1. JM what happened?! Did you make it home? Do you have power and happy pups yet?
2. Wow. "Officials" recognizing pets as family, I must be dreaming. I second the Amen.
3. Congrats on your new puppy! Yes what everyone else said, and to add: I'm not the expert about feeding but most everyone here I think would say, start with the highest quality kibble you can find and feed what the manufacturer recommends (or maybe a bit less; they tend to exaggerate!) I would offer a chewy toy (do you have a Petsmart or something? They could recommend something), but don't worry if he doesn't take to it. If he has the urge to chew, he will chew on anything he can and so you should provide something that it is OK to chew on (you will probably need to teach him the difference). I congratulate you on finding Dogo, the most caring dog people in the world. A little baffling that you are resoureceful enought to do this, but not knowing how to feed etc. on day 2 that you have him? Anyeay please stick around, and welcome!!! :fadein:
4. Wow, that s some great writing!
5.
BM, how many times do I have to ask nicely before he's listens? Anyway, I've been working with her daily, and good results.. No bolting so far, and she's actually starting to enjoy her pen outside. So she's doing better, and I'm holding my temper as best as I can.. Hopefully things will settle down..
I'm glad to hear it's going better. Sorry for my typical butting in. If you are polite on other (non dog-related) occassions, and of you have already tried to be polite about this one, then I understand. It seems that you would "catch more flies with honey" but it seems you have tried that.
6.

My Grandpa loves to stand with the door standing wide open when he comes in or goes out. I'm like hurry up & shut the door!! Then he say's don't tell me what to do..
OK I'm about to tell you "how to live your life" so you can stop reading right here if you can't take it. Don't talk to a grandparent like that. Basic human decency ... honor your parents, doubly so your grandparents. Period. It is not up to you to decide whether they "Deserve" it or not. I sound like an old lady but what is this world coming to?
BM, I don't actually agree. Respect needs to be earnt, just because you are old you don't automatically get it. I presonally do respect my parents and grandparents but they have earnt it and deserve it. However, if they were doing something that was endangering one of my dog's lifes and just didn't care then I would talk to them about it how I bloody well want.
Well, you have a point. Still I do think grandparents deserve some respect just by virtue of being your elders, they don't have to earn it. I see a vicious cycle here here of "kid" mouths off to gramps, he gets pissed and responds with stubbornness. I can't say that I NEVER mouthed off to my grandparents, but it never was a habit. And two of them were mighty grumpy.

8. Congratulations!!! Great feeling isn't it?
9. Oh, how bittersweet. :( At least now you know, they are being loved and they are no longer living in shelter cages ...
10. Red and Dreyfus would make the most adorable pair!!!
11. You were very brave to help Gladis ease out peacefully  Now she is happy at the bridge!
12. Mmmmmm, frsh grilled Alan, nothing goes better with my grape kool aid!!! :evilbat:
13. Sorry to Alan and CC, I was in a mood last night.
14.
BM, I never said right now... in fact I didnt say ever. I simply agreed Id pay good money for a pup from her because I know theyre well-bred. I wouldnt get a pup from her right now, in fact I was talking to Hmmmm about that a few days ago and you can ask her yourself. I said it would be irresponsible of me to get another dog right now or anytime in the near future.... because 1) I want to wait until my Kat and Lucky pass on so Ill have most of my time to devote to a energy-filled APBT and 2) I need to get my life straightened out as all of you have read how unstable I am. It would be AT LEAST 10 years before I would even THINK about getting a pup from Hmmmm. BTW, you cant believe everything you read on the internet. Thats all she meant. LC I dont think that was directed at you (you practically said the same thing she did), but Hmmmm, correct me if Im wrong.
Thanke for explaining! :P That is sound thinking, more what I would expect from you. Sorry I misinterpreted.
15. Oh yeah and Hmmmm, shame on us idiots who learn from reading things
16. Aaaaaaaw, how ... uh, nauseating! Hey Alan and CC, what would you do with these pups of Hmmmm's right now? Especially CC ... isn't Kat enough for you? Do you think she'd just totally welcome an APBT (however "well bred" by Hmmmm) to hang around with and share your affections?
17. :D Sorry you got hurt JM, but thanks for the smile! I was thinking about Pooh Bear being forced to attend anger management class for his unmitigated assault
18. I'm very sorry to see this ... She is so young and so beautiful  Hang in there sweetie.
19. I flew a dog Detroit to Denver once, out n=of necessity, she came out fine but it was obviously stressful. I felt really awful about boarding until after I did it; granted I found a great kennel. I agree with the above, boarding is FAR preferable and flying sould only be used when absolutely necessary.
20. I don't know about the cough but the other stuff sounds like it could be giardia ... stinks that this always happens on a holiday doesn't it? But wiht the addition of the coughing, it seems pretty serious. I'm no expert but I would personally try to find and emergency vet especially if any of the symptoms return. Good luck!
21. Oh no, to do that to their dog is terrible and to feed yours ribs when you tell them don't ... I hope you get out of there somehow to a happier place soon. :(
22.
My beagle when you call her back does a belly crawl with a look like "Please don't be mad". So I usually end up meeting her half way and picking her up.
:P
23. I am so glad they came back! GOOD dogs! Jeez your heading had me worried :o
24. Na na norma ... Na na norma ... HEY HEY HEY ... Guess the rest .... :P
25.
No, not all non-gamebred dogs are human aggressive, not all non gamebred pit bulls are human aggressive. But they are more likely to be so than a gamebred pit. Non-gamebred dogs would describe every breed but APBTs (and not all of them are). A lot of people claim APBTs and AmStaffs are the same breed. They are not. And it is usually Staffie owners who claim them to be. They are completely different breeds to me.
Makes sense to me!
