  1. Bentley's skin is fine, I have just heard it's a good supplement and really didn't know if it was something that would be good for all dogs.
  2. I have a little male maltese and want to get a female yorkie too. These are some of the names I'm thinking of using. Whitney Gracie Annie Annabelle Bella Asa Peyton
  3. Does anyone give their pupsters missing link? I heard a little about it but don't really know what its used for.
  4. I have a Maltese and have been using a mixture or equal parts of milk of magnesia, peroxide and corn starch. I usually mix about 1 tsp. of each in a bowl and paint it on with a flat paint brush (about 1/4 wide) at bedtime the night before I bathe him. Next morning I shampoo him and have found this works best on my malt. I have also tried swithching his drinking water to distilled water, giving him tums to change the ph in his tears and collirium eye drops( I know thats not spelled right),tear clear, show eyes etc. the recipe, tums and distilled water seem to be favored by a lot of malt people. Have also heard a lot mentioned about using missing link and also stay away from food or treats with red dye. I stay away from the red dye but haven't tried missing link. If you try the recipe don't get in your pupster's eyes. I found the recipe on a show/breeder/handlers web site and have also seen it on Maltese Only's web site. Good luck
  5. I had a Sheltie a few years ago and he was the most gentle little dog, I now have a Maltese and have been looking for a good shampoo. Someone told me about Pet Silk, supposedly a lot of dog show people use it. I just ordered it on line and hope to get it in soon, look them up and read about it.
  6. My little guy is named Bentley after the childrens book titled "Snowflake Bentley" it's the 1999 Caldecott Medal winner for the most distinguished American picture book for children awarded to the books artist. Its' about a man named Wilson Bentley whom back in the 1920's loved the beauty of snow so much that he was determined that his camera would capture the extraordinary and unique beauty of snowflakes. . . and of course I felt that Bentley would be the perfect name for my beautiful Maltese. I work in a childrens library and the name seemed appropriate. Everyone assumes that he is named after the car but tis inspired by a book. I registered him as Renoir's Snowflake Bentley. The Renoir comes from our last name and is fitting because of my husband artistic talent. It just all seem to tie together perfectly.
  7. Alexis, don't feel alone, I think he must feel that way about everyone. As I said most of mine don't make it through either. Sometimes I will try and post on many topics just to see how many will make it. Can't tell you how many people have come and gone from the forum (they just poof away into neverland). I was banned and had to rergister under a different name because I mentioned brand names and store names, but what I find odd is sometimes he will let someone use the brand name of a product and then other times he boots you off for doing the same, no rhyme or reason. I tried posting again tonight and I'm waiting to see if it will show up in the am.
  8. How about Frankie! When I was small we lived down the street from a German family with a daschund named Bismark.
  9. Yes, I know what you mean. It's very censored. Have you been banned from posting on it? Less than half of my post ever make it thru him. To be honest I'm at a loss as to what he will choose to let thru, even making sure I avoid brand names, links, addresses or anything offensive. But I'm addicted to malts and thats why I hang around. I visualize him as being a very arrogant individual. Thats why I thought I would play around on this site. What boards do you post on? Run into many maltese people?
  10. Hi, I have a little malt too, he's a doll. Another great Maltese site with a great forum is Maltese Only. Are they not the best little pupsters in the world? Too cute for words. Have fun with your Malt baby.
