I dunno, but I like them better than healthy ones. I'm weird, aren't I?
No, I don't think u're wierd. I'm pretty much the same way. For some reason I love older dogs, actually more than puppies. I know I'm crazy, but we all knew that anyway............

8. I have a question to ask about agility. At the seminar I went to in Richmond, they said that u should try to practice in the rain, and light snow, because trials are held rain or shine. But then, in my agility book, it says not to trial/practice in the rain because the dog can slip on the slippery wet grass and hurt themselves. So which is right? I of course don't want to ever injure Abby, and don't really know what to think. Help please!
9. Hmmm I really like the look of pitties with un-cropped ears! And BC's prick ears. All dogs are beautiful really I can't pick just one breed!!!!!!!!! LOL and BTW I absolutly LOVE u're sig Nea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D :D

About "breeders"

I think most off us gave u our opinions in the Puppy Mills and BYB's thread. :-? Personally I think u are just here to cause trouble. :-? Dogs are companions not livestock. They were bred to work for us and with us. They are intelligent and anyone who says they are "livestock" needs to open thier eyes and pull thier head out of thier a**. Sorry if that's a bit harsh but I'm tired of u coming around here and causeing so much uproar.
14. I have heard of this before, and I think it's an excellent idea! :D If only Abby weren't so high strung I'd love to try something like that with her. :(
15. Cracker is also VERY submissive. She is shy, and wary of strangers. I agree with what someone else said, using a very upbeat, happy positive voice when training can go a long way. I might have to check out one of those books u listed Nic, those would probablt prove to be helpful. :) And another bit of info, if u ever take her to some sort of obediance class, agility class or whatever, make sure u ask the trainer what their methond of training is. We made a huge mistake with this on Cracker, that has really lasted her whole life by going to a trainer that used harsh, tugging and pulling methods to teach heel, and walking on a leash. Plus he used forceful methods of pushing the dog into sits and such. We eventually relised this was a huge mistake in traning her and dropped out of the class. Now when I work with Cracker, I can't really push her in too any position because her wrong-puppy hood training made her a fear biter. :x :( I of course work around it, and she's a lot better, but choosing a trainer that knows how to handle submissive dogs is a good choice. :D
16.
After giving this some thought, I am changing my stance on "people walking dogs (though I meant Pit Bulls and such breeds) alone should be over 16". I think there are many younger then that age posters on this board that have more common sense dog wise then some adults (maybe even me ) And I think they would totally be fine walking a dog, be it a Pit Bull or Akita. I think my main concern is that so many younger teenagers, maybe not in your city or mine...but they are out there..are fighting dogs, and using Pit Bulls and other similar breeds as a status symbol, and that bothers me. What other way can you stop that without banning anyone under that age from walking or owning such breeds? So I think my first post was knee jerk to the new article. And I am sorry abker that it offended you. I do think some people under 16, are totally capable of handling dogs alone, I just worry about the ones that cannot...like that 13 year old boy. Make anymore sense?
Yes, thanks for clarifying. :D Friends? :calus: I agree with the above post that u made, I know kids my age that shouldn't be walking a chi much less a Pittie or Akita. So maturity is a very important factor, whether it be an adult or child. And parents really need to play a role in this to. That 13 yr old should have NEVER been walking a 100 lb aggresive Akita. That was most definatly the fault of the parents, and a little bit of the kid too. A 13 yr old should be able to tell what they can handle, and cannot handle. I think it sounds like this kid was out to impress his friends, so he probably didn't think about what he was doing. :-? I hope he learned a lesson though. :-?
17.
I am strong believer that only people over the age of 16 should be alone walking a dog
I'm sorry to say it, but I very strongly disagree with u. I'm under 16 and I always walk my dogs alone. :-? Actually I don't even like it when my parents walk Abby, because they don't know how to handle her. They don't know her command signals, or how to react to different things. A dog's owner is the person that know's thier dog best, and in my case that's me. So my parents don't walk Abby. I can understand why someone wouldn't want a child walking a dog that's aggresive, but other-wise I don't see a problem with it. :-? :-? :-? :-? :-?
18. Wow, that's great news!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :B-fly:
19. Thanks for u're concern Pei. :D I think that's a good suggestion, I'll down her amount by am little. :D Thanks. :D
20. Thanks to everyone for all u're help! :D :D :D I'm going to feed the amount on the can, just decrease it by a little. If they seem to need more, or it still be to much then I'll change it. I'll also look more into supplements and start the pups on that. :D
21. Yeah, those Borders really tug at u're heart.
22. No, that Chi does not look like a Chi at all. :-? Yeah, this place is a puppy mill they're offering way to many breeds. :-?
23. Oh yes, and one more thing I'd like to ask about. I've heard a lot about adding supplements to dogs food, things like fish oil, olive oil, and garlic. How do these help u're dog? Should I be giving any of them to my girls? I know this has been discussed before, so any links to previous discussions would be very helpful, or any web sites u might know of. Thanks. :D
24. :) I've finally gotton my parents to switch the dogs food to Kirkland brand. It's not the best out there, but it's the best that I can get my parents to buy. Plus I've seen a lot of improvment over this short period (About a month and half now I think) Abby's coat is a lot softer and fuller, her eyes are clear, and she seems happier. Cracker is the same way. Now both girls seem to be happy, all fleas are gone and the sores the fleas caused on Cracker have gone away. :) But now there's one more problem to address. The girls feeding times. Usually I feed them once in the evening, a big bowl of food. I've relised that I should be measuring it out would be a better idea, and also feeding them twice a day would be good. I feed them both wet and dry mixed together. On the bag of food and the can it says that dogs 40-60 lb dogs should have 1/2 can and 2 1/4 cups dry. :-? That seems a bit much to me. Both dogs are about 45 lbs. Abby gets a 20-45 min walk on school days, with an 1 1/2 hour walk on weekends and days off. Plus if I have the time she practices agility for about an hour sometimes more. Cracker gets about a 20 min walk everyday. They both seem to do well on thier exercise schedules. So I need help deciding how much they should be fed. Do u think that the amount the food lists is to much? Any help is appreciated, and sorry that I sorta rambled on there.
25. That's great DAL! :D :D :D
