Well if you're on public assistance they do it for free. They ask for a $25 donation if you're not. I'm not so if I go I'll give the donation. I really don't know about this. Well the aspca is humane. I didn't read anything neither about what happens if heaven forbid something bad happens. I'm sure they tell you when you get there. This is worse than the time I waited for my cat's FIV results :o

I need to get Elle spayed. the aspca in NYC has a van that goes around the tri state area and they spay and neuter animals for free. It's first come first serve and I'm taking Elle this friday. I'm kind of hesitant though. We do see a difference in her, but not a bad one. She's usually extremely hyper, but now she's calm. Still lovable though (she likes hugs and kisses) I know the cat is thrilled cuz she's always rough housing him but now she is ignoring him. A bit of a good break for the cat lol :lol: Thanks again guys. It's just me, my mom, the dog, a female cat, and male cat. 4 against 1 so we all feel for Elle. :o

My 7 month old cocker spaniel just got her ahem... not so clean feeling time today. :o Im new with dogs, and I feel so bad for her :oops: Do u guys have any steps you recommend me taking in making her feel better or keeping the house clean? It was a false alarm. I'm taking her to the vet as soon as possible. :o

Elle will be 5 months in 2 weeks and this morning I found some weird colored discharge coming from her. When she got up there was a little bit of blood on the sheets. I want to buy her sanitary napkins which ones do you guys recommend. :o

This may sound silly but when my pup nips or bites i start crying like a dog. It bugs her out and she gets all curious but now the biting isn't that often. :o

It wasn't consecutive. It was like every other day. I think it's the heat. It's her first summer and I think she hates it. :o

well my mom says its white as if she's vomitting water. Last time it was food. it's only been happening when it's really hot and its happened 3 times. I just got worried. I don't give her rawhide. Right now her new chewing toy is this stick that she can chew and its meaty. :cry:

:o Elle keeps on vomitting but there are no other symptoms that I find weird. it really bothers me when I see her doing this. :oops: Is there something I may be doing now. I'm looking at her eat right now and she's scarfing down her food. Can this be why?

Dammit I knew I shouldn't have read that poem. Now I have tears in my eyes. Going to kiss my pets now...

I tried going on frontlines site but I can't get through :x Do you need a prescription from the vet to use it? Sorry about all the questions. I just don't feel comfortable letting Elle go to the park without any protection. :cry:

What methods do you guys use to prevent your dogs from getting attacked from these little critters?

Everytime I take Elle out she wants to pick things up in her mouth. I have taken dirty tissues, bottle caps, glass, plastic, rubber, sticks out of her mouth. She's so preoccupied with the things on the floor that she doesnt potty fast. My question is should I muzzle her? Is this cruel? Pardon all my questions, this is my first pup and I wanna do the right things. Thanks in advance :o

Thanks for the great advice guys. Today took her out for an hour :o She urinates pretty fast but the poopy comes later... much later. I praised her after she went number 1 and she really didn't care she just wanted to play. After an hour we passed my apt building and she wanted to go upstairs. She pooped on the 3rd floor and I had to scoop it up and mop the floor cuz no one will say I'm a bad mommy! :wink:

Elle is hyper. Especially when she's playing with my cat Shadow. She is likes to nap a lot and follows me everywhere! If I'm at the computer she's sleeping on my feet. If I'm on my bed she's there with me. She loves kids and loves the attention she gets from other people. She's just spoiled rotten.

I finally let her in the litter just to see what she wants to do in it. And she used it. :lol: I don't know if this is ok but it's cute as hell. :D

Thanks Jacsmom. Elle woke up at 5:30 this morning and I was so reluctant to get up. She pooped in the house so I got up and took her out. She took a long time to do anything so I took her upstairs. (I thought she didnt have any more poop left in her lol). We're going up the stairs but she doesn't want to go. I thought she was being silly until we got upstairs a dropped the hugest load in the kitchen. :o This time it was my fault. I'm just afraid she's never gonna learn to hold it in. :( She gets so distracted when we go outside. :cry:

I'm new to the boards so sorry if this is repetetive. I live in an apt building so there's no backyard. I kinda feel guilty about having a pup in an apt so I'm trying to make the best of the situation for her.

I have started walking Elle outside so she can do her business. Will she learn on her own in time that outside is the bathroom or do I have to do something everytime she goes outside? I tell her she's a good girl and I monitor her eating closely. So I take her out every few hours and after her naps. She's only had a few accidents inside and they were very late at night. Am I doing the right thing or will she get it eventually. :o

I know nothing about breeders, don't know any, but from watching the dog shows the people do look snotty, but U can never judge a book by it's cover :o

My dog's name is Elle. She's a 4 month old Cocker Spaniel. :D
