts on here I noticed that JD decided to come in ,well the back door was wide open but oh know she couldnt come in like that. She decided if the cat can come in by the window so could she,and guess what yes you got it JD came in by the window. :o :o    so now we have to be so carefull because she wont use the back door if she can help it she just keeps trying the window. I keep telling her she's a DOG NOT A CAT. :D :) IT's a case of what the cat can do JD can do better. :P :D :D
21. OH dear poor thing, I keep my loose dog food in a plastic bin with a lid on. Hope every thing is ok now.
22. On the 2/10/03,my little baby gpse into the vets to have her oparation. She has to be there by 8:30am in the morning I know she wont be none the wiser till we get her there but me I wont sleep tonight with worry. She is always with me I take her every were I go,so I will miss her so much tomorrow. I cant fetch her unill 6pm. It will be a long day for both of us.Anyway I just thought I would tell you about it ,because I know every one on here understands, were as my family think I'M crazy. Thet say she will be ok she's only a dog for god sake.Anyway I will let you all no she's ok when she as had it and back home with me.
23. :( THE ONLY ADVISE HERE IS TO TAKE THE PUP STRAT TO THE VETS, IT DOSENT SOUND GOOD. BUT PLEASE GET VETS ADVISE QUICKLY. MAKE SURE THAT IT AT LEAST KEEPS A LITTLE WATER DOWN THATS MORE IMPORTANT THAN FOOD AT THIS STAGE. SO GO NOW OR RING A VET. LET US KNOW HOW THE POOR LITTLE THING GETS ON.GOOD LUCK :( :(
24. :) I always clean up after my dog ,But I must say how lucky I must be :) Because she hasnt done it any were other than in the yard, :) I hope it stays that way .I walk her and the min we get back she gose out into the yard and guess what, yes thats were she has done it. :) Now is that luck or just a very clean dog who know's were to use the toilet. :o :o :o
25. Has I worked for a vet for some years, I have seen them clean dogs ear's so often.and all they do really is get some cotton wool wraped round forcepts with a little warm water. So all I do is buy some cotton buds or a baby wipe and just clean the ear very carefully like that. But dont atepemt to go to far in side the ear. I have done it at work so many time's,So i do know how far to clean. So a good cotton bud with a little warm water should do the trick. good luck :) :)
