Suggestions. Search petfinder.com for your area. Also you can search for breed rescues for little dogs. Many Italian greyhounds are less than 10 pounds, but they're not for everyone. Hard to housetrain, prone to breaking if roughhoused with, and sensitive with respect to training. They're real snuggle-bugs, which many of us like. But they can be cloying to someone wanting a more independant animal. Two of my IGs are rescues and I adore them.
